Healers classes & Holy pomanders

PATCH NOTES.

Healers
The quantity of "Holy Pomander" issued to healers who completed the third class transfer has been changed:
Cardinal: 1 -> 7
Eva's Saint: 1 -> 7
Shillien Saint: 4 -> 7
New skills are available for skill transfer after the completion of the third class transfer:
Eva's Saints and Shillien Saints can now learn the following skills to the same level as Cardinals, and healing skills are now upgradable:
Greater Battle Heal Lv. 33 (Upgradable)
Major Heal Lv. 11 (Upgradable)
Resurrection Lv. 9
The "Inquisitor" mode for healers who completed the second class transfer has been removed, instead the magic and weakening skills used while in "Inquisitor" mode can now be acquired and used in normal mode. However, upgraded skills are excluded and must be acquired through skill links.
The three types of "Holy Pomander" items are now destructible.

My question can i choose 3rd class skill ??
like ''Lord of vampire'' or ''Blessing of eva''
There is no change about the list of Link skills you could learn, so no.

(strange idea btw Oo)

Actually, as OP listed, there are changes to the list. Eva and Shillen Saints may have Major Heal, Greater Battle Heal and Ressurection level max now.

But Laby is right, strange thought, but no, you can't get 3rd Class Skills... That would make an OverPowered SE...

It does not matter since you going to get the awakening skills anyway which replace any of the old 3rd class ones.

So the patch notes are wrong. :) (didn't had a SE to confirm the patch notes myself...)
Resurrection Lv. 9

Finally no SE rezzing me for 20%... oh wait, one healer per party in GOD, right?

yeah I guess no one would want 2 healers, unless you want to give the healers Aeore Force buff, which don't makes sense, since Aeore Healers won't use bows and stuff...

But the Aeore Ressurection is 85% and I've read that WIT won't influence on Ressurection anymore, so yes, you got a pretty neat Ressurection until 85 and a Awaken version of it after that...

Patch notes are not wrong, you just read them in a wrong way. The patch notes say that the heal skills will get higher lvl as your character levels up.

Resurrection skills will no longer be affected by WIT. This means that Bishop res will be nerfed back down to 70%.

At lvl 85 (awakening) you will get an 85% rez, 90% at 90, 95% at 95, and 100% at 99.

Humm didn't payed very close attention to new rez, haven't seen that it had levels... good to know ^^
You have to be lvl 99 to have your skill at the power of a consumable. :/
But at least, finally it's possible!

Yes but with summons and pets Aeore healer can damage also now, as far as we don't know yet all about all healers habilities ... we can't prejudge about how powerful we will be

Yeah, that's why I've opened a thread asking for information on Rumi's Light Summon and stuff like that... no one posted to that thread so far... :(

Also, as I looked more into GoD, it seems that, even with Summons, Nukes and Buffs, Aeore is going to primarly Heal and Protect.

GoD seems to be a way to fix the roles: Enchants Gonna Enchant and do decent DD. Tanks aren't DD much but they can take about anything with their defense buffs. Archers are real marksmen and Rogue, true assassin's, both with high evasion and Critical chance and low defense and HP. Summoners are real summoners, calling forth lots of servitors for multiple roles. Wizards are nukers from hell with nice AoE (Finally, TRUE AoE) magic. Warriors are Warriors, true physical DD and Mez.

I guess Healers will have functions more focused: Healing, protecting by invencibility and crowd controling with knockbacks and Dark Attacks, as well as debuffs and Rumi's Light...

as far as your Brez will legs doesn't die in first ....

That will be the primary use of actual BREZ Scroll in GoD :)
Finally no SE rezzing me for 20%... oh wait, one healer per party in GOD, right?

whichever pt is going out of town to pve/pvp with only 1 healer is doomed to begin with ...
Well my worry is more about Mass Rez. Will the Party Rez replace Mass Rez or will we still be able to keep it?
Finally no SE rezzing me for 20%... oh wait, one healer per party in GOD, right?
Korean raid boss parties in videos have 2 healers each.

And with 30-sec reuse of the 85+ Sleep skill, one healer might not be enough for grinding spots with decent respawn rates

Aeore Party Rez will remove Mass Ressureciton.

