That is the date we joined the game, not the forums. He probably is here since the beta, since this forum was created just a couple of years ago.
I don't think it's date we joined game cause I started in early beta bartz server goin to Gustin in open beta when it came up but never used forums till much later.
Think these forums went live August 31st LC was one of the first register most of us are Sept 2004.
It was pain when i had to redo my forum login lol. OB was when i started i bought my game code (L2 code needed a game code after OB to play of course dont think i bought my account lol) in May of 04
no, you are right, i found the original rules of the forum but its date was sept 17th.
i'm quite sure however that so many of us registered because of that infamous uberscary announcement in game...
"the darkness is coming"
repeated at random, spawning skeletons in random spots.... nigh unto everyone in sheer panic, thinking some virus had plagued the game or hackers or some such.
The forum date has to do with when you registered for the forum, not when you started playing L2.
I started in April 2004, the birthday of nearly all my toons, but I had nothing to say on the forum til 2005, and I actually remember registering in 2005.
Everyone that thinks I post too much with my 10k post count, please look at members page sorted by post count. And notice how alot of the players with way more posts than me actually quit years ago.

And then put that in perspective.
Please.
Why do you think they quit Smittie? The game was perfect as it was?
1. They got bored.
2. They got a baby.
3. They got banned.
4. They lost their job and couldn't afford to spend money on frivolous things like games.
5. They moved to a country you cannot connect from.
.....
99. They thought "What the eff, I can't get enough adena from mob drops to get new gear, I'll just quit instead".
Im not saying the game has always been perfect. But the economy is better now than it has ever been. I don't see the problem you see.
Sorry if that offends you, but I see a thriving market where you see a dying one.

Of course you see no problem. You have 7 years worth of saved adena, and the people you ask to come post for you owe you adena help, so they'll gladly post what you ask.
How does that change the fact that since the Vit and Blessing system:
XP = 1x
Vitality + XP = 3x XP
Stacked Blessing .5x = 4.5x XP
Monsters continue to drop 1x loot
Just because YOU benefitted from the 1x loot drops for the 1x XP gain doesn't mean ANYONE since the Vitality system came out did. Of course you see no problem, you had the old money.

i think its called questing + actively working to make adena....
jus rushing to lvl up and killing best xp monsters has really never been the way to make $ even before vita. do some actual work instead of crying.
also i played for a long time before ever visiting the offical forums, kinda wish i never had.

Mine coincide. I think I registered on the forums the same day I started playing, then.
The question still stands. LordChaos is the only member on the forum with a join date before August 2004. Much earlier in fact, back in April 2004. I'm just curious as to how he got a join date before everyone else since his date goes back to before the current forums opening.
I had to post to see my Join date. Which to the game would have been three weeks before Open Beta ended.
In retrospect, it seems I remember Lord Chaos spamming the boards years ago. Maybe with his massive post count back then the GM's felt obligated to give him an honorary date that is before all others.

I think you're right Sly. I didn't play until Prelude (May of 2004), but registered here later.
BTW - I still think Hels makes a good point (that's another thread however).
