The point is you dont have enough information to make an informed decision on the update. As for chronic complainers leaving the game, i couldnt care less. if you feel that the game is going in a direction that you dont like, dont play it. I would prefer that you postpone the teary-eyed posts, polls, and threats to quit until you have the opportunity to review actual patch/pts notes. In the end, good players adapt to the changes, the bad players do whatever it is that you do.
i belive that god wont suck , cuz if its sucks it'll be the end of l2 , even in korean.

all I hear is cryin, everyone cries as they gonna quit l2 when GoD comes in. Anyone who played this game more then 4 years, will not quit, u all know that to be true. I play l2 since c2 and I enjoyed most if not all classes in the game, both privs and official servers and right now I dont really care what comes next. Redducion in classes ? I say - Allright, new skills - okey dokey, big mommas pointing shotguns at little scoutgirls ? - yay! does it really matter ? No! I still gonna play :D
I always want them to update the game with new content, otherwise the game will become stagnate and all will leave. As with each and every update people will not be happy with everything. There will always be those in the community posting about this being the final straw and the game is doomed now. Thread after thread about how this race or class is nerfed now and another is overpowered. How a skill is ruined and certain classes shouldn’t get a skill.
Even with all the updates that have occurred and all the doom preached in these very forums we are yet still here paying for the pleasure of logging in and playing this game. So, yeah bring on the G.o.D. update and the next one and the next one and never stop making updates.
Doom and gloom are always expected.

U say kids i say just OldSchool i understand that there is a new dev team, i want the old one. And yes every mmo needs updates, but please work more and think more about wtf are u doing before releasing them.
My brother (M0RT0S) and I started L2 back in C1 and instantly loved the game because we could play SwS and Bd together and be the pefect combo. GoD is taking away bards and generalizing them into "Enchanters", and their buffs don't even stack in parties if you have 2. So now we probably won't even be able to work together if we both stay as support class. If we wanted this we'd just play Aion or something. Man hearing that has me so PO'd right now.
If this is what Lineage 2 will become I say bring it. Locking the servers into Hi5 would be the kiss of death for the game. Change and game evolution is what keeps the game interesting and fun to play. Once you've done and seen everything whats left?
Seen alot of focus on what some perceive as negative changes, but there are a lot of really nice and timely things coming as well.
Maybe we'll actually see some new faces and some old ones returning to give it another go.
Well, the Goddess of Destruction can make big destroy in the Lineage 2, but can take to Lineage 2 much more higher player base on world wide too.
I would like to see if the Goddess of Destruction could be release in our region too on live servers, but not in this form. I really hope and I think too, that under the Korean PTS this game will change a lot of.
The new development team is really creative, they can make amazing good things, but they have to listen stronger to the players wishes as they did in the last years. If they are ready change the things, what the Korean players will dislike and if they listen to our wishes and to listen to wishes of another regions the Goddess of Destruction can be one of the best update what is released since Perlude. So at this moment we and they just can hope, that everything will be fine at the end:)

The "new game" words are too strong words to Goddess of Destruction, but it won't change so much as mostly here the peoples think. Next of them these change will be on live client only if the Korean beta tests will be successful, but I'm sure in it there will be change many many many things.
Example many peoples cried when the first infos released about the High Five and after everybody was happy to it and this was one of the best update to Lineage II. There happened a lots of changes under the Korean beta tests too.
We will see what will happen:)
Well, I think anyway we started this Poll topic too early. Minimum at least the 85-90% or more of new features under secret still.
We should repeat this Poll when the Korean live client already released.
Let's imagine! As I told about 90% of new contents under cover we just still know a part of the changes, we not really know nothing still about the total new contents, after when these will release on test server the players will tell their experiences and maybe the 80-90% of GoD contets will be change and after when these will come to live client can we know how we will can like or dislike it.
But what is important, that not cry over still same infos as "The GoD will kill the Lineage 2", "the Lineage 2 will die when the GoD release".
Useless to make bad emotion in another players who are after this effects decide to leave the Lineage 2 or decide to don't start Lineage 2 maybe decide to don't return to Lineage 2.
Until the GoD don't release on live all shout the GoD will be the best update it will kill all another MMO!

In the Goddess of Destruction still we don't know how many time will need to get the 99 so I think the end game in the GoD will be between 86-90 level. Yes by the currently plans will 8 classes, but the new race skills will strongly influence their skills and abilities (example the Elf classes get bonus to water attacks so the Mystic Muse after the 4th class change will use mostly water attack skills, while the Arcana Mage will use fire attributed skills or the Storm Screamer wind attributed skills). As I experienced by some official video many currently available unique 2nd/3rd class skills will be available after 4th class change too (example Warcry, Thunderstorm). So if will can keep all 36 third classes their unique skills and just will be reworked the class type skills (example ultimate defense what every 4 tank classes can get now), you won't really experience, that the classes decrease to 8.
- Yes maybe the 85 level will be available faster as now, but after will come 15 levels what are maybe will hardcore levels.

We just can know these after the GoD live, don't forget at first the Korean community have like the update in the currently form.
I told, that I calculate with 86-90 level as end game level cuz if will so hard to get the new maximum levels as hard it was from 80 to get the lvl 85 in Kamael update, until the need to spend them atleast 1-2 maybe 3 years too until we will can speak 97-99 as end game.
Anyway I think the GoD will the update where can destroy a part of the currently top clans, not because the peoples may leave the game if they dont like the update. The reason, that the currently big clans, alliances as the SilentHorrors, RedSky etc., they have to XPing too for the higher level, most of them got this level by botting, and many of them already got the endgame level before the NCwest started the strong defense against the bots. So if they want repeat it again, now the bannhammer will smash them all.
So, maybe in the GoD will come the time when the legit clans will can control the servers everywhere.

