Hardcore player in Goddess of Destruction.

Well I think this is an important question too.

What will get the hardcore player in the Goddess of Destruction.

Currently seems, we can get the 99 lvl easy and in some weeks or 1-2 months. Same the situation with the items too.

As we know mostly two type of players play an MMO casual and hardcore gamers.

I think the GD will fine for the causal players who play a day 1-3 hours, but what will happen the players who likes to play about 8-12 hours too when they can do it a day.

Time to get a life? XD

Tbh even with maxed level and gear, the game will still be interesting when people have the idea of helping out other peeps. Usually the ones that will find it boring is when they only have self interest.
Profeta, have a look at what Draecke wrote about the cost of adding SAs to R-Grade weapons:
http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=193

Leveling up and getting basic equipment will be quite easy in GoD. But if you want a Blessed weapon with two SAs and maybe overenchanted armor with the special effects you get then, you will have to grind hardcore for years and years :D

Hehe: http://boards.lineage2.com/showpost.php?p=3075783&postcount=1 this will be a classic :P
Bored "actives" which have nobody to CvC with, dream at a time when they remain the only ones in the server. Remains to be seen if GMs and CMs have the same goal, but by the look of it, at least so far, it seems so.
They are close to their goal, Naia has sometimes less than 800 chars of which more than half shops, Chronos will die slower, especially if Naia "players" will be added soon.
Doing the same thing over and over wont bring different results, no matter the bans we distribute to ppl that predict acurately the future and no matter how many cheaters we unban. Even if all cheaters will be unbanned (coming soon...) that wont help more than a month or so.

Honestly I will be happy when some people quit.

Dear MaoMao

1. This thread has another topic.
2. We see too, that the server population lower than 5 years ago, but it isn't mean, that the number of subscribers is lower too.
3. It is not mean nothing wrong, that sometimes Naia has "less than 800 chars", in the WoW are many server what have "high" or "full" traffic in the most played hours while the less played hours there is online about 300-500 players. This is only show, that your "active" players aren't so active as 3 years ago so you need to understand it.
4. Mostly the "hardcore" gamers are legit peoples
5. You can't know how the EU/NA community will like the GD, currently seems mostly we will like it.
6. You can't know how could the number of players will change if near to GD the L2 could become F2P (most of peoples who play now on private server would come to play on official).
but what will happen the players who likes to play about 8-12 hours too when they can do it a day.
they will be farming money to get 3 sets of 10 super dyes (+5/+1 +25 elem def) w/ unknown random chance to get it for 1kk adena and ofc +6 blessed armor sets and ++ blessed weap w/ 2 SAs, full element :-))
Honestly I will be happy when some people quit.

You are not the only one. This is l2 "community" as it has been built by NCNA. We will see if after i am banned things will go better. Logic says no, but maybe, for once, i was wrong.

Why do you assume it will be so easy to get r99 gear?
I dont think it will be too easy to get the gear top gear/max skills etc that fast.
The lvling could be fast, depends how hard the higher lvl spots are.
he/she is disappointed in how easy it will be to hit lvl99, it's a lil to much to assume farming the raids that drops lvl99 gear will be as easy though

The question remains: Where is this coming from? Nobody of you played God on original XP rates yet, means nobody got the slightest clue on how long it will take to hit 99.

On this sentence, you are wrong
LOL that wasn't directed at anyone that had posted before my post.
It wasn't taken as such :)
We are all legit people and fully agree with MaoMao in principle. It's just her habit of derailing threads ...

But to get back on topic, Korea updated the live servers to GoD on Wednesday, June 15. On Thursday, June 23, that Wynn Summoner was lvl 87. Even if it is safe to assume that he started out at lvl 85+100%, i.e. lvl 86, it's quite impressive that he could do a whole level within little more than a week. Profeta asked an absolutely valid question.
I've seen a youtube from an aoe party in SoA on Korean Live where the char making the vid was 92+ so erm yeah..

and why was my previous post deleted ?

Also we do know precisely how much xp is needed in GoD per new level so all it means that in GoD obtaining xp has been made significantly easier compared to even the current H5 standards.
Don't expect them to cater to you because you have no job or whatever the reason you play 12 hours a day, play mutiple MMO's then I guess.

I think we all have one of those lazy days we crack out but if you do that every day you have a problem in my opinion anyway lol
not many ppl left that actually play 10+hrs a day in this game I think, it's all about knowing how to/where to XP with the right gear & set up to maximize the XP/Adena farmed ratio..

doing a few % at 85+ an hour is doable today in H5 even without max vitality/nevitts and it seems GoD will be the same or maybe even easier.
Thats the way Draecke.
Back looooong ago i played everyday like 5+ hours during the week and on weekends i passed the 10+ hours/day easily. Lol, crazy grind times with buffer in party at lvl 6x ^^

lol'd at this comment. These are not the Korean servers. People dont Help other people in these servers.

Greed, ****** Size and Scams Rule these servers, (I can only speak for Chronos dunno about Naia)

Of course I don't play everyday about 12 hours with Lineage 2.

I play nowadays with it 1-4 hours.

