Now you can be a tank or dagger, even a summoner too.
Which I didn't know till last night..:p
That's a pretty old news :p one month old, at least.
However, I'd like to know:
how do those Korean players who play kamaels feel about having their unique classes mashed and mixed with any other race's classes until they've lost their unique identity completely?
You see, if I chose to play a berserker I did it because I found it different from other warrior classes (which changed in Hi5 though). If I pick a soulbreaker I do it because playing a "hybrid" class seems fun and refreshing.
So now, what do you get instead of your formerly-unique Doombringer? "just another Tyr-warrior"?
What do you get instead of your swift and evasive Soulhound? just another "merged wizard"?
What do you get instead of your oh-so-rare Judicator? just another "combo buffer"?
yes so the MAIN can be anything but what about the subs? if we cannot change our subs to other races' classes, then we are still only limited to archer, nuker, buffer sub (in my case, or warrior/nuker/buffer for trickster main or warrior/archer/buffer for soulhound main). Can the sub chosen for dual-main also change to any class or not?
and about not being unique anymore, it ****** me off greatly when rush impact got handed out but what we think doesn't matter anyway; also it's in NC's best interest to please the most people (all dorfs/orcs/human fighters) possible by giving them those cool skills, who cares if they piss off the few devoted kamaels who've played the class for 3 years.
we'll still look different and have a few different race passives/skills but... anyway I gave up caring awhile ago. But I've never been happy about it.
also it will be interesting to see if I can keep some of the Judi skills after awakening, those are still hax, and being able to finally level past 80 and enchant decently will be nice.
you do know that judicators will awaken as enchanter right ? aka GoD's new bufpet..
to bad Koreans don't realize the mentality difference outside their Asian market.. I do wonder how many live enchanters will be left on NA once GoD go live as this could really end up like how most ppl treat prophets now..

GoD Enchanter = WC/OL/BD/SWS merged
Why in the world do you say they will be treated as a PP?
cause ppl tend to take the easy aka unsocial way out if they can get more xp/adena for themselves by boxing oop an Enchanter just like they do with PP/DC now or better said those folks/parties that currently tend to box oop support will continue to do so in GoD so yeah w/e maybe I'm just being negative eh ;)
The game design certainly has a problem here but I know no easy way of fixing that myself... Neither do NCsoft I guess.
On one hand a good live DC is better than a buffbot DC, but on the other hand at least 70% of the live DCs I invited into my GC groups were afk when buffs ran out.
So if I'm going to have more reliable buffs + buffs whenever I want them I will ofc opt for the personal buffbot DC - why wouldn't I?
They would have to make some profound changes to how buffs are handled in this game to make a buffbot DC considerably worse than a live DC. For example buffs would have to work like auras and disappear when the buffer leaves the group and the buffer would have to hit mobs in order to be able to buff, etc.
All buffs, Dances and songs should be 20 minutes... that would fix everything. buffers would still be AFK most of the time but they wouldn't missed for awhile.

A older gamer that I played a lot, Dark Age of Camleot, had a very similar setup as Lineage 2, when it came to buffs. They solved it pretty easy with just saying, if you group drops, well, so does your buffs.
"Buff" pets did exsist, but they had to eat exp, just like everyone else. And when it came to that route, people really prefered a live one.
