Those were the days, my friend
I thought they would never end....
Yes, I miss those days so much. Running around in this huge universe. Everything being one big mystery. Having crappy gear and Cruma Tower being the most scary hunting spot ever. Pkers lurking in the corvers of Execution grounds. Farmer protectors sending high levels (40+) to kill you if you tried to take their spots. Doing AOE on Lerein / Lerein Elders in Elven forest. Meeting new people around every corner. No money for porting so you had to run from town to town. I could go on and on ,-D
Didnt we just recently have an event where an item made us look like we were wearing d-grade?

Thats pretty much C1 to me :D
One of the coolest L2 videos. This is actually how i started this game. In the internet club i was visiting a sysadmin showed it to me and few more and they hyped me enough to give it a try =) before that i was playing mainly Diablo 2 (retail and modes like eastern sun) and Counter-Strike :D
Great Vid! Like Artemis says, brings back great memories. That DE on the cover of the original L2 game package, and videos like this, got me to play [in fact, my main looks exactly like the DE mage in Demon robes on the cover - no coincidence there].

Back then (and probably through about C3), mass PvP, Sieges, etc., were based a lot on combat tactics. Not on programs. You had a fair chance - and would last a lot longer in sieges. Strategy was most important. Those were the days.
Yup those were the days Max. Some of the things I actually miss the most is the "no rush" part. Of course it was annoying having to sit down and regenerate MP and HP all the time, but you always did have someone next to you you could talk to. So you had loads of social stuff going on. Also, I think we are lacking behind in the roleplay-department. I used to go to elven village and praise Eva for the blessings she has given me. *smirk*
I had loads of fun in Abandoned Camp and Cruma Tower. Those were awesome places back then. Funny times being a full party in AB and practically pulling the entire place and doing AOE. With our limited buffs/skills and equipment that was really scared sometimes! ,-) Kinda like the first time you enter Frint and seing the massive spawn just running towards you! lol

And not to forget the shops in Elven Village selling their old NG equipment!

Which was when I discovered that setting up a shop and logging out didn't leave the shop running :(

Dynasty was the name of the top-ally on the server. The name you're looking for was Dragon ;) Yes I was present when the server fought against them ;D

I'm still trying to get some of the mobs in Abandoned Camp to give me the 5million adena for not killing them! They continue to promise the same things!

Yup - was Dragon. I remember that massive siege at Dion. Froze a few seconds after getting on Siege grounds. Bet I lost close to a level there - but was fun.

Dynasty came later - maybe evolved to a power-caln end of C1?, definitely by C2 through about C3 and possibly later. Was in "Dark-Light" against Dragon (massacre), and Mercs mostly against Dynasty (later Syndicate).
