Hello everyone

After a very long break from Lineage 2 im coming back to the game.

Simple question, are there more people leveling in the game or is it dead in the lower levels? Anything like a leveling clan or something?
Yes, that is true!
low level areas are kind of empty most of the action is on 65 - 70 areas or higher
Ok, but is it still hard to get level 65-70? Last time i played, getting to level 60 was REALLY hard

its like a walk in the park
You can do 0 - 80 in like 90 days.

Everything is empty at 80- spots. If you get a buffer out of party, that's the only (boring) way to xp as it always was.
While I'm exping my alts and subs I see enough lowbies exping on same spots with me. Those who say that everything is empty at 80- are people 85/80/80/80 that visited 80- locs a year or more ago and forgot everything that happens there.
Ofc there are more mobs than newbies on the spot but newbies can be seen and you can find party if you have rather good social skills too.

That's wrong, there are people on 60+ spots and the nice 75+ spots are particularily crowded during double XP week-ends or events.
Players have alts and subs, obviously.

Of course, those are solo spots, not players waiting for others to gather and make a random party! ;)

Really? Tell me some 80- lvl spots and I'll go there today in prime time for Naia, make screenshots then post them here. And no catas/necros pls, don't feel like screenshotting bots, if there are any left.

Actually for OP - I did actually see a solo necro in tallum set in VOS (which is 60+ spot) does that count? Oh, and also I saw a human fighter botting in Ruins of Agony, after he noticed my presence, he soe'd :/
Just came on my alt 52 destro to Seal of Shilen.
1. Seal of Shilen was occupied by archer from one side, and some DD + boxed BD+boxed buffer on another side. Boxes are not high level, I guess he is exping all of them together.
2. Cemetery from Seal of Shilen port was occupied by 2 melee people and then one necro came.
3. There was also afk person sitting on TP and some kamael ported there and ran forward deep into the Cemetery.

All of that was 11:00-11:30 server time. Naia server.

Yesterday was exping in SV same time in the morning. Three people party (party, not main and boxes, all were moving differently) ran by me deeper into the valley.

P.S.: I can report from spots if you want :D I need to exp two subs now on my alts. One is 53 lvl destro and another is 60 necro so I will be visiting a lot of newbie areas :)
This week-end I met players in Blazing Swamp and Field of Massacre, and I'm sure you can go to Pavel Ruins, you'll find a lot of people. There are also regularily players in Frozen Labyrinth.
If you go there to hunt and not to sneak in for a quick screenshot, you'll see other players. And of course on the 60- spots, it isn't everyday. There are days without anybody passing by.
Still, for Pavel Ruins I'm pretty sure you'll find a lot of people. Last time I went there during a GM buffs + vita + double xp, it was hard to find a spot to pole.
Yep, Pavel Ruins and VoS were busy last night...all in all I'd say about 40 peeps for both areas and only a few seemed to be boxed buffers. (Chronos)

And with the easier leveling, you really don't need to worry about getting top gear as you level. You'll find many posts about using C-grade gear up to A-grade, using Common Items (which through C-grade can be purchased at NPC shops) and B/A grade can now be bought at the Lux Shop in Giran for adena instead of crystals.

Look for Kama groups, I usually see people shouting for those quite often at the lower levels...and when I play a lower level toon I can usually pick up a Kama group.

If you're below 40, some clans will take you in as Academy for the rep points and if you're quite active a lot won't have a problem leveling you up as it's fairly quick.
Hey! and Welcome back = )

I am in same boat as you, I played awhile back and just recently came back (about 2 weeks ago.)

The game is very different.. I wont go into whether it is better or not, but def different ; ) I think it is cool that is has been around for awhile.. and still has stuff going on, and new exciting things around the corner.

Since you know the grind from back in the day.. you will literally blow through the lvls now. With all the events and bonus lately, it was almost a little too fast at lower levels (dare I say?)

I play casually.. like 2-4 hrs at a time maybe 3-4 days a week and in two weeks I am lv 1 to lv 53. This was with a fresh character and with the weapons and armor I could get with that character.. I joined a clan at lvl 20 that had a CH in gludio which made a huge difference.

Let me know if you are on Chronos.. and I can recommend a good academy for you to join.

Come back and check everything out, you will be lost and confused like when you started the first time. = D
Don't forget to get a wolf. It's really biiig help in leveling and earning adena :)
When you say a wolf earns you adena.. do you mean by lvling it up and then selling it? Or is there another way ?

Still ppl leveling in lower areas. Some ppl bored with 85 mains and level alts. some ppl making thei subs, some returning players.

Leveling is much faster than it used to be. In extreme occasions (full vit + nevit's + almost double XP at 80+) is 18 times faster

(Full Vit) x3
(Nevits) x1.5
(Double XP Event) x2
(Less XP needed from 78+ / XP from mobs 78+ Higher / Hunting Bonus / Replenishing Herbs) x2

(3)x(1.5)x(2)x(2)=x18 times faster the extreme case, cannot be maintained for long, still you do in one hour what would take 18 hours

For the general case, an average player, levels about 3 times faster compared to pre-vitality era.
Selling wolf is now not good way to get adena :) Lvl this furry beast and try to go with him to catacombs with warcryer or shillien elder (may be alt char) :)
I'm already lvl 28, the game is really much easier to lvl now, but it's not so easy to make some adena hehe

One thing, is there anyway to let my private shop open without having to be logged in? Or at least a smaller client so i can install here in my office just to check what i'm selling?

And yes, i'm not alone, there is some more people leveling in the llower areas hehe

Im leveling a gladiador, nickname Ducco :D

We've been asking that or a solution similar to Aion's broker. But instead we're going to get Aion's reduced class system.
Korea is far, maybe we don't shout loud enough!