But many hardcore player was in the Lineage 2 and a part of them plays nowadays too, but if the another part of hardcore players who stopped play with Lineage 2 and in the GD will return again they will search these options.

Now than I really confused with the XPing than.

One time I saw a Korean video where if I saw good he was lvl 92.

Elmar told a guy made the 87 under a week so he started from 85 100% as I think it.

So if the guy was hardcore player who made the lvl 87 under 1 week it is good, because the leveling won't be super fast.
But if another guy could make lvl 92 under 1 week too, than it is sadly, because the leveling will too fast.

I like help to another players. Just mostly they ask "help me to XPing" if I help them many of them get fast higher level, but mostly they just watch how I kill and start boring it and somedays later they quit:(

So honestly I just would help to the players who really plan, that they stay not only some days or weeks.
helping others gave me nothing back... in fact they turned around and stabbed me in the back... maybe it was just because I was a prophet...
helping others gave me nothing back... in fact they turned around and stabbed me in the back... maybe it was just because I was a prophet...

this has happened to to many people from people that they thought were friends so in the end after 7 years many people tend to not want to go through that again (especially people who get scammed for big items) yea its their fault for lending something out I agree but its not different from giving some one your trust and them stepping all over it. So in general people do not help other people. Sure it goes on a little here and there but nothing like the korean servers or like it should in general. At least not on Chronos.

help but, you have to use your brain too. Of course some of the peoples sadly, but try use out the players who want help to them.

So don't give to them nothing important items except if this player is your old friend or family member or something like that.

When I told "help" I mean don't close out the newbie peoples from RB party PvP or XP party because they have weaker items as we have or lower level. Let them to become stronger too.
imo it's only normal to only help friends/clannies just never allow ppl to abuse that willingness to help. it's normal that ppl change over time or just at a certain point stop logging without even saying goodbye, has happen to me many many timez..

it's part of playing a MMO ppl come and go, cherish the moments shared :)

the way I help ppl these days is by taking them along, show them new areas & ways to xp etc. their marvel at these things is "payment" enough for me to make it worthwhile so I never lose out on it ^^

in the rare cases where ppl manage to seriously disappoint me I just remove them from FL, ignore them going forward and focus on those that are kool to play with regardless of their lvl/gear/clan w/e

also as my close friends are all 85 100% we always try to take at least 1 lowbie along to help lvling as XP is one of the easiest gifts one can handout these days and that attitude is one of the reasons our FL is increasing slowly but steady with more & more high lvl friendly players making it easy to do also things outside clan activity whenever we want it.

ofc this may all change once GoD comes out and we start the grind fest all over again but until then the aim is to get as many friends possible to 85 so they can awaken.
the help i give is always immaterial, I am poor... I helped them level with outside buffs or just putting them in my warlord alt party

then when they're at my level, they refuse to group my prophet
I hope that they can balance very slow vs very fast leveling.

Pre-Freya, leveling past 78 was really slow, discouraging many casuals and turning Lineage II grind to a second job for hardcore players. Post Hi5 leveling at specific areas for specific 80+ classes combined with vit items and double XP was a bit faster than it should be.

Leveling past 86 should be fast enough not to discourage casuals but slow enough so not all can be 99 in 2 months. But not so slow that leveling could be done only if you play 6 hours a day and only in "perfect" const. That's not a healthy gaming experience, it's a full time job.

Some of the initial L2 population grew up .. They were students six years ago, now they have full time jobs, wife, kids .. Any MMO should give hardcore players lots of things to do but also offer some sense of "competing" to 2 hrs/day casuals.

Not to burst anyones bubble but xp hasnt been an issue for a loooong time. Hell, my box Titan was 86 2 years+ ago...
The question remains, why do ppl assume it will be so so easy to get top r99 gear, epic tats, double SAs and whatnot? The non-PvP part of this game goes way beyond getting to max level so QQing about how easy it will be in GoD is simply pre- and immature.
That's what I was trying to explain on the previous page. Leveling up and getting basic, Unidentified equipment will be not too hard. But then you will have to farm Fame for many months to get good tattoos:
http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11&start=630#p2912
You will have to kill countless Bosses to get together 10 Rare Soul Crystal Fragments you can then assemble, and after that you still need thousands of R-Grade Gemstones for your second SA:
http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=193
Not to mention the Carved Codices you will need to buy if you really want to overenchant all your skills to +10. 35 million for a normal one, 250 million for a Mastery Codex, plus Olympiad Tokens plus Fame:
http://boards.rochand.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=11&hilit=Carved+Codices&start=200#p1173

To say it again - if you want everything that can be had, you will have to grind hardcore for years and years.
@Shinnai why quote my post as I wasn't complaining about the XP grind au contraire.. been 85+ for years as well..

also even though regular R grade stuff will be very easy to get the lvl99 stuff or those items that will define the new end game aspects not so, see also yidao's posts on that

end game in GoD will be about farming gear, not XP just like how it has been for quite a while now..

in short we kind of are in agreement :)
It will be a race to 99.100% with a very small amount of pvp.
After the first clan is good in that lvls + gear trashtalk + pvp/griefing will start.

Thats how it was mostly. And the pvp for xp/spoil spots will be lesser with all the instances i think.
