Help preserve the history of Lineage II in the Aden Archives Contest! With the changes coming in Goddess of Destruction, some of the zones will be given a new look and a new purpose. In this contest, write about and take screenshots of one of the changing zones so that it will live on throughout time!
Sace you know I <3 you, but the prizes for this are kinda lulz. I guess the plushie will entice the 13 year old girls and the LARPAs (read 40 year old men who drive their vans near school zones), but I doubt most people will invest the time given the prizes. I'm not trying to knock you, since I know you try to get us some cool events/contests, but I had to throw my 2 cents in there.
I'm afraid we don't currently have a legal contract with any South American countries that would allow us to associate with residents there in a contest. Perhaps in the future, but I don't know of any plans for that at the moment.
PS, to address some comments raised in some other threads: Today is October 4th; the Aden Archives Contest is not the news that we'll be posting on October 5th. :p

even though technically it's already the 5th, i think they mean following maintenance.
this event has been announced before october 5th.
therefore it is not the big announcement that has been foretold.
however, to avoid confusion, maybe they should have announced this event sooner?
i'm actually a little disappointed in the players who are so up in arms about this aden archives event.
if you don't want to participate, don't.
it isn't mandatory, and you don't have to see people all over the place hunting rabbits.

I don't think this is a "money making" event so complaining about the prizes is...meh. It is rather a "nostalgia" event of places that will drastically change and never be the same again.
I will participate just for the heck of it. Exping my subs is already boirng me tooo much...
event is lame towards people from non english countrys not every1 in world speaks perfect english and thats what ncsoft demands from people taking a part in this event..

Heck, Sace will probably do the initial reading of the submissions while curled up on her couch at home and then when she narrows it down to the top five or so, she'll have others take 10-15 minutes out of their day to read them and vote.

I almost forgot the resources used that have absolutely everything to do with GoD, bot, cheat detection and bugs to code the website for this and then what will be needed to post who won!!!

Did you ever stop to think that in a corporation like this there are people (resources) who work there that have absolutely nothing to do with development, game maintenance, bug fix, QA or really anything at all with the game?
It's not uncommon to have administrative assistants, receptionists and others outside the scope of a company's big projects to handle tasks like this. These folks typically don't have the ability to work on those higher priority things.

i don't agree with the rewards, a 15$ elpy is too low prize for the winner of each zone. it's not just the 15$ but an elpy ??? an antharas or valakas something would be much better

Agreed! People are so mean, most of these events are awesome! If you dont like it dont play - more rewards for me to win ^^
The point is: I WANT to play on it! But I CAN'T! Just because my country didn't talk with NC West prior!
That kind of Laws are stupid IMO... There are much important things to do with laws and they keep doing laws to keep each nation apart from each other...

have a clannie submit your work, if they win, then they could give you the ingame reward, and maybe mail you the Elpy...

You can open any paint program at all (even Windows paint) and use Save As to change an image from BMP to JPG.
Or, you can change how your screenshots are saved from in-game: System Menu > Options > Audio/System tab: set "Screenshot" to High instead of Bitmap.
