Dear Sace, Moxie, Cryo and all the others from our NCSoft team :)
Sadly on this forums all too often all the feedback you hear from us is "we want more" or "when do we finally get", "NCsoft how about" and "lol NCsoft soon lol" etc - and while looking at the past it is clear where this attitude is coming from. I think, however, that by now most of the issues have been addressed and your effort to talk to us, listen to us and to make us happy has increased by a lot!!!
There have been countless examples lately that show this, some of which are:
Your continued effort in bringing us nice events, both money and XP and listening to the feedback and improving on it
The nice "Player & Staff Focus Chat" thread you created last month
Your effort in finding new things to give to us like the buff-pot cats you have brought into the game, even though you have no ability to change the server code and are thus very limited in your options
The 20 min GM-buffing duration instead of the 10 minutes in the past, together with nice announcements every 5 minutes and one final buff round after saying goodbye already for those people that came a bit late to the last warning ;)
The polls you have created asking us when our favorite buff times are so that you can focus your efforts on those times
The general amount of 'official' responses as well as the reaction time on the forums have both increased substantially
The heavily decreased numbers of botters in the game these days, even though PVP helpers are the next big issue to tackle
Many other things that I do not have present in my head right now
All these things show us more and more that you care, and it is much appreciated!!!
Therefore my big THANK YOU to the entire team and I am confident that if you keep this level of support up nobody will leave the game for reasons like "the game was too hard to level up in", "I couldn't get any money", "there were botters everywhere" and "I felt left alone by NCsoft".
Everyone who also feels that our NCsoft team deserves a thank you occasionally +1 this :D

Perhaps they should thank the legits that stuck this **** out and continue to watch PVP in a PVP game dominated by cheaters. Oh wait, if they go after those players, then we down to only 84 players....
Leave the game on Perma dbl xp/dbl drop til G0D then I would say thanks from the casual legits that pay the bills and the gm's salaries.
Perhaps they should thank the legits that stuck this **** out and continue to watch PVP in a PVP game dominated by cheaters. Oh wait, if they go after those players, then we down to only 84 players....

I need to get a bus every single day so I can get to work. Still, every single day, I thank the bus driver that drives it (as I get the same bus at the same time, it's usually the same driver), even tho I pay for his salary with my taxes.
I always thank my professors at the college when they sucess in teaching us something, even tho they are only doing what they were meant to do.
I thank every day the receptionist from this building I work into, even tho she is only doing what she was meant to do.
Thanking is not meant to be done only when someone does something that one isn't meant to originally, thanking is for showing that you are happy with what is being done and how it's being done. Thanking is for showing that you are grateful with something and you don't care if that's part of someones job or just some extra cream on your sweet sweet coffee...
Break that hard shell of "It's only your job, I'm dissaponted". Think they should do better? Show us, if you are that better, go get a job at NCWest, as they are needing people. Make your words worth and show us how it's done, instead of sitting there complaining while you don't actually know how it is to run a game like this, when it's developed in another country, with another language and another culture.
People like you that can only think about money and business are the kind of people that I hate most. That's one of the few things I love in my country, people here hardly think that way.
As to the topic, I already thanked Sace and the NCSoft West team in forums and PMs, but still I must +1 this thread!
However, as Ykara said, this is just the tip of the iceberg. Let's keep up the pace and good working together now shall we? There are indeed some more problems to fix, some more library pages to update... But loyal players are here to see this team raise up back!
Luxiel, with all due respect, you seem like a very nice person and I am glad you are playing Lineage 2. But please keep in mind that this game is 7 years old, and look at my join date...I stuck this game out and will thank GM's when "cheaters" are gone not when NCSOFT throws a bone to it's paying customers. Do you think the ex botters, rmt'ers and pvp cheats care about what GM's are giving now? They are not posting here....
There are 2 servers left for a reason, the largest of all being NCSoft's NA inability to GM it's own game.....so yes, TY Sace and Crew for the last 3 months, but +1 to the post? Nope, give dbl xp/dbl drop until G0D and I will take that to be a "sorry" to the legits that are left and are trying to catch up to the cheaters that are still here.
BTW I am 85 100%..I don't care about levelling for myself, but i do care about empty servers..just watch the server status tonight as xp is regualr again..

