Typo in Newsletter

For your information, there was a small typo in the newsletter that was sent out today.

The newsletter topic about the Treasure Hunt event says: "from September 27, 2011 through October 5, 2011."

Correct dates for the Treasure Hunt event are September 21 to October 5.

Since the event began today, as scheduled, it's obvious this is just a typo, but I'm posting this in case anyone wants the reassurance. :)

release date for goddess of destruction has been listed as Fall 2011, but it is supposed to be Fall 2012... we're sorry for the inconvenience.

i think if it's a news letter thing, maybe it should be sent via email?

If we were to send an email to the thousands of newsletter recipients, we may as well send a whole new newsletter with that small correction in it. For now, as it is a very minor and obviously wrong typo (since the event is already live), we're simply posting a notification.

yeah, that's cool, i figured it was moot since the event did technically happen during that time frame... it just happened to also happen this week.

although, i do feel bad for anyone who does not get the message since the sacks will nolonger be regular drops for the newsletter week.

I figure that readers will click on the link to the event page regardless of the dates in the newsletter. The correct event dates are on the event page in multiple places; hopefully that will quell any confusion.

Also, I find it silly that the typo ended up being the 27th-- that isn't even a maintenance day! I suppose in some fonts a 1 and a 7 look similar. Maybe readers will misread the newsletter and think it's the 21st after all. :D
