If you take a look around some locations, you can even find quite a few clans (PvE) whose names mind sound somewhat familiar to you: Camelot, Nocturnus, DarknessReborn, AncientWisdom, Helms...

Theres still alot of Gustin ppl left but there spread out through various clans. I think a good amount of the players exist but the Gustin clans are slowly dissappearing.

Some recognizable people I have seen/talked to so far from Gustin:
Budlight, Numenor, Morter, Dakness, Colina, Wari, Halmar, Devoe, Pojomaster, RobbyCP, Steveh, Bazgat, LordDragon, MysticLance, Myriad/Greenfacekilla, Ttaz, Vargaz, Coolbaby crew, Lightsword crew. Also saw jiggles and Telikose toons sieging.
Lol for some reason I feel like i have a bond with people from Gustin even if i hated them back in the day. I almost defended the Coolbabies the other night.
A lot of the infamous and large clan leaders seem to have moved on unfortunately.
I'm sure there are a lot more out there that have changed names or I haven't run into. Sorry if I have talked with you and left you out.

You would be surprized to know how many times during the last few years random people (whom I could not recognize) pm'ed me and said: "We miss Honor Guardians! Your clan was a legend!"

Wait for GoD, and see if you can find a clan and ask if they can lend you adena or gear until you can level up enough to get Path of Awakening gear. That's my only suggestion I can think of off the top of my head. Asking 'adenaz plz' is fairly lame, but if you can give a reasonable explanation and sell yourself well -- I don't see it as a problem really.
Most old Gustin clans I think would be the most friendly within this premise if you can find 'em but I can't speak for anyone else though, sorry. Most Gustin are pretty hardcore PvP wise, but are otherwise nice guys. Example is a bit back I donated 1K (real life USD) to fund a guy named Panda in HelmsElite if I remember right (I'm a former Solidarity duder) for health reasons (Basically if he didn't get what he needed, he was going to die). Didn't know the guy personally, but he was in my ex-gf's clan and heard about it so offered.
Point being, they're people willing to help out strangers in real life matters -- it's highly unlikely to run into problems in the virtual world, ya know? So don't really worry too much about awkwardness -- just give it a shot and see what happens ya know?

I know how that feels. I have 2 jobs + being a land lord now, lol. Strictly console gaming for me, and that's not even until about 2 am in the morning on a Friday night. I'm going to have to come in and take a peak at this f2p model though.
I got the free to play email and jumped in to check things out too. Looks like there's a new patch coming tomorrow though lol.
Did we dorfs get anything worth coming back for? I logged in for a bit and seen we have buffs now, and golem only takes 10% xp. Seems to be a lot of xp perks too. A vitality system, something called nevitt's blessing.. good stuff.
My favorite time on Gustin was being a noob and learning the game from the ground up. After a 6 year absence, it looks like I'm going to get that experience once again ^_^

I did make a BD last year around this time but only played for about a month to level 62 on Chronos and then quit again until now. So many new things makes the game feel so confusing again.
Seen a fair few kewlaid around, apart from you guys haven't seen many others - especially not CD. I have seen a fair few of that NM bot group, can't remember his name (was the HE who was awful, made movies where he had cp pot spam on a nostromo).

I think one of the leaders in charge, after ghost quit, left and formed a new clan (no clue of the name) and some left to join him. I logged yesterday to check things out and don't really know anyone in Camelot except a couple of people.
Anyone one remember Dragonclaw2? Leader of TheYakuza before i had to take a break from the game and it was reformed to ZeYakuza. Just figured id post here to see if any of the old crew was still around since i was gonna try L2 again.

The game has changed so much I'm really overwhelmed, it'd be nice to have some familiar people to chat with.
I was pleasantly surprised to see EA has a presence on this server. I'm looking for clan/mentor (btw wtf is this mentor ****) to chill with.

I am still here from since 2005, first server I was in Hindemith and now I am in Chronos server. I am still level 55 from since 2009, never had time to play. I logged in 5 months ago, there wasn't much people there and it was lonely, but now its free to play, I think there will be a huge number people now. I am going to enjoy this game so much now!
Such good times... I got lazy with my DA, too boring to grind the tank and I wanted to play other chars too, few of them higher lvls.

Oh how i miss gustin, we had the lowest server population and about 10x the posts on the boards all the time. Of course half of it was gabe but it was still impressive.
Seemed like i was one of the last left over from Gustin till a few weeks ago and now I see them everywhere.
Just want to shout out to past Parabellum, HonorGuardian, ClearlyClueless, and Nova clannies, and all the past frenemies. Swear to God I saw a KewIaid tag and almost PK'd the person out of pure instinct (control was pressed, but caught myself before the attack). Whew! Still pause when I see a Nocturnus or FS tag. Haven't really seen many Camelot, but seeing g4 would raise my eyebrows. Never know who's the same person behind the toon, after all.

Follow up on KewIaid... I ran into Mollyswrath (my old clan leader from Parabellum) last night, and he hooked me and Nastypope (my brother) up with a KewIaid party. Definitely a unique experience as many old wartags poked fun at me. Cool group of guys (and one sweet chicklet). Thanks for the party, it was a blast, even if I'm a recycled nooblet!

I was/am Artuan and played on Gustin since beta.

Just recently logged back into L2 after a very long break to find Artuan stripped totally and my other two toons stripped and renamed to some random junk names. Started levelling a new toon to get Artuan back up and running by transferring dimension gear. hope to meet up with some of you in game.
This name gives me a tremendous sense of revulsion for some reason and I don't know why. I don't even remember what clan he was associated with. All I know is he was a dwarf and killing him brought me great satisfaction.
The only other thing I can remember is he used to pull massive trains in AB, back before C4 nerfed AoE you could hit 20-30 mobs with one spell/swing of the pole (and we tied onions to our belts, which was the style at the time). Back then Exping was fun, you needed nerves of steel, lightning-quick reflexes, and the buffer had to use an egg timer because they didn't show how much time you had left on your buffs (only a 20 second blinking warning) and you didn't want your buffs to run out at an inopportune time. Anyway, that means we had to compete with notkyle for mobs in AB so that might have sparked some kind of feud.
