They have 3 mil subscribers and about 60k active ppl in 13 servers allmost all time.So cant see your point,what is bad thing?

So same things are here,btw this is primary reason to quit game 3 years ago.Do not get me wrong i`m not defending Ru off,but i saw many ppl to get banned there couse cheat program.While played on EU/US servers did not hear or saw any of known cheaters to be banned.
Krissa 15 usd per month dont think is a reason,even kids can get it easy,couse may be 70% of ppl there are with premium accounts.
I think there is a good chance l2 will be going free to play with cash shop.
When they first announced GoD they said "in all of lineage 2's pay to play history;" they have never mentioned this before. Also you will be limited to 5 vitality regaining items a week with the new update, leaving one to wonder if you will be able to purchase these from an NC store.
Personally I think they should half the cost and put in cash shop. If the game does go free to play we will have those problems Laby, but we had those problems anyway back when we were 12 servers (was it 12 or was it 10? 8? its been so long) strong too.

the only diff is that they have 10+ servers and a lot of ppl online every day
we have 2 servers and naia+chronos cannot reach online of one russion server in prime time

Well, anyone joining now for free missed the golden years so to speak, so there's that. Not to say there's not good times to come.
If anything, I'd think the game going F2P could potentially allow the NCWest team to action botters/exploiters etc. more willy-nilly. I'm probably wrong though.

Frankly this would've been better then any PTS/Live announcement :D
If they cant manage it after GoD live (and i dont mean the first 1-2 weeks till programms get adjusted) then L2 will be 1 server or dead anyway.

of coz F2P = strong anti bot policy... free bot take char slot + bandwitch and never buy premium items etc. so it is waste of hardware resource etc. if they ban bot/cheater - they lose NOTHING... Here cheater = 15 bucks monthly (add to that servers working at max 50%) so u know why here it is different situation.
RU L2 have better tools that lolGG blocking so many normal programs but allows zR and other ****... :/

Ebay is not at all at the same level here and on Russian server
Cheat and glitches ? May be there is one exploit per year, and people get banned easily here. Want to check the number of glitches/cheat on RUOff ? Good luck I stoped counting those.

First 85 lvl toons with +15/30 ALL skills, ALL protection books learned and weapon +12 or higher while they we not even in server enough books and items to make all that even if with some miracle they did had the adena to buy them.
