I think that every toon over the past 7 years that was banned for botting, rmt, etc...that had a boss jewel on it should have the jewels donated to the legits that kept the game going. Announce the name in a wall of shame and then randomly select a player in game to get the jewel.

Yes we all deserve a boss jewel, it is very important to have it specially when we do not PvP and are lowbies solo killing gazillions of mobs to level up.

All bot propaganda is made of lies. They need to convince themselves the game cannot be played without them and cannot be played legit.
But the boss items are cheaper now because NC DIDNT ban the bots.
If the bots were banned, they couldnt have sold the jewels, so they were lost and the prices would have not drop so fast.
They quit of of boredom and sold everything and they continue to do so to cash in. It pays to be a cheater when there are few cheaters. When a few ppl dont cheat, you dont really feel strong and that you proved something when you one shoot legits 50 levels before you, because on other cheaters that wouldnt work, no matter what you claim. Very few ppl are sick enough to feel pleasure in that, even tho NC did a good job gathering most of those, they are still too few to give them anything close to a profit.

Just think how long these epic bosses are farmed and how many epics they dropped over the years. Ofc the amount of jewels gets more and more. This has nothing to do with bots.

It's also cos NC changed their route from key mats+rec to fulldrops.
One of the points is that u get Moirai/Vesper/Vorpal fulldrops now at each corner from mobs.
Imagine it would still be like the Hellbound times to get Dynasty rec+parts.
Just take the Vorpal jewels as example. Ppl actually sell em to NPC. Change the drop rate to 0,00001% and see how the price will go up again.

Epic's r cheap cos game is old simple us that.who dont have aq,baium,etc etc from the clans they farm it. Why try to sell baium 2 bil when u can sell it on spot 900m?

what i am trying to say here is pretty much , unless your s@@@ing on the leaders or some high rated clannies N@@z , u wont get anything from working hard to get some of this stuff we speaking of .

I got my baium and frint cause i pvpd when asked, went to every raid. Showed up for sieges and tw. and help clannies lvl. still dont have an anthy or zaken (probably will never have an anthy) so since the zaken is affordable im farming for it. If people really wany epics then there are always ways to get some...its not easy but zakens,frints, and aq is alot easier to afford not compared to before

If you cannot make 1.5b in this game for those jewels after 6 years youre awful and you need to find a new game.

ahh yeah i remember camping aq aswell , i camped and killed it for 2 months straight before i got a Aq from clan aswell while they gave all the other ones to people that never even showed up to those kind of clan activitys , just becuz those people were long time clannies that almost never log in >_>
aq/zaken/tezza/freya is easier to affort now thats true becuz its instanced bosses or daily spawn so theres alot of ppl selling = price goes down with time ,
but i am speaking for valakas and anthy , and look at it this way , its always been /give the valakas to mages becuz of the mcrit , but yet that valakas gives 600 extra hp and 10% reuse on skills and i think 5% extra patk its also a Melee jewel but its for most part always gona go to mages .

Actually, I was thinking it would be even better if the characters would continue to take XP while logged off. For example each hour offline you get the same XP you were getting the last hour of play. Without dropping Vitality of course.

Enough parties wasted slot to take me back then, enough to make me first 78, first 80 and not first 85. THere are several prophets who achieved 85 before me anyway. Generate adena, well, i xped with strong groups so we always got to the best xp spots, that alone generates enough adena, I also did oly, even with quite terrible gear, and yet i won, was hero and got even more adena. I got epics from clan cuz i played well and deserved them, yes i was buffing whole alliances on sieges/epics, helping with oly, was active on raids etc, anyone can do it.

what NC did wrong with this whole thing, was not let us know in advance; It would have been simple. "On 1st January we will be enforcing security on the game master pages, if you don't know or remember your questions/answers, go and make a note or change them NOW! you may lose your account if you don't know the info"

Mobs bleed, Mobs Stun, Mobs root so u want epics against all that?
Why not remove all this attacks from mobs and ofc form the players also cos its bad in pvp? Wouldnt it get boring then if no skills are left?

This was happening in your server(it was Gustin?).This was not happening to Devianne/Frantz/Teon/Luna.I knew players(before the transfer service) that were searching in which server which clan is giving for sure epics to members and were creating toons there and played even if the hours were hard for them.I know a player that in one of those servers found clan that was farming AQ and with the rings he got in 1 year of playing with them as wc,he bought also several baiums/antharas and when transfer was possible he begin to transfer toons to bring epics to different servers and make money.

I don't know about Naia, Nova is the top clan in Chronos because they have a far better organization than anyone they fight against, not taking into account the use programs, in regard to organization nova > all.
Is not all about oed skills, gear and programs, takes organization to dominate a server, any server, in any game.
90 vs 500+ and the 90 win only shows that the 500 don't know what they are doing.

Epics were/are the way to make adena=real money.
Learn to read. because if your top clan didnt give you jewels you were either a non-factor scrub or your server just sucked.. either way your shortcomings are yet again not ncsoft or anyones problem.

No one powerlevel me, I level with group like dds, bps, ees, bds, swss, why would you call it "powerlevel" just because I am prophet? I level, i leveled in tons of groups, but yea, the last few 80+ lvls was done mostly with friends i made during those lowerlvl groups. Is that something normal legit player cant do? Normal legit players cant make friends or join groups?
Most PPs were crying because all they did was buff and afk, ofc i would rather box such player. I did everything my class allowed me to help my group and clan. And it was appreciated. Do you know why I got the jewels from that clan, because i made everything to help that clan. Not only come with group on siege/epics, but try to buff 200 ppl several buffs (ressist, cc, ic, ep, gshields, etc) on sieges, valakas raids etc. And also, i used my own skill to kill ppl in oly and become oly farmer and helped with lot of heroes. Normal player cant do that? Well I admit some classes cant be successful in oly, and some ppl cant help in ally-wide actions as well as I did. But I did what every normal legit prophet could use/do.
I didn't get adena because I was rare class, i got adena because i played well. My opponents there were one of the best players.

