Soooo funny thing happened this morning. My clan leader PrincessAlania was holding my stuff for me while I was red. Whilst in Floren about to trade her my stuff back some person named Jezza trade spammed her. So due to our lack of communication and her failure to check the name she gave this person......Some of my IC set and tat jewels lol.... I have a comon DLE lol my armor is my bread and butter as a tank LOOL. Soo when she figured out what happened she very VERY kindly replaced my stuff with her own. I know that you cannot get most items back from scam or trades like that so I didn't bother with petition. That is until my friend Mobscene mentioned something that I am not 100% on but he claims NcSoft has been banning trade spammers since C1. Not the shout spams I mean the trade request spam.
I have not had a problem like this before so I have no knowledge of that, only what I have heard. I really felt like posting my predicament on here to discuss because I am bored of being 15 in line for petition for the last 4 hours. BUT HEY! It's cool I got armor.... But I personally feel its worth reporting if they get banned and that stuff is gone forever. And I am such a nice guy and forgiving that when I get my hero chest I will give my leader back the armor parts she gave me. I'm just reaaaaally bored of watching this line not move..
It's a case of Buyer (or in your CL's case trader) beware.
One of the login hints is "double check the player name, clan etc when you trade"

Incidentally, as it's you that was flagged red, and you who it happened too, if you were on Devianne server with that character name; after the rubbish you said to me in game, all I can say is LOL.. <emphasis on the capitals> if not, then sorry for your loss..
Having said all that, your idea of using your hero chest to pay back your CL quickly is quite decent.

If PrincessAlania ever actually manages to sell any of those crazy over-enchanted(priced) D and C grade swords her dwarf army is always selling, then the cost of replacing your stuff was probably negligible. :)

We actually kicked him from clan because we caught him breaking the eula, 'nuf said
he/you then trashtalked until everyone /blocked him...

my favourite trade spammer is the one in MRT called confirm
you get a trade window and the member name looks "just right"
I always accept the trade just to waste her time, whilst I am waiting for whatever I went for.
I once received a pm from someone with a similar name to my alt who i was stood next to, asking to "try my weapon" can i give it to her dwarf (random name) as she was in another town. big lol

Also, the "oh sorry someone scammed me your stuff" is classic too.
Even after almost 6 years in L2, it's possible to get scammed... by someone else, or yourself!

1. whilst buying Agems.. I bought 190 Red Gems @90k each :(
2. I placed a 180m item for sale @180k :((
3. I used a blessed EWS on a weapon that was +0 at the time (when they cost 400m)
I am sure I am not the only one to have done at least one of these things, (I did all of them).
Watch movie was what I did. PIP (Picture in Picture) on 55 inch tv is niiice. Was watching squidbillies and finally got reponse. Said was investigating and wanted to confirm the time and said will email me on response so not bad. I don't know about the armor getting replaced but atleast they might punish player. For those who want to trash Alanai I have not been in the clan that long but what I can say about him or her my stuff was replaced .So yeah that is good. Thanks again GM for getting to me.
My favorite game is buy some D grade weapons and do shots for every successful enchant until you break it. Then try again until you get your desired result or pass out drunk.
What i did:
back in kain times sold milions worth (for a d grader was a lot of money) cbp at the price of animal bones wasting much of my trading capital.
sold ke for 60 adena instead of 60k (when they were around that price) lucky me was just a few sieges worth.
bought blue gems (the ones you get as level 1 newbie from the gremlins) at the price of d crys (really, who would have thought someone has hundreds of those ???).
The trading scam was more popular some time ago, in Naia there is a scammer named Items which i think was in Franz too and spammed trade at mrt. Probably some ppl fall for that, or they wouldnt do it.