1. still no pts
2. under that pts will change almost everything
3. we still don't know almost nothing about the Goddess of Destruction
They still revealed some planned new features, what we still don't know how will build in the currently game.
Next of them we all know, that everywhere everybody is angry to class reduce action, so it can be might if they Korean players won't love the 8 4th classes NCsoft will remove these from the game.
Don't forget too, that the Lineage 2 is business too for the NCsoft so currently by some statistic can play with Lineage II about 2-3 millions players on different official servers world wide. I'm sure in it, that they don't want loose millions or thousand hundreds of their subscribers, so they will have to listen to the players wishes. This is why important to make some petitions about our requests and get more and more ppls to support this.
LordRiot I can agree your position and I say for every players to follow this. Useless make panic, wait until release the live client try it and decide about the game after. If you would like see something in the game or wouldn't like to see something in the game simply make about it petitions it is help much more to use and to the NCsoft as the constant cry and QQ about everything!!!

I've played a dwarfi since debut in game 5+ years ago and now your telling me im gonna be the same as every destroyer/warlord/fortune seeker/ tyrant etc etc etc in the game? That Blows. Ive always loved being the underdog, and I've always loved being a dwarf.
I think its also a slap in the face of the players that have stuck it out 4+ years to make leveling 1-85 so easy ... we stuck thro real leveling. And yeah its nice to be able to to 80-82 in 2 weeks now but what ur telling me im gonna be able to do 1-85 in 2 weeks? I thought I was playing L2 not WoW. And what about the BILLIONS of adena spent on OE skills all that is just gonna be scrubbed? that is ANOTHER slap in the face. Should I just stop OEing my skills now?
As to the comment "anyone who has played 4 yrs + wont stop" that's bull. When your baby becomes something you could never even concieve... at one point it will get cast away. And honestly the toons playing 3,4,5 years are the toons keeping the game alive... how many toons do you see around "Oh ive only been playing for 6 months" what 1 outta 20?

Listen, we live in the year 2011, the game should change and since c1 i think you'll say it's much better now. Changes are made for the best never for the worst. New is exciting , Old is Boring.All those that want to leave be our guests, the rest of us will adapt perfectly. I really liked the trailer of GoD and i hope it's way better than it looks. Lineage needs an update on its "looks"! And since the goals of the game remain the same, im staying ! ;)

The game is always getting easier, it's not just this update... also, GoD class changes doesn't affect 1-85, so a large portion of the game is unchanged.
Also the full extent of the changes are still unknown, we're all just speculating here.

Yes , Goddess of destruction will be the most big up date of the history of L2.
All what we know is:
8 class instead 35 after the lvl 85 ( We will lost our skill each time that we take a awakened skill , But it can change cause many ppl cry about forget skill, To be continued ... )

Yes, the poll results are really close to each other the reason again just the same we don't know nothing and what we don't know we fear from it. Next of them mostly the peoples always fear from the big changes in the all part of them really life too, but sometimes we have to make big steps, step to a new and strange place where isn't same everything as before (like move to another country)

I pressed to "YES", because I'm interesting about the many new features! Yes, I don't want too so much to loose my 3rd class and skills, but it is only "plan" at the NCsoft not work on live version.
Yes, offcourse i whant the new update, and i will only pronounce myself about it when we get the translation of the official patch for when GoD goes live in Korea, until there it's a lot of speculation and no decisin NcSoft make about it is final. Still, even as it seems i can see many good reasons to have GoD here, if you guys still don't see it you're all failing to see how much Lineage 2 is screwed at this point.

ok first i dont need to wait the patch to notice that they aid in l2 (action) charateristics in a massively multiplayer game, doesnt stick imo

Well if you watch the movies better many time use the characters moirai, vesper and vorpal armors too. It is mean I think they will still useful gears at 85+ too.

If this date is true, than maybe at the second half of the next week we can see some gameplay movies too from the test server.

Awakened healer will be able to summon a tree (shown in the video) so party members can regen HP and I think MP too. Also they will summon a fairy (second summon) that can be assigned to heal a certain party member (e.g. tank) so the healer can concentrate on the rest of the party members.

Total and utter ######. Don't summoners have summons to do healing on party members? Why do healers need them, or are all healers to stupid (yes I said it) to watch 7-9 HP bars in party? If all 4th class healers get same mass heal skills, like Chain Heal and Balance Life, why do they need a healer-summon then? It's #######!!!!1111 Besides that... the thing he summons in the video looks awefully alot like a damage dealer. Shield, Sword and the dworf sends it towards a mob, why send a healer-assisting-summon to a mob? Not to heal it. IT'S A FRIGGIN' DAMAGE DEALER for a FRIGGIN' HEALER! If healers wanna DD with a summon, REROLL to a pure-summoner class or get an OP wolf!
The Romeo(?) servitor is indeed a damage dealer, its purpose is to enable the Healer to actively fight (ì*„투를 하게 한다). The Tree of Life is something like the Special Christmas Tree we got some years ago from an event. You plant it and it restores HP (and MP? the Eoh Healer is defined as a continuation of not only the Cardinal but also the two Saints). As 美晴 has pointed out on Toushijing, this relieves the Healer from constantly watching the party members' HP bars and enables him or her to summon Romeo, thus increasing the damage output of the party.
Are you serious? NCSoft adds a solo-exp skill for lv85+ healer? Making them summoner class? Goddess of Destruction plz **** of my Lineage II.
