I have this question,although it might be stupid....I didn't know if there was another thread so i created a new one.Sorry if there's already one....
Anyway....How do I open those flaming treasure chests???
I used my assasin skill "unlock",about three master keys,tried to hit it....But every time it just dissapears after it attacks me! I thought it was just a regular monster but then a message appeared that I could open it with a master key....
What should I do to open it?
most people use Maestro key which is purchased from the NPC item shop. you must be approximately the same level as the chest and the chest seem to explode more often than they give up rewards.
buy some maestro keys from groccery, they are cheap

Anyway,the only time they seem to explode is when they attack me...after that,when I try to open them they just disapear into thin air...Does it have to do that they are less lvl than me? They're names are green or purple and sometimes white.
Usually, if the chest is an area where you are xp'ing, it will be within the range you need to be to open successfully. If you are running across all of Aden looking for them, they you will need an alt or two lower or higher to get the success.
For example, for a ccq I was in the Maile Lizardmen area and two chests are just sitting there making faces at me. Too bad I was 39 level and those chests were dark blue. I had no other toon lower than that one that I could run out there to try opening. Oh well. "I will find your brothers you nasty chests making faces at me." I said, while I shook my fist at them. (I didn't really do this while sitting at the computer, just the little dialogue in my mind, hehe)

Hit them till their HP runs out and then use the key?
Use the key and wait? (alredy tried it,it hit me and disapeared)

I used the key but nothing happened, exept that the chest went mad,hit me and killed my wolf, and then dissapeared.....it was because it was light blue, huh...?

there are chest in gc .. at last in the entrance area, opend several myself. Never saw a chest in Fog or lower leves of GC .. but that dosnt mean they dont exist ^^. And there are alot of chest in Varkas .. but as mentioned above, some ppl figured that out aswell.
There are chests in lower GC also. But also 3-4 TH's in stealth running around also. GL getting to them before they do.
no need luck, just a tactic, before start maintenance go to gc and you just need to login in right time, and you can find tc :) and then start your stopper and set it to 1 hour and 55 min, and that it.

Anybody knows the respawn time of treasure chests? I think it is about 2 hours but I can not tell for sure.
Characters with stealth can do much better than other, I have a sub adventurer and I have fun some times hunting some chests.
Someone told me that even if you see them blue they can still be opened. I tried it and it works.
Spawns spot are not static but they are at about the same area/spot