Source: Google Translated Powerwiki Page (http://bit.ly/rdeuOD)

Aeore Healer Skill - Party Ressurection
Reuse Time: 600 seconds
Removes: Mass Ressurection
Max Skill Level: 3
- Level 89: Revives any dead party members, restoring 80% of the lost experience. | MP Used: 133.
- Level 93: Revives any dead party members, restoring 90% of the lost experience. | MP Used: 145.

The last level seems to have another effect, to "near death" toons, whatever that means.

EDIT: I've looked into some 3 more translators and the best I could come with is:

- Level 96: Revives any dead party member and any alliance member near a dead party member, restoring all experience lost. | MP Used: 152.

IMO, if I got that right, this skill would blow some minds... With one rez, all ally members could get back to fight for just 152 MP...

Any korean speaker could please translate this properly?

사망한 모ë“* 파티원과 주변 사망한 동맹원을 부활시킨다. 추가로 100% 경험치를 복구시킨다

It would work like the actual Sublime Self Sacrifice I guess: it regends party member hp and all non flagged people near you
It would work like the actual Sublime Self Sacrifice I guess: it regends party member hp and all non flagged people near you

Yeah, I guess it's something like that... but it rez instead of regen and it's around the dead party members instead of you... Also, from the translations that I've seen, none implies that the healer would pay HP himself... that wouldn't make any sense to get the last level...

I'll look but I think Sublime Self Sacrifice is getting replaced too...

EDIT: As far as I've seen, most (if not all) Cardinal spell book skills are staying... That means, Sublime Self Sacrifice, Turn to Stone, Enlightment, Magician' Will and such are staying...

I'm overwhelmed by how many Invincible and Cleanse skills Aeore will have at level 99... If you got a good Aeore in your party you won't be dead until his/her MP goes out...

Hi I have a question I havnt seen answeard.

I will finish my 3d class change now and recive 1 pommander, Im a cardinal.
When GoD comes will I get another 6 then?

The reason I ask is that this is my sub, and I will have to lvl it from 80 to 85 in god and would like to know if I will get the rest of the skills then or if I should wait to finish my 3d class change until realease`?

Yepp, every healer class will get pomanders until they have 7 (used + not used) pomanders.

SEs will get additional 3, EE and Cardi will get 6 more once GD arrives.

Wizards are nukers from hell with nice AoE (Finally, TRUE AoE) magic.

What do you mean by that?
That you actually have a target cursor for the area you want to nuke?
What do you mean by that?
That you actually have a target cursor for the area you want to nuke?

That was exactly my point.

You see, AoE, in my opinion, is AREA of effect, not Area around a mob Effect. So it's more precise is you got to choose the AREA of effect, and not a mob around which it should effect...

If you got 2 mobs groups apart, you might want to target your AoE spell in the middle of them, to hit both groups. With Target AoE, this can't be done.

This also opens a window for DPS AoE spells, like a Blizzard or a Meteor Shower in a designed area, instead of bubbles. Many MMORPGs have it and I think they are always cool and interesting... Making the Nuker more than just a rocket launcher, attaching a napalm launcher to it ^^

By the Feoh Video, I understood that you got an Area cursor for the skills. If that didn't made into the Live GD, that would be a shame.

Basically, GoD removes my 90% rez and mass rez and tell me : ok now to have it back you need to level to 90+.
That's interresting.
Basically, GoD removes my 90% rez and mass rez and tell me : ok now to have it back you need to level to 90+.
That's interresting.

Basically, yes. But only when and if you learn it at level 89.

Mass Rez and Rez aren't automagically removed until you learn the skill that's an upgraded version of they.

But, of course, the WIT bonus for Bishop Rez is gone for everybody. I'm guessing it will be hell of easy to get to level 89 tho...

Max level Bishop Rez has 70% Exp (55% for Mass Rez), so I get why the first level has 80%, since WIT won't affect it anymore...

That's interresting.

Bishop rez is 70% now, mass rez is 50%.

You keep those 2 skills until 89 where you lose *only* mass res, and gain a 80% mass res...

BUT rez isn't affected by wit anymore, so in effect rez has been nerfed anyway.
Basically, yes. But only when and if you learn it at level 89.

