Half hopeful, half expecting ncsoft to try and break the 6-month lead-time barrier thats existed for some time. Their efforts at community relations and events have increased in recent times, and maybe they are able to push the update faster than we are used to :)
does anyone have the time lines for the H5 Final update that went live on Korea and how fast after that we got the PTS as for some reason I remember there wasn't that much time between them ?
also I really hope that on NA PTS we will be allowed to awaken as many chars as we have slots to test this all out to see which combi will suit our play style most seeing how the uniqueness of our old 3rd class chars are being destroyed + max 7 party/server class balance on chars all around etc. as such forces many players to re consider what type of char to play as awakened class..
for example the way how I play my SwM right now might quite well be impossible to do as awakened Enchanter and if so then I will want to check if any other class might be an option as the alternative is just to simply quit the game so imo it would be a senseless way for NC Soft to lose paying customers if for almost no real effort they may be able to prevent such an outcome.
I thought BD's and SWS's would be happy about this update.
Dancing and singing every 2 minutes is freaking annoying. In GoD, Enchanters get to do a lot more. Buffs, Debuffs, Heal, CC, and attack skills. I prefer the new Enchanter over the old ones...
well if we calculate with the infos what we know may we will closer to release date.
- Sace told, that GD release will around autumn. So mostly the PTS start before the live game release with two weeks.
- In the last some years mostly the new update released here after 6 months the Korean release, but I think everybody feel and think, that GD will release much earlier than 6 months.
- Mostly the MMO companies know not good idea release a game or a bigger expansion in EU/NA at summer time.
- Almost every GD content become finalized in first days of June, so if the NCwest and NCKorea started the work in the days , they need I think minimum 2 months until they translate everything.
- As we know at usually on summer time the population activity is lower than on winter, autumn or first half of spring, so not good idea start make PTS under this time.
- Maybe can be target in the eyes of the NCwest, that GD don't release near to a new rival MMO game.
- As Sace told they count the results of Bi-Annual Player Census, maybe they will want make modifications and changes before the GD release.
Well, the most realistic option the August 31th or later.

Well, washtak has right, that don't need hurry too much. Maybe now, that the GoD released in Korea, we should write a letter to NCKorea and ask them to make some westernize changes on the GD like all bosses would be on open instanced area, unlimited clan wars etc.
I'm not developer, but I'm sure in it they wouldn't so huge work to rewrite some contents what don't make real huge difference between the EU and Korean clean, but some little changes what can make happy to EU/NA community.
I think maybe now they will again give higher focus to EU/NA region as they did some years ago. So we should try write a mail to them.
But of course can happen, that the PTS will start in 1-2 weeks.

exactly, since there are 7 slots on an account they should let everyone try all 7 classes. kind of a big deal to forever change our long-loved mains to something entirely different, need to be able to make an educated decision ...
I want to see what Kamael summoner looks like, or maybe healer or tank. also maybe won't change right away, to see which different class I might want to play depending on how things go.

Profeta got a point here. Definitely it will not lauch on summer times. I'm actually freezing a little here um Brazil but you fellow US citizens are actually enjoying your summer vacation which means it would not be wise to launch such a big deal of expansion (namely, a new Saga) in a time where most players aren't playing too much.
I bet it could launch near the end of Oct, but certainly it won't launch before Sep 20th...
