This post has been raised to find out more information about current subskills inherited by a player throughout their subclass leveling and their future in the G.O.D. update.
Ok let's use an e.g. 85 stormscreamer has 3 subs. 85 stormscreamer has additional buffs from completion of the 3 subs.
Question: What will happen to our sub skills. Will we loose those special buffs in G.O.D. update apart form keeping our subclass ?
Will you be able to inherit subskills from your subs to main in the new G.O.D. update or not ? and if so for a new player that does not have subs what is the process ?
There is talk about people who will need to reroll a subclass in G.O.D. update to get new subskill G.O.D. buffs, is this true ?
I would appreciate if players can add to this post so we can squeeze out as much information about subskills as possible.
I'll tyr to be more specific about your questions, It was mostly for fun about the "Use the search button/function"
You still get subclass certificates with your sub
1 Certificate at level 65
1 Certificate at level 70
1 Certificate at level 75
2 Certificate at level 80
Those certificates are all the same, because all the subskills could be learn whatever is your subclass.
So if you have 3 sub level 80, you have 15 certifs :D
i have another question for u, laby :
imagine i'm 85/80/80/80, i have all subclass skills.
now i delete a subclass before GoD, but i keep sub skills. i'm now 85/80/80/40 with 12 sub skills.
what will happen when GoD will be launched : do i keep the 12 certificats i had or will i have only 8 certificats ?
my issue is that i canceled it few monthes ago... i'd like to know if i have to lvl this new class fast or not.
If Sace could ask to someone who knows the answer, it could be awesome ^^
only the unlocked dual class sub can go beyond lvl 80 and once it is unlocked it will have the same subclass skills as the main..
in GoD chars ultimately will be like this:
awaken main: lvl99 <- can do Oly at 85 once awakened
awaken dual class sub: lvl99 <- can not do Oly
2 subs: lvl 80
Yes it sounds like there are many people in different situations with their subskills and that there is little said about the transformation towards the G.O.D. update.
I"m so confused and I'll tell you why in point form.
* It's said that subskils will be deleted and you will get certificates.
* Once our subskills are deleted and if we do get certificates does that give us a choice to select new subskills for our main in the G.O.D. update ? Or are we saying subskills will not exist for our mains and that only a subclass will exist ?
* There are many players saying that you need to have 1 subclass to lvl 80 to awaken it like our main and it will also have the subskills of your main.
Currently there are many players in a "pause" state with their subs because they don't know if it's truly worth the time and effort to level them to 76 before the god update. They are not sure what will happen. There is a subclass skill that I would like to get but given the unkown status of it existing in the new game ceases me to level the sub class.
So will our current master subskills be replaced with certificates in the G.O.D. update which we can then use on our awaken mains ? or is there a new process which means that you will have to roll new subs to inherit the new mastery sub skills in the G.O.D. update when released regardless if you have already rolled 3 subs in the currnet L2 verison?
I am trying to understand the mechanics of this new process. from my understanding it sounds like:
If you currently have any sub class to lvl 76 you will be able to use that subskill mastery in the new god update with new certificates given to you. But if you do not level a sub class to lvl 80 you will not have a second main class which will can also be using your mains mastery subskills.
Which means it sounds like it's worth continuing to level your subclass in the current version if all you want is the mastery skills and not the second subclass in the G.O.D. update. Or who knows.

The system would be the same as today. You go to the npc, you get your certificates from your sub

Dumb rumor, and already answered: you only need your main class to be 85 to do the Awakening quest
If you do the dual class quest on a subclass after doing the Awakening on your main, this subclass will get the same subclass skills that your main has

Don't complicaate the situation more than it is :) You have your 3 subs done, you are ok and nothing else to do
why ? the new subclass skills sux, even if u pop 12 certificates in to one skill, considering it will stack of course, it still sux. I did my subs only for the celestial, haste and ud and now they gonna be delated ><

I subbed mainly for transformations and they'll be deleted as the same ...
In GoD, your sub classes are still maxed at 80.
Only your main and dual class can level beyond 80.
You get sub class certs at 65,70,75,80.
That makes 12 certs if you have all your subs at 80. Laby said above that you get 2 certs for 80 but I haven't seen that info officially.