Remember that awaken classes witll have to deal less efficiency on skills/buffs/debuff from non awaken skills ....

i assume this limitation works also on rez....

anyway, cardi rez will still be more % restore than CH/Castle or transfo rez so there is nothign to complain about

The effects for some skills are indeed less efficient. But, while rez is getting nerfed by the now removed WIT bonus, it still works as intended, just like another skill that's staying, "Prayer".

"Prayer" stacks with another 2 buffs Aeore has that increase heals on target (one of these lasts 15 seconds but still...). It's 12% (non-enchanted value) bonus is still the same for both awaken and non-awaken toons.

Bishop's Single Rez still give 70% lost exp back and, until level 85, when it gets replaced by a 85% Aeore Single Rez, it would still work as intended.

So, all in all, it's not like we lost 90% Rez so Aeroe could bring a new version of it. Rez is getting nerfed, with or w/o Aeore's Rez. So no one would just switch to sub Cardinal, wait 15 seconds, put on WIT gear and Rez for 90%. That will be a privilege only for Main or Dual Healers that go Aeore. :D

Yes.

I complain if I want, ugly elf!
question that i would like to be answered verified by korean trusted info or GM:

i am cardi 85 and 100%.
i log 1st time in GoD and i will have my holy pomander skill chosen (stigma for e.x.) and +6 more new holy pomander.

-my stigma is +15
so i choose my skills and also ench them:
-clarity +10
-Party recall+10
-Bless the blood +10
-resist shock +10
-resist wind +10
-resist dark +10

After that i do my awaking class quest and i will me awakened Aeore healer.

question 1: how will my holy pomander skills be replaced? Will it be immediatly with by completing the quest or while lvling and exchanging skills?

question 2: what will happen with the enchanted skill? Will i take the items for the new giant codexes like my "normal" skills?

very good question u have :D
i wonder myself what wil happen to these skills since most of them gonna be replaced.. or u get a better version of it once u awaken to ur new class...
question 1: how will my holy pomander skills be replaced? Will it be immediatly with by completing the quest or while lvling and exchanging skills?

Hey there. That's actually 2 questions. For the first one, here's what I got:

-my stigma is +15

This isn't removed by anything. You are going to keep it. I can't name any source because I didn't found any site saying "Stigma will stay" but it doesn't appears on any removed skills list, just like "Prayer", which is staying and stacks to other buffs that do the same thing. It's unclear if it remains with its 100% land rate for past 85 mobs.

-clarity +10

This is removed when you learn the skill "Critical of Saha (http://bit.ly/owG6CY)" at level 85.

-Party recall+10

This is removed when you learn the skill "Party Recall (http://bit.ly/nr9HZv)" at level 85.

-Bless the blood +10

This is removed when you learn the skill "Fairy of Life (http://bit.ly/qCCAOr)" at the level 85

-resist shock +10
-resist dark +10

These are removed when you learn the skill "Resistance of Saha (http://bit.ly/qKygbj)" at level 85.

-resist wind +10

This is removed when you learn the skill "Superior Elemental Protection (http://bit.ly/qUWFqA)" at the level 85 (NOTE: This new skill is PASSIVE).

All the ones that are getting replaced (6 out of 7) are being replaced by new skills you acquire at the awakening level, 85.

question 2: what will happen with the enchanted skill? Will i take the items for the new giant codexes like my "normal" skills?

For the skills you lose, you will receive a certain number of "Essence of Giants", based on the level of the enchantment. That Essences may be traded by the new Giant Codexes in order to upgrade your new skills. This is stated here (http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?p=3072876#post3072876).

Hope I helped. Let us know if you want to know something else.

Lux can u explain me plz

if i teake for example ''Party recall''
seems like a good option when i waste 1 polmander for it... but i would be a waste if i learn this skill anyway when i awaken to healer class

or it it going to be like this: i have use a holy pomander for learn ''Party recall'' for a replacement of this skill when i awaken to healer class ?

another example: i would be stupid if i learn ''Clarity'' when i know 100% sure i wil get ''Clarity of Saha'' i better of learning skill wich arent gonna be replaced and not gonna be removed and stacks with everything else

Elven Elder/Shilen Saints wil teake Prayer wich is a good option...
wich good options do i have as bishop???

Well, that's EXACTLY the question I've asked about twice right now, because ALL healers are getting ALL Aeore Skills, so yes, we have 7 pomanders but only about 2 or 3 skills are staying... all the others are getting replaced.

