Silly, they don't mean increased marketing in NA/EU.

indeed, the high5 party was probably the only marketing tool seen during the quarter they are speaking about.

Don't forget, "increased marketing" could mean "ANY marketing" !
L2 isn't even listed as a MMO on most gaming sites.

I was looking up Guild Wars 2 info, and came across this article on IGN called "which MMO should I play?", even listing defunct titles, and Lineage 2 isn't even there (tho Aion was).

In addition to upping adena to balance the current XP imbalance, someone needs to write press releases monthly to send to ALL the gaming sites.

Also, l2 only grew in areas where botting is not allowed. It had serious decline here, quarter to quarter, probably not halved, but about 20% at least losses, judging from online presence while taking into account lesser AFK. This means that, bots being 85/80/80/80 they are no longer on 24/7, as such, online presence fell more dramatically than subscriptions did.

If they increased the adena drops, then the bots wouldn't have anyone to sell their RMT to. Gee.

Guess what, in the past there was much more adena in the market but still, RMT market was much more thriving than today. It was just less expensive per unit because it could buy less since prices were much higher due to adena supply being high.
I remember in franz bots were shouting at 5-6 cents per million (of dollar) now i see it for 300 euro a bn which means 30 euro cents a million.

Perhaps, but if there are less bots (which there are), AND people got more drops, they wouldn't need to buy adena, in which case there would be less reason to bot.

Nothing about the adena drops were changed. That's the problem, the XP/SP were increased via Vit and Blessing, but no adena was increased per mob. So... why was there more adena years ago? Because there was more botting. Now there's less botting, therefore adena prices had to go up. Giving PLAYERS more adena means they have less reason to BUY it.

Lets say they increase adena drops.
People start selling everything at higher prices because more adena is dropping.
What do we do now? Adena drops increased, but prices increased in the same proportion!!
Now I can be poor with 100 mills in my pocket! lawl.

If you actually believed that, then nothing would change for you, what's the problem?

Source? yea.. you have none since it is not true.

Monica please read the financial statements before you post.
Well my the Korean net caffee sources where the statistic shows that the players how many time spend with an MMO (they count it in hour), show good, that in the last times the statistic of Lineage 2 increased with 60% this statistics made before the first Korean beta test.

The Lineage 2 was the 3rd most played MMO in Korea with this results while the tera was with 1% or fewer before the L2.

So maybe under the the GoD beta test the Lineage 2 got the 2nd place too.

You can see, that the Russian playerbase is really fast grow too.

I really hope, that before the Goddess of Destruction release the service problem of NCwest will be solved here (any anti cheater system, a bit higher community activity etc).
If yes than the Lineage 2 can grow here dramatically too!!

This assumption is flawed. It depends on the amount the drops increase and where the money will end up. Players can increase the money they ask for certain items, but that doesn't mean they will get what they want. It is all matter of supply and demand. If there 6 sets of an armor for sale at the same time, believe me one of them will be dirt cheap still. If there is only one, it might be overpriced. Also, a large amount of adena will end up to NPC shops as new players will be able to afford what they need. A moderate increase in adena drops is not going to inflate the economy.

look at what happened with stones, they increased areas they drop at and rate and the prices of stones dropped in half or more....

so why would prices go up if they increased adena drops?

prices are determined by what someone wants to spend, not by how fat my wallet is....unless you trying to corner the market, then u got big wallet, and just want to keep the competition down

Hmm, because increasing adena drops devalues adena in exactly the same way as increasing stones drop devalues stones, isn't it?

If your adena is devalued, you will need to spend more of it to exchange it on something valuable.

It's useless to explain the basics of economy to most mmorpg players.
I see the increase in drop adena as flattening of the economy.
where only botters and large clans have to lose it.
