All servers will be down for maintenance on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 5am PDT / 7am CDT / 8am EDT / 12pm UTC/GMT. Estimated downtime is approximately 4 hours.
With this maintenance:
The login screen is being changed to the High Five part 5 screen; a dead tree and foggy background. The login music remains the same but the login screen's sound effects will change from the rain sound effects of the current screen to the eerie nighttime sound effects of the new screen.
The Rabbit Rampage (http://www.lineage2.com/archive/2011/07/rabbit_rampage.html) event continues. Lure scrolls will no longer drop, but the NPC, event items, and any lure scrolls you have stockpiled before the maintenance will still be usable afterwards.
All characters' vitality will be refilled. A vitality refill will happen with every regular weekly maintenance until the live launch of Goddess of Destruction later this year.
Don't forget, Hero's Treasure Chests from the 7th Anniversary Celebration will be removed on August 17! Be sure to open your Hero's Treasure Chest before then. The items inside will not be removed.
Didnt we have only 2 screens? This would be third, where are the other 2?
This is the 3rd. The first was after High Five was released in February, and it showed a healthy tree in a sun-lit field. The current login screen of the bloody tree was implemented during our 7th Anniversary Celebration at the end of April. Now, we're going to have the 3rd and final High Five login screen.

This only happens if you spam them like hell. Just take your time to wait for BSS activation, it takes less than 0.2 sec and can save your life reducing your cast to the half.
I love killing these Rabbits, can this event be extended forever?
Please don't... I'm glad this event is almost over. Can't see any rampaging rabbits for a long time. Not to mention, gift rewards were so lame. You 'love' the rabbits for hours, get only a few golden apiga's and what's the reward? 2 Gem S... Okay I've had a couple of attr. crystals to (WTS them :D), but that's about it.
And normal apiga's..? After I had 10 stones 3 rabbit ears and some QHP I sold them off - not worth to bother with, while selling them for 25K each is more profitable ;)

Actually the rewards were all about getting lucky. I got an Icarus Weapon box from normal apigas. As for golden, even Gemstone S is useful for weapon SAs. The only worthless thing were Rabbit Ears and even they didn't come all that often (for me anyway!)

In most MMO's I'm lucky (heck, I even got a rare mount in Lord of the Rings online - 3 on the whole server), but when it comes to L2 I'm always out of luck :( You don't wanna know how many times I failed overenchating items and skill (even with 95% chance I fail a lot). And events like this are the same unlucky thing for me.

Talking about luck... I tried to OE a B grade weapon... I failed 7 times.... At +4.... Then I gave up.

Hmmm you're right, I'll see what's going on with that.
EDIT: Apparently the sound file did change. The music in the sound file is the same, but the sound effects of the login screen are different. (In the last one you could hear the rain, now you hear eerie nighttime sounds.) I'll clarify this in the maintenance posts.
Do the login screen changes possably have anything to do with GoD update? Maybe because of this being the final state (3rd & final one) it means GoD is coming very soon. :-) :-p

Considering that we had about 2-3 months on each High Five login screen and considering that GoD will be live in Fall and also considering that Fall is just one and a half month from us now.... Yeah, I guess it's right to assume that GoD is coming on the next 2-3 moths, since these are Fall months... :)
