I did something very stupid a few months back and was banned for it. ( I rmt'd)
After 2 mails involving me repeatedly apologizing and begging customer support, I was let back in on a fresh account.
I right now am trying to find my old clan, and having no luck at all, it was about 5 months ago I was banned.
My ingame name was Flashfire and Maelstr0m
I cannot remember the name of my old clan, and I really liked it there to.

Wait, wait. I thought RTM for one time was like a 5 to 7 day ban only. Even if it was before the new sheriff in town, they posted they were reviewing and letting peeps back who didn't do "really bad things"(tm). How is letting you back on a completely new toon any different than just starting over anyways?
while it is true confession is the first step in the road to redemption, i'm affraid if you yourself were caught and banned it is highly likely that your clan was also banned on their own merits, your shadow having first cast the doubt on their accounts to begin with.
your road to recovery will not be easy sir, i am sorry to say. it might have been easier for you had you left out the minor detail that you were banned.
however i wish you well. we need every player nowadays. it is sad that you have not yet found a clan, but i do hope you at least find out what happened to your old friends.
Hey the guy is honest you have to give him props for that! I know I wouldn't admit to getting banned for anything and look for a guild in the same post.
My Master account was originally banned, and I was told I could not start a new one.
Afterwards they unbanned it, they perma banned the sub account I was using since 2004...
I was allowed to restart a new sub account I had on the same master account.
Also they made it Very clear that any infraction again would lead to a immediate perma ban.

I thought L2 was nothing but bots and gold farmers? (which is why I quit a long time ago) I just find it amusing how the community here find it shocking when someone admits they purchased some money that I could have sworn is also supported by NCsoft because they did nothing to prevent this (but that was way before). If everyone here find money buying shocking, then how the hell is L2 the most notorious of all MMORPGs for Botting/Gold Selling?

See? you answered your own question. I'd like to be optimistic and say it has changed. However, I can tell you, at least it is still notoriously competitive, including naming and shaming any potential threats to themselves in the forums. However, publicly the community still wants to push the veil of legitimacy. I question anyone in top grade gear.
You know it's encouraging to see that botters/gold farmers are greatly reduced but it's sad it came too late because I bet you a lot of us left the game because of that particular issue.

I earned all pieces of vorpal except main from oly tokens saved up on several nobles for many months, and I sold two cow hats for 100m each so that plus consistently setting shop lets me buy the top myself; It's possible to get top gear legitly lol, despite what my ally mates may say <3