So far I know that "Stigma" and "Prayer" are staying. Besides that I would need to go one by one... At least, with the list our friend DrL provided, we rulled out many skills.

That's because every Aeore gets Party Recall, even if the 3rd Class didn't have it. That's why 1 or 7 pomanders don't make such a difference for people that would be about 80s when GD goes Live.

BTW, Clarity is removed by "Critical of Saha", not "Clarity of Saha" (yepp, it is that strange).

Here (http://bit.ly/neejaV)'s "Clarity of Saha"'s effect:

-Lasts 30 minutes
-Increases Max MP by 20%
-Increases HP recovery rate by 20%
-Increases M.Crit Chance by 20
-Increases P.Crit.Dmg. by 20%
-Increases P.Atk by 10%
-Increases P.Def. by 20%
-Increases Attack Speed by 20%
-Increases Casting Speed by 20%
-Increases M.Def. by 20%
-Increases Debuff Resist by 10%
-Increases Critical Resist by 15%
-Reduces Speed

It's like a Prophecy Buff. It replaces Prophecies of Wind and Water along with Body of Avatar.

The "Clarity of Saha" listed on Cryo's Note is anywhere to be found on the Powerwiki.

~Lux
thanks lux u r da best!

btw:

do u have a list of the skills that will NOT be replaces and we can take with holy pomanders?

question 3: can i refuse to exchange a skill of 3d class from awakened class( talking for Holy pomanders skills)

question 4: making a conclusion, with race skills human healer will be da best!? right? :D
btw: what about getting recharge on healers?
btw: what about getting recharge on healers?

Awesome question..

If healers will be all the same.. and recharger can't recharge a recharger... will we witness the introduction of mana potions(like QHP) or main healer that doesn't learn recharge.. will be acting as "healer" and the rest as recharger?

What a mess.. :|
Summoners maybe act as rechargers for the healers. Not sure if their skills work on healers though. PTS will probably answer this.
thanks lux u r da best!

Np, I do what I can with the knowledge I can get. Sometimes wrong, sometimes right, but always trying to help. :)

do u have a list of the skills that will NOT be replaces and we can take with holy pomanders?

I'm assuming that there's no big changes in the Pomander Skill's List. If that's right, only "Prayer" and "Stigma" are staying from that list.

question 3: can i refuse to exchange a skill of 3d class from awakened class( talking for Holy pomanders skills)

Besides the skills that are removed when you awake right away (which I don't actually know but I'm thinking on the 1st class skills), you can choose to keep your old skills, but for that you must not get the Awakened version of it and why would you do that?

It's not like "Shock" would land on a Awakened toon. They will be open to the new Mezmerizes, so I guess that the old de-buffs won't work.

Elemental System is getting revamped for Awakened toons, so this is one of the things that we must test on the PTS.

Still the new skills are pretty way better than the old ones.

question 4: making a conclusion, with race skills human healer will be da best!? right? :D

Ahnnn, actually no. You see, Humans are the most balanced race and their Race Stats + Skills makes them all more resistant. But taking on mind that the best healer is the one that heals faster, the casting speed bonus the Light Elves are getting + their OP WIT Stat makes them the "best" healers.

Of course, this is actually bound to the situation itself, so it might depends. But overall, what I said would be the truth.

btw: what about getting recharge on healers?

No recharge skills descriptions from Aeore say that you can't recharge a recharger. I'm confused by this as well, since no korean player answered that in these forums. Maybe I'll look on Rochand, but if even Ykara (that is pretty much connected to Rochand), I'm guessing I won't find this answer there either.

If rechargers can recharge rechargers but themselves (hummm too much "r" in that...), this will make a party with 2 Aeore unstoppable.

~Lux
From Rochand:

Healer will not be able to recharger second healer. Even as it does not have bought into this skill, the only person who can restore mp will be summoner but it is unnecessary because from what I remember the tree of life recharger mp. will not distinguish between the main and second healer to heal because new and renewal to the CP and HP are able to do must be full.

From what I saw in moives: You or your enemy is dead before u have to start thinking about mana =)
Also healer get party sublime with 10min reuse.

Also.. this just in:
Ru PTS fixed now, lvl 85, 1.3B adena, R grade gear, cats.
From Rochand:

Thanks, man. That should clarify that question. So we are free to get the recharge since we can't get recharged by healers.