That good gesture wouldn't change anything. Also the good gesture is that you can get free bossjewels from olympiad and territory wars. Both easily achievable for normal legit players.
If your clan leader was selling boss jewels, doesnt mean every clan leader had done that. You could always top helping clan which doesnt have any semi-just epic drops distribution system. Has nothing to do with how much active/good/nice person i or someone else was in the clan.It's how clanleader was ruling his clan and in the opposite ally the other leader was also waiting for his turn to come for Bosses so he can make some money.
Players stayed in pvp clans because they liked to pvp,they went to mass raids pvps for the pvp fun and they were trying to find ways to gear their toons(rmt/botting/grinding ect. )
The only servers clans did gave antharas-valakas to members were in the low populated usa servers from what i heard from people that played there,some of them transfered there just to get geared on periods of their life that didnt work and could play during night.
I also know that with merge,ex- top clan on chronos had 3 valakas in wh and around 2 nukers left in clan,all others left and went to new clans that came thinking these clans would rule.Leader gave 1 valakas to 1 of the 2 nukers which i knew him from devianne server very well(as rest of server also),he was a perma bot from the begining of Devianne server,last years was in iop,lvling there all his accounts toons/mains/subs but never god banned,never played in a clan because he was afraid that enemys would start bot report him and not leave him to bot farm in peace and he joined this ex-top clan when all other members were quiting,since iop drops had no value anymore to stay farm them and a small spot in HB he was trying to put train also lost value of drops.
And this BOT took valakas necklace from his leader,just because he was one of the few people that were in clan!(and leader didnt care to sell epics i guess).Leader of this clan writes in this forum,if he reads my post he can post me an answer.

First, I transfered to Teon looooooooooooooooooooong time before merges. And no, it was probably hardest server to get PP hero on on hindemith. Since FatHips was my opponent, you probably dont know who he is, but ppl who know will confirm that. You can hardly find harder PP opponent than him, I trasnfered to teon and got hero first month i was there without problems. So your argument about low-pop easy-to-make-hero easy-to-make-adena server is void. And I made hero on hinde without most of the jewels, bought baium not long ago before i transfered. And most of my money i spent on baium was from other sources than oly.
And since you mentioned it, I couldnt stay to farm oly every night, more like 2 nights a week.

Anyway no point to discuss it anymore, getting free bj is stupid since L2 is all about getting there. If you will get free stuff, you will want more free stuff and then L2 will become pointless to play, go on ruoff, you can buy there everything :P

problem is that no, you wont be perma stunned, vorpal alone has huge stun ressist, oly earring has 20% (antharas 30%), afaik tw jewels have stun ressist also...so no, without antahras you will get stunned 10% like with antharas

My statement is true, you cant OE zaken/antharas and oly jewels are Agr, and they dont have ALL the bonuses of zaken/antharas (which is for example why it matters for pps more than for others, since we need every healing bonus we can get unlike almost all other classes). So thats why ppl still want zaken/A and pay its price. But for stun, root, para etc tw/oly jewels are good enough, for crit dmg antQ+olyring also.
Especially nowadays oly is much more about 10% debuff land rate than about jewels etc, you can get to the minimal 10% with any combination of tw/oly/epic jewels + talismans/sets etc.

but atarth however was in at least two of the top clans on Devianne. i've not met him in game, i dont actually know who he is, but from his earlier posts in the forum i can only surmise this hypothesis. that said, i can't say just how many jewels were handed to him free however being a necro since long long ages ago i can guess he has probably had a baium valakas and frint at least. he's posted in threads asking for necro help, and threads asking for frint tips.
but you see now the circle repeats itself. now you have the opportunity to say "those bosses were easy 4 years ago" , or even better "those bosses are instanced and can be done by anyone now and they dont count in the mega list of hardcore top players."

Just a small note regarding % resists of jewels ..
It does not sum up .. As with all probabilities its multiplied ..
Vorpal 50% resist & Jewels 30% resist has NOT an effect of 80% resist (but 65%).
As tested many times by Korean Labs % resist rates have to do with results of a given skill on a given 1vs1 scenario.
Example.
Toon A tries stun toon B 100 times and succeeds 80 times (80%)
Toon A tries stun toon B on Vorpal 100 times and succeeds 40 times (40%)
Toon A tries stun toon B on Vorpal & 30% resit jewels 100 times and succeeds 35 times (35%) and NOT 20 times (20%) as it would be if 50% and 30% were added (giving effect of 80%) instead of multiplied giving effect of 65%
Many already know, but thought it would be useful to some others.
As a side note, though I don't have any hard evidence to prove it but only info from other people and the knowledge that not all L2 game mechanics work as "described" (though not a bug but a feature) it always seemed to me that effects from real boss jewels were always greater than the ones from other type of jewels (aka TW S80) even though the numbers stated were same. First example that crosses my mind is the stun resist. You can stuck up 30% resist stun from TW jewels but the effect does not seem to be the same.
I say again, just a personal / subjective note, no real numbers and hard evidence to back it up.

Pretty sure the top clans are able to farm epic bosses for gear, no need for handouts.
The neutral clans can farm the undesirable/unimportant and uncontested pve content, then sell the fruits of this labor to eventually buy an epic from one of us.
Risk vs. Reward -- if you arent going to organize and pvp for what you want, then get out of the way for someone who is.
