As you know, we've been giving players GM buffs and vitality refills when we are able to come online during double XP events. Because the player-base for both servers is world-wide, and players are logging in from different timezones, it is difficult for us to accommodate all players' play schedules according to the GMs' North American schedules.
So, we'd like to know what time works best for you! :) Please take the poll and we'll do our best to meet the needs of the masses.
Instructions:
The Chronos server is located in Dallas, Texas, USA, and the time-frames listed in this poll are in the North American Central timezone. Here is how to calculate what time-frame to choose:
Under "Select time and place to convert from:" Enter the time of day that would be optimal for your to receive buffs. (Leave today at today's date.)
Enter your location in the world.
Under "Select place to convert to:" Choose U.S.A - Texas - Dallas.
Press 'Convert time.'
A new page will load and will show you the equivalent time in the Dallas timezone.
Your answer in this poll must match the Dallas time that you just calculate.
For example: if you are in the London timezone and you choose 8pm, and you convert it to U.S.A - Texas - Dallas time, you will see 2pm. Choose the 2pm timeframe in this poll.
Are these timezones for the weekday of the event, the weekend of the event, or every day of the event?
I'd choose the evening hours for the weekdays, but on a weekend, I'd choose the afternoon hours, maybe also the middle-of-the-night hours. It depends on the day for me.
Hi, Sace, I think you could do some kind of "regular" buffs twice a day. One in US prime time (I dont know lets say between 6-9 PM) and one in EU prime time (again 6-9 PM - I think it is +5 hrs against Dallas time). This could be applied to both servers. And maybe one or two additional buff rounds mean while.
vitality and gm buffs are like crack cocaine and sace is the dealer. it seems few people go to xp unless they get vit and buffs. then there is a mad scramble to xp for one hour and then the zombies return to FI to await their next fix. not really sure the buffs and vit are helping the game. when people go into withdrawl on wednesday, and the grind seems super slow, its gonna be ugly.
Voted later. Most players (those playing, not spamming on the boards all day), work, go to school, or both during the day in NA. On the East coast this will be later, and many of us eat dinner, etc., through 6pm.
I'm sure that you're gonna get lots of different answers on the boards versus real players, because many here on the boards here don't seem to work.....normal hours. Speaking for most of the average players out there with goals outside of L2, later is better, as long as we have a chance to get GM buffs probably before 11pm (before 10pm would be better).
Made some good points on NAIA too. Although most ppl that work go to sleep sometime after news (1030 central, 1130 eastern - many go to sleep b/f that, around 1030-1100pm - at least in MI, OH). At least if they're later, we can get them and use next day (say if after work at 6-7pm, we get on around 7-9pm, play maybe 1-3 hours - maybe).
i think having a set time would be alot better... or a NPC where you can recieve GM buff/vit every so many hours.
i really dont care if i get them or not, but it would be better if i didnt have a party goin or some raid and all of a sudden everyone wants to run to town to get vit. if people knew when they could get them or could chose from npc then they could plan it instead of going crazy for them when they are anounced.
we all have been talking about that long time ago so i thing NCwest should really think of making a NPC who will look like npc cat or adventure guides man or nevits npc or even gatekeeper with an option " Receive Vita and GM buffs for 1 hr" every lets say 2 times a day with 12hr delay or make it like cubics )))
think NCwest think )))))
we appreciate all work u do for us, why? cause we are still here and we are playing L2