Also.. this just in:

Cats? So they all log in the game with a bunch of Kittens in their inventory? Nice! O.O

~Lux
Cats.. you are new to game.. you'll see when PTS comes out.. :)

Cats are shops/clan traders/A kind of GM Shop for Adena.. :P

My GoD client use 1.5GB ram after 30min~

I'm doomed.. :/
Cats are shops/clan traders/A kind of GM Shop for Adena.. :P

Don't worry, Cats were famous in some other places. Them even changed your class for free!

I said that for the joke itself! As I would like to open my bag and find a bunch of kittens there! :D

Thank God I got a new computer just to play GD!! O.O

~Lux
That's why i asked if i can refuse to exchange an 3d class skill for a 4th class.
i wanna keep bless the blood , and do not obtain the new recharge.
Then i guess, i can get recharged ^^

I can't find what is happening with my imba turn undead!
:D

:D

"Fairy of Life (http://bit.ly/qCCAOr)" is way better than "Blessed Blood", it has the same effect + heals HP when cast and lasts one minute.

As for the recharge, me and my clannies and allies were thinking on that and we guess Summoner will be able to recharge the healers and we are likely to have one in party. I think no Aeore will be able to be recharged by another Aeore but that is just me, nothing official.

Turn Undead, if it isn't removed at the Awakening, will not be removed... Still, probably the chance of landing "Fear" or "Lethal Strike" might be very lowered for level 85+ mobs...

~Lux
Anyone here from RUSSIAN PTS OFF?
In case you have time please test these:

1) turn undead +1 attack (and more) land rate on undead mobs 85+
2) turn undead will still have spirit ore cost per use?
3) Do NOT learn the new recharge skill! and ask from other healer to recharge you.
4) how much mp you gain per recharge from healers (if available) , and from summoners (if available)

thx

p.s: i cant w8 xD
I think ultimately you will always choose the awakened skills over your old ones... because the difference in power will be too great.

As mentioned, mana will not really be a problem in PvE...

So dex wont affect runspeed any more, but we know for sure that WIT still gives castspeed?

Either way, while casting speed is good to have, how big is the difference REALLY between a human and a light elf gonna be?

If a human is better at taking the hits than a light elf, perhaps that will help more than being able to heal a few milliseconds faster?

I dont know about the rest, but the cardinal pvp movies I've seen they get a lot of focused fire on them. I don't see why that would change.
WIT still affects casting speed and elves have a racial bonus too. The racial speed bonus when not engaged in combat is also very useful for healers.

When focused by the opponent, there's no difference of survivability between BP and EE. That's the goal of a focused attack. If you have the time to place Celestial Shield or Turn to Stone, it wasn't that focused.

If you think defense is more important than casting speed, then make an orc healer. Humans are versatile that's nice but one can say they aren't good at anything particular.

I cant understand how you nice people would think summoners could be the "new rechargers". The new class changes are so obvious, no idea why you dont get them:

1) Pomanders are given to chars for when they are 85-. If you are not awakened yet, like when you are SE/EE/CARDI, you can use pomanders and take the skills. The only difference is that they are changing the QUANTITY, and not the SYSTEM.

2) Dinged 85, all healer classes gonna be able to both recharge and heal, there is no such thing as "choosing" skills, this is pretty obvious.
Recharges are probably continue the same: if you are a healer you cant recharge another healer. Is this going to be a problem? I dont think so. Status is being changed, and that only will make the biggest difference. New armor sets, new items (like the Istina stuff, I think one of them give MP regen), reuse on invocation shorter, lvling kookaburra higher, a little change here, a little change there, and everything is going to be fine with your MP.

You're all hereby summoned to add you welcome speculations to this thread!
Hey hey, harsh there...

Please Elwira, refrain from posting stuff like calling people silly for questioning...

Some people didn't understand what's going to happen or wanted close details.

If you think you have better answers, just give them right away and hope people get they right.

The only thing dumb in here is calling everyone dumb for questioning and speculating. People are excited about the update, let us talk about it and try to understand.

Gosh, it has been so hard to find a decent thread that don't derail into fights and discuss a matter with facts instead, and then, out of thin air, comes someone to say people are silly and their speculations are dumb...

Let me see...

