GoD question

i know there is a GoD forum section already but i have a question...what is Lineage 2: Goddess of Destruction doing going to do to bring in new players? i see the videos and game play and i get excited but when i log in and make my character...i get overwhelmed with boredom simply because there is no one willing to help a new player so i get stuck and the starting player experience is horrible. It might have worked back in 2004 but not now....I think they need to revamp the Starting experience. Sort of Guide players to about lvl 20. help them get a good feel for the game and comfortable with the control scheme and how things work...thats just my though....and if it happens i will def be a subscriber to this game...
"endgame" is the key word.
the tutorial already guides you to level 20. and if i remember correctly, it takes no more than 2-3 hours.

in GoD i think i read that all new characters start at talking island, so that's a plus. and since talking island will be the main place for new and high lvl players, the game wont seem like a ghost town for new characters.
Well.. GoD.. Good old Death of L2..
Indeed, the newbie experience is much revamped in Goddess of Destruction. All new players will start in Talking Island Village (http://www.lineage2.com/gd/zones.html#talking-island), regardless of character race, and there are also new tutorials that teach you how to play as well as help you level up to 20 (your first class transfer) quickly, get Adena, and starter gear.

Also, there is already a guide for new players for the current game version: levels 1-24 in a few hours (http://www.lineage2.com/guide/newbie_quest_guide.html).

Moving this thread to the GD section.
i just think that adding all this endgame is fine because L2 has vet players who deserve it. but i just dont see new players jumping in....i mean getting all excited about GoD and then logging in and not being able to even see that stuff for a few months to a year. ew.. lol. im glad they are moving every one to talking island that should be a nice change.
The leveling is now really easy, and supposedly may get even easier in GoD. Combined starting area will definitely help get you going, but what really will help truly new players is if the new item drop chance can allow people to equip themselves properly.

I love L2 but in my eyes there is something seriously wrong with wearing gear 2 grades below you simply because you can't afford better. Which reminds me, will there be S or R grade common gear in GoD?
You get a lot of equipment via quests, like for example the Ring of Insolence I mentioned above.

The Bound Items in GoD will be what Common Items are now as far as the Crystal Count is concerned, but since you can overenchant them and put an Attribute on, they are actually better :)
Oh ya the whole unidentified item thing. I looked at those sites but the translated pages are so fragmented that it's hard to understand what the heck they are saying.
