We not have a place online where there is lore up to GD. Actually, many of the last updates we've had included very little lore. The lore that it did include is found on the patch notes pages. For example, in the Freya section, you can read the story of Freya and how she came to be. GD is bringing a lot more lore, so once that is launched it will be more feasible to create an updated lore collection. It's something I personally would like to do.

If it is like last time, this only affects the respawn rate of standard raid bosses, not the instance timer for the instanced bosses. I.e. Zaken/Frint/Freya etc. should stay the same.

Double xp was originally planned for after the bunny event. Since that was postponed, they pushed double xp week up. The correct date is July 6th start.

The correct dates for the Player Appreciation Week are July 6 to July 13. Oddly, my newsletters (I get 2 copies of them) both say the correct dates. Somehow you seem to have gotten the old version. o.O Really weird, I've emailed the newsletter folks about this.

If no, it may be because it's a GM Event which is not granted each time you want it :rolleyes:

We will be refilling vitality during maintenance, so make sure you use it up before Wednesday morning.
just trying to point out that adena is more needed than xp, especially with so much vit events/stuff lately.
Yeah, I totally agree with you... I'm suffering of lack of adena because of that too... still I just think 4x would be over kill to the market, whichi will become flooded with boss jewels and stuff... Just a remark tho... 4x adena would help me to catch up with my grade...

However, his little cat backpack is a bit small and he can only fit in 4 buff potions at a time. Then on Sunday he'll make a brief absence, and when he returns (still on Sunday July 10) he'll give you the other 3 buff potions, making a total of 7.

Awesome if Cryo will be on a couple of times again. Vit 4 is cool to get after maintenance, but after 1 hour of FoG / GC it's gone already :( I'd make good use of the replenished vit each time Cryo hops to FI ;)
Can I suggest something for next Double XP week, how about 1/2 priced Nevit's Hourglass during the event. We could all get ready for GoD by release date and not be completely poor when we get there.

Sorry to say, but you get again 1 full week of 2x XP + vit restore while downtime + GM buffs + vit restore from GM's during it + some buff pots and now you want more???
I can understand, that its a bit sad for newer players, that such a big update like GoD comes and they will need a bit longer to get to that lvl.
But with GoD release xping will be lot faster again.
Else NC should make every1 instant 85, but before that i am for a server wipe. Think would be lot of fun to hunt all the "old places" again and get the nostalgic feeling during :D
Well, it is not like GM buffs and vit refills are on a schedule. I received exactly 3 gm buffs the previous XP week due to the fact I can not camp out on L2 24/7 only to then run like made to FI only to get stuck there for 10 minutes because the area is over run with players. It would save a lot of aggravation for the GM's to skip the buffs and give us the half price hourglass IMO. We have clannies that can buff.
+1 to that! My main only has 1 left, one account has none at all while my 3rd account has 9 left and not really using them (being boxed and leech doesn't eat vit as fast as being in battle on main char)
They could give us Vit Maintenance potions. Or better yet MORE RE-VITA POPS!!!!! And Vit cookies and sugar plums and Vit pixie dust and all that ship.

The Angel Cat Reward NPC has surprised us all with his behavior this past week. It seems that, in introducing him earlier than planned, we did not yet fully understand how he functions. While this past week has been odd, and we are still investigating some of his weirdness, we are confident that we know how he will behave during the Player Appreciation Week: he'll be on for the first 4 days and will give 4 buff potions to one character per account per server. On Sunday July 10, he'll take a quick break to refill his cat backpack and he'll be back that same day, and stay for the next three days until the next maintenance, and give 3 more buff potions to one character per account per server. That will make a total of 7 buff potions for Player Appreciation Week.
Of course, if your character(s) receive more or different amounts than the above prediction, let us know. :)

The Event Gatekeeper is there because he can provide free teleports. The News Informer felt left out, so he was included also. But please note that this particular News Informer does not come with the epic quest reset option. He's just the same guy as we saw after High Five; he'll tell you about the 'new' zones and what not. We are not able to get a News Informer that resets the epic quest at this time.
As for Angel Cat, he'll be on the server shortly, he needs a personal invitation. XD

Oh my god, you all think that double drop will make the rain of element stones :P There is not much difference on spots like delusion, GC upper, lower, DoE with stone drop cause from for example 2 or 4 % (GC) or 0.5 - 1% is not that huge boost O.o
There is difference when stone drop is higher than at least 10%, but we all know it's korean random and sometimes you may not feel double drop :)
What does double rate? The drop is reduced by 50% . I noticed that after a day and I do not think I am wrong.

Good event so far, the major highlight is the 0xp loss on death, meaning PvP is more open to everyone to enjoy, and tough PvE areas can be fully explored for those too shy beforehand :)

The Heavenly Envoy was giving 1 potion for several hours due to a problem with the NPC server. We gave him a time out for a few minutes this morning, so he should now be giving 4 potions again.

