This is not like WoW, where your toon behaves in a way in the common world but in a entire different way in Northerend or Outland, like some skills that can only be used in these places, at least until Burning Crusade.
The Awakening is a Permanent Class Change as any other in Lineage 2, it's your next step, when you awake your latent powers from deep within and surpasses your mortal bounds... so-to-speak.
Also, the jump is massive... I bet Awaken Classes would slaughter any 3rd Class...
Take Iss Enchanter i.e.: It has TONS os passives that give it STR... With a P.Atk. that high and R-Grade weps, it's kinda hard to resist...
Awakening is not like a transformation, it's just yourself, stronger...
I only pray Lineage 2 don't go on and expand into 100+ Levels... I mean, I don't wanna see toons going to 150 or so... Cabal Online has enough of it...

I think that you pray fo nothing. there will have lvl 100+ in the incoming up date after GoD.
As the xp is so easy its like if lvl 85 was the new lvl 1 same if it is not a new lvl 1.
Just look at the race special skill , all race skill got at low lvl like elemental heal ( elf ) , Shadow sense( dark elf ), toughness and Iron body ( Orc ) , weight limit and dwarven craft ( Dwarf ). to learn new one so we start at 0.
After the Awakening your HP / CP is greatly increase and you lose all your old skill .
all make me think that there will have new lvl because in korean there is already some player lvl 99 and if no more lvl it will be boring
