u need 1 hour?
then its 23:30 if its exact a hour i doubt it prolly takes longer..
anyway how are those buffs usefull to any person who has normal day job/school all euro's apart from fews with morning/night shift or weird working schedule or nerds will be online
no offense but i find ncsoft picks most ******ed times to do mainetance..

the down times are great for the western players but are epic fail for euro players

Why the hell dont u make the maint between olympiads ... u have exactly 1h break inbetween them, like chronos oly starts 1h after naia is done. Just use brain and dont do this on server event when its definitelly not nessesary to interupt oly. Omg ... just came from work and wanted to do some of my matches and after login seen just "server goin down in 15" ... totally annoyed :mad:

you have a legit gripe, however picture this:
NCNA making the NA people angry by pleasing the euros.
it makes the same amount of people equally unhappy.
so the most convenient thing to do would be to apply the patch while the NA staff is on the clock at work.
cause they get to go home at 5pm (1700 i guess in military clock) like everyone else with a 9-5 job.
as for the buffs thnx i wont get them nice move i guess for people who can play all night :s

This could be an easy fix but ofc they wont do it.
Instead of doing the gm buffs "After the server comes back on" the way they have been doing them where they just give out GM buffs for 10 minutes
& you have to be online & at a certain place, just put a 1 time item in each of our toons inventories that we can click on & give us a 1 time gm buff round.

The servers and the majority of the population that pays the salary of techs working in the US. Most of the maintenance that needs to be done will be done during working hours.

LOL... People complaining they want the cloak and the box cause they paid for it and they want it now, and you want them not to implement the fix until you go to bed.

i was thinking more like this
EU dev/gms do chronos
while na dev/gm's do naia
then u can do maintenance at weird times for NA/EU while for the dev's or gm's its at normal time
like if a gm in NA does it at 12:00 for him it will be 6am(no clue about time zones but cant be hard finding a weird time for euro's while its normal day time or morning in NA) or so for us euro's? big deal no1 cares

the time i played is perfectly normal time for Euro to play if u take down the server at this point, ye its kinda irritating now i played l2 before and i cant remember how it was back in c5 dont care either but i do remember same problem we had in aion..
the maintenance on wensday doesnt even bother me cus im at work i dont even notice it but other people in EU prolly cant play cus of this and have to work at night or whatever
while u yanks are most likely sleep or doing your night shift which i find ******ed not that hard to check for decent time to take down a server

Let’s just try to use some common sense for a change. It is reasonable to expect NCSoft to initiate corrective maintenance as soon as they figured out how to fix the issue. If they waited until the next “scheduled†maintenance all the QQ would flow accross many threads.
People don't seem to understand the world doesn't revolve round them.
Some people playing will only be happy if there comes a button that makes them 85-100 in 1 click, with all the weapons, armors and further epic stuff that only a diehard botter can get. Come guys, leave fantasy world and come to the real life. Servers need some maintenance. Computerprograms that are flawless are rare and boring. Try to enjoy the game as much as it is and if you cant enjoy it any longer: It is a free world, yo can stop your payment and it s over. And please please stop complaing.

What's with all those people giving lessons about what's good to be criticized and what's not? If you are happy with how things are going then let it go. NCsoft won't get angry and delete your characters because some players ask ninja patches not to occur during prime time.
You're just mixing everything in order to create an imaginary player that would ask for lvl 85 + full gear and a candy bar when we're talking about a little thing that could be improved. Nobody threatened to leave because of that, nobody did a nervous depression, don't worry.

Why do Europeans think that everything must revolve around them? Honestly, people talk **** about American's being arrogant, but my experience is that too many Euros think that everyone should drop everything to make sure that they are not inconvenienced in the least (is it some kind of continent wide narcissism?). It was an emergency main't, no big deal. There have been ones in the middle of US prime time and I'd never think to complain about it.

They manage to make everyone happy with the weekly maintenance, so it's possible to find a time during the day that'll be ok for both US and EU.