It was a glitch that the News Informer appeared at all. It is not a glitch that he cannot reset the epic quest. We knew he couldn't reset the epic quest and didn't have much use otherwise, so we weren't planning to include him, but he showed up anyways. What a rebel. We do not currently have any plans or news about if the epic quest reset option might be available again.
Is anyone on Chronos only getting one event potion? I got one on Chronos, four on Naia.
We've noticed this as well and we believe that it was because of a brief NPC crash on Chronos about 12 hours ago, resetting Angel Cat's timer/behavior. We've respawned him about 1 hour ago and he is now giving how 4 potions again.
However:
If you collected your 4 buff potions before the NPC crash 12 hours ago, Angel Cat will not give you more (you've already collected your 4).
If you haven't collected anything from him since maintenance yesterday, you will be able to get 4 buff potions from Angel Cat (on one character per server per account). You will be in no danger of receiving only 1.
If you have received only 1 buff potion since maintenance yesterday, that means you collected that potion after the NPC crash. Unfortunately, us respawning him still recognizes that you 'collected your gift' and he will not give you anymore. If you collected only 1, we will compensate you the other 3 buff potions. To get your other 3 potions, you need to submit a support ticket (https://help.ncsoft.com/app/ask) so that the GMs can verify the error and compensate you. When you submit the ticket, write "Lineage II Gameplay Support – Angelcat" in the subject line.
Remember, this issue only effected Chronos. Naia players should have received their 4 potions as expected.
They need to get one of those spray bottles give that cat a face full of water!!!

Second, this is so funny about the NPCs. From the outside looking in, it is too funny to see them fighting to get back on the server. Maybe they are real and demand attention from time to time from you all.
After all the cat is but a new comer and now all the old ones are tired of being shut up in their bit closet and want to come out and play with us.

Well i dont think that too many will play at 02:00+++ during the week cos of work/school (maybe if u take a week free cos of 2x XP ^^).

Thing that bothers me is that they don't buffing sieges, because GM's aren't allow to interfere with gameplay. I completely agree and understand this decision. BUT the last 2 or 3 (including this one) are held during Euro Siege weeks which are one week off from the US Sieges. Giving US-server players an unfair advantage over EU-server players. Because US don't lose 6-8hrs of exp because of TW+Sieges.
Is the lag that bad for EU players on Chronos? I've seen a lot of QQ about Naia don't getting what Chronos does...
Giving the small number of players on both, I suppose they should merge the servers once again... this time for only one server. Get the Naias money and build something good with a good internet link so EU players don't get lag and done. ^^
Or just Host it on GreenLand, which is midway.

I should be able to at least reach 84, maybe 85? The bad news (for me) is that I blew out my disc and had surgery a week ago [I've broken probably 50 bones in my body - nothing hurt as bad as that] powerlifting and aggrevating an old rugby injury (used to play for a Big Ten school). So, I'm stuck on my back for at least 2 weeks (tho still doing some work at home).
The good news is, it just happens to be Player Appreciation week - which just got extended. So, got my 6-year old laptop to play while watchin' TV (and the kids, when I can). I leveled more in the last 5 days since surgery than i have in the last 6 months. Thanks Sace and team. It sucks getting sliced open like that, but this event sure helpls! :)

+1 to that. SE's are my (2nd) favorate class of all time (my main on this account is a new SE from Anniversary Event). One of my closest friends in game was a SE - from C1-C5+, named "Unem". She was from North Africa, moved to Canada, and eventually to the U.S. Quite a story there - best person ever to have in a group.
I know i ***** a bunch on here, but sure appreciate this Sace and everyone else from NCNW. Now, if there was just some way to make adena for the average player - that would fix things a lot [I just want to be able to afford S80 and S84 - mid grade items]. I know I'm still complainin', but I still think that if there was an easier way to get gear (or get money to get gear), this game's popularity would just explode! Top gear should be hard to get (you guys that spend hours and hours each day, do deserve the top stuff if you're doing the top raids and stuff), but S80 and Mid-S84 (esp. now with GoD coming), should be attainable for someone dedicating 20hrs (okay, maybe 25hrs) per week of game play. I don't know the answer - more events like this? (sure helps), other special events like the Bunny Event, quests taht give more adena/good gear, or a minimall shop to buy some things (really, just getting the SA Crystal and S Gems for an SA - if that were simpler, and getting things like Elemental Crystals) - would help. I may be simple minded (okay, maybe I was invited to join Mensa - or whatever it's called, i belong to more academic and leadership honoraries than i can count), but just making good gear more attainable for someone who still wants to play, but can only commit 20 hrs a week [and who doesn't want to spend a ton on adena shops] seems like such a simple solution to really expand the attraction to keep playing.
End rant. Thanks for the event Sace and company. Speaking (a bit) for those who don't visit the forums much, and have limited time to play, we really appreciate this. It means agreat deal - especially for those of use in smaller clans, and trying to help new/returning players to enjoy the game, and keep up their interest.

I waited whole day now for new vita and gm buffs, and what happend? nothing ... not 1 time buffs on saturday so far, and the day is near finished in europe. I dont want to QQ but I cant understand it. You dont need to come every time for 20 min, when you say its "weekend" 5 min would be enough for more then the half server.
Im little disappointed at all.

I dont want to QQ but I cant understand it. You dont need to come every time for 20 min, when you say its "weekend" 5 min would be enough for more then the half server.
Im little disappointed at all.

How about another week? I've just returned to L2 after 7 years and it is nice to be able to level so quickly to try and catch up with everyone. I want to get high so I can start participating in the castle sieges again.

A big thank you to the Community and Event team for organizing this. Sadly, I missed the first week but the Double XP/Money, Vit. refresh, and GM buffs were more than enough to rekindle my love for Lineage 2.