Now stop with dumb speculations.

To stop the speculations, can you provide the details about the little change here and the little change there?
There!

4) how much mp you gain per recharge from healers (if available) , and from summoners (if available)

thx

p.s: i cant w8 xD

lf verified answers. anyone did test it in RUS OFF PTS?
please keep this post clean, without trolling.

Someone had asked about Turn Undead earlier. I made an EE and Awakened her, then discovered that Turn Undead was auto-unlearned. It probably wasn't going to do anything, anyway.

For people debating over which Healer is going to be best (little early for that, I know), I compared DE and LE Healers with same equipment and dyes (WIT only). LE had just under 100 more cast speed on self buffs + enchanter buff potions with the admittedly worthless low R set, acumen weapon, and +5 WIT dyes (something like 937 vs. 1033) and about 700 less M.Atk than DE (~3900 vs. ~4600). Unless I'm reading the stat display incorrectly, LE has a miniscule (1 pt) advantage in both M.Crit Power and M. Evasion, and 17 point advantage in M.Crit Rate (163 vs. 180). Surprised about the M.Crit Dmg, as I thought DE surely had more. Again, maybe I'm reading it wrong?

Some vital Healer skills have virtually no cast time to begin with, so I don't think I'm going to get too hung up on the cast speed difference, especially once we gain access to the Frantic Healing toggle (+50% cast speed at max lvl with extra MP cost to skills).

I don't think the difference in stats between races will be much of a factor in GoD. I think the racial skills will be the deciding factor.

Elves will have faster non-combat running speed....etc.
Many thanks DrL!

That clarify some things that I've been confused about.

Taking that numbers into consideration, I'm now guessing that Human Aeores would be better. If their Casting Speed falls in the middle of that range and so does their M.Crit Chance and DMG and M.Atk, their higher Resists would make the difference, including the self and free cleanse they'll have...

Anyone here knows if there's some website where we can see which skills are being Auto-Unlearned by all classes prior awakening to it's correct Archetype?

I'd like to know if the speed bonus for elves stays when not engaged in combat (you don't see the combat stance animation) and healing while flagged/not flagged.

AFAIK, the Speed bonus only works while you are not in combat stance. So I guess it's only bound to the Flag "In Combat / In Peace"...

By that I mean that it should keep on working while the LE doesn't cast De-buffs or make either a physical or magical attack or is attacked...

Since healing solely doesn't trigger Combat Stance, I guess they keep the speed on...

Basically, I'm thinking the bonus applies using the same rule and mechanic that make Kookas recharge... So, if Kooka is recharging, that means you wouldn't be getting the LE Speed Passive Bonus on that time.

on human awakened healer , what subclass skills should i choose?
i think c.speed x2 + ??
(so i can balance the elf's c. speed)

The impression I got so far is that most magic skills are quite fast to cast, so casting speed might not be an issue. This can only be answered surely by testing during PTS.

ChildOfHeaven has in the meantime put it the other way round. Here are the skills that each class keeps after Awakening and which can be traded in for new skills or kept at will. If it's not listed there, it is auto-unlearned:
http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/l2_friend/article?mid=25897&prev=25985&next=25861&l=f&fid=148

For people who are not familiar with the Chinese skill names, the Toushijing version might be easier to use:
http://gametsg.techbang.com.tw/lineage2/index.php?view=article&articleid=328185
Just click on the blue links and identify the skill by its icon, learning level etc.

ChildOfHeaven is adding the missing classes as she finds the time :)

=D I almost forgot about that site XD now I can read all about it withouth needing to search for bits and pieces here and there :P
Thank you very much, Yidao!

Too bad I can't open website whose URL has the word "blog" or "game" on it while at work...

But I'll check this when I get home.

For everyone concerned about slow cast speed on healers other than Elf - here is a Dark Elf Healer that I caught randomly dueling a clannie - look at his insane healing :)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nwu0cBR2ynA
I dun actually see any chance of anyone beating a healer unless:
- they get 1 shotted
- silenced or perma disabled

Both solution requires some imba-ness from the opponent, i.e. not a viable solution.

I think they should change healing to HoT to make PvPing against healers remotely possible :O
- silenced or perma disabled

Although Silence is mentioned in patch notes, I have not been able to find a relevant class skill on awakened characters. Anyone had better luck?