Another + is the fact, that u are rly rly lonely until A Grade or even S Grade. And solo xping most of the time is just boring.
(Would prefer server wipe and again xping 1-86 over all)

I do endorse your idea of keeping 2x XP and Drops until GoD, as I already stated on the topic strict related to this.
Still, complaing and charging people makes they work worse. I can say that by my own experience. Thanks and support always work better and I guess that older players should take a lead into this and support the team they claim to pay for.
People had came and gone from this very same team, which is now reduced to a few people that are trying their best to not break the initial purpose of the game or the events that came from Korea.
Hearing the forums and the online players and extending this last Player Appreciation Week was a GREAT effort! I can name THOUSANDS of companies that run games world wide and just don't hear what their players want.
I was just unhappy with the way you treated a team that is trying (they AREN'T perfect, no one actually is) and, if someone thinks it could be better, there are suggestion topics and one can always apply for a job at NCWest (If you live in the US, I myself would apply but I live a little bit far from Dallas or Seattle).
Sace has PM open in this forum and I got answers from her for every single one I sent. She's our Community Manager, that's what she does, a bridge between us and the rest of the team.
See? We have plenty channels to ask for changes and try to discover why this or that isn't working. But they are still people, respect and calm should apply to EVERYONE in this world EQUALLY.
No meant to start a discussion here, but I find your point wrong in that manner.
BTW Luxiel, would you thank the same bus driver if you were the only one paying to get onto the bus? And you did not get a seat, because the best ones were taken...that is how the cheaters prospered in this game, and still do....so ty NC for the DBL xp ( I don't need it) but giving it to players, is, in my opinion, their job.

What was still good to see it is the next, currently I'm in a clan a Naia where we invite many low level newbies too while many of us already 85 and was nice to see how they enjoyed the better drop and XP rates. By the fact, that we didn't loose xp helped too, we could try in pve our highest abilities without the risk, that if we will fail loose XP.
Sace, You wrote you still plan double XP before the GD, I hope will be double drop rates too and many of us hope it. But please don't make, that event earlier than October, many players now on vacation and in September start again the work and school days, so the players may than can spend again fewer time with play game, while they pick up the rhythm of the work or school. But I think from October will can enjoy, that great event who want join to it.

As to the crying that persists in concerns over the cheaters, wake up already. Our world has always had cheaters and there will always be. Luckily there are a few whom attempt to stop the many walking such a shady path. We wouldn’t even have the word “cheater†in every language if it were not so prevalent. From your sunny days in grade school to your experience as an adult there will always be those indulging their darker side. We have to give NCSoft credit for providing an environment that simulates this aspect of human nature perfectly.
I'm happy there has been such success in the curtailing of most of the cheating and I am sure they work towards in even more utopian gaming experience.

1. Cheaters, wanting or not, DO pay for this game. People get onto the bus and sit on places that were supposed to be for the handicapped and yet they STILL pay for that ride.
2. To have a sit on a bus ISN'T why I payed for. I payed for the bus trip and I will get it, unless the bus gets broken or something.

Especially Dracha, which cleverly stated about cheaters. Them exists in life as well. How many people got RICHIER when all US were about to break on the realty bubble they've been thru lately? Many people abuse exploits in all systems we have in life. RPG stands for Role Play Game, which means we all play roles, not only as healers, DDs, tanks, but also as Politicians (Clan Leaders, Castle Owners), Economists (People who work the market, sell high buy low) and, ofc, cheaters.
I think there were an idea of Wedding to be included into L2 no?

In Naia, if you dont count shops, boxes and AFK ppl, you get few hundred people online max. I feel sorry for this game but I still love to play it.
This game was made for 3-5k online players. 1k with tons of boxes just isnt enough :(

Heck, I even gotta concede that Drack made some good points. I may jerk at times, but you guys are the best. A few months ago I was thinking about quitting. I don't think that now - and you guys made that difference.

From the response of some folks here, I guess that praise and "thank you's" are never deserved. From this attitude, I am guessing that if your boss came up to you and said "Thank you. You've done a great job on that project.", or something else along those lines, you'd just say, WTF are you thanking me for? I'm doing my job which you are paying me to do, so lets just leave it at that then shall we...
You keep beating someone when they are down, they are just going to stay down. A bit of praise once in a while (when it is deserved) does wonders (basic staff management 101).
So yes, from someone who's been here for 7 years, the service has sucked quite a bit over that period of time with its ups and downs along the way (Ash was quite good way back when), but the team this past few months have been working hard to improve that situation, and yes, as a paying customer, I do appreciate that effort (as I do appreciate the efforts that people in any service industry give me).
So long story short, thank you Sace and team for a job well done. You've set the bar higher for yourselves, so lets see if you can keep up that level of service and committment.

im english i say ty far too much actually its a habbit with us bit like queues ^^ - ur analogy isnt comparable if my boss thanked me id expect him to show his appreciation in time off or extra money tbh :-) however that is in no way comparable to playing a game where (given the typed word is easy to misinterpret!) this thread just reads like ppl sticking there tongues down the back of trousers based on not much more than some double xp events ? In my head the double xp is no more than a way to let the rest of us catch up with cheats so we will have maybe a vague interest in the update ?
