Wanna start a poll to see who will quit L2 if NC fails to ban known programms after GoD live.
[pls also tell how many Accounts you will close then (so we can see the "real" loss of accounts)]
first of all your poll is useless since the majority of l2 players dont post/check l2 board(too much censor,is like forum for 10 years old kids)
voted no bcuz i love to pwn ppl that use programs(the feeling is even better than wining normal ppl)
voted no bcuz l2 retail is not only about that..is about quality of the game,server down 1 time per week,updates etc
when i wll quit nc have to shut down the servers since i pay 6+ acc:)))...ofc many of them wont be needed in GoD

WHere do u see bots? in pvp? these will always be. nothing to do with it. no matter what defence system server use.
almost all pve bots were banned and being banned since august 2010, so its just weird for me why some ppl still qq about it...
you can tell - just look at <char name>, he is botting for weeks/month/months and nothing happend.
yes but its an exclusion., just compare with situation before - when you could just download some famous program and bot free, lol. and dont care about petitions, and other ppl crying around too, 90% spots taken by bots, i remember a couldnt make a 3rd cls quest in varka - all was taken by bots, so i choose ketra, there were few little spots for me.. etc

For pve bots,where did you see any to get annoyed?And if you see any,make the old fashion way of train them to die.(actuelly,if you see any game will have people back,so dont kill them,let server get full and after start hunting them).
For pvp bots,if developers keep giving extra-terrestial skills to daggers/tanks ect,pvp programs will continue to exist.As i said many times,its the total fail of devs that caused the need of pvp programs as it was the total fail of xp (x1 rates,no vitality system)and the luck of adena that caused the need of bot programs.
My reason to quit god is to see again fail skills ''hide'' type and lack of players.
I played this game with bots all the time and people using Radar and gotten used to it. I will not quit when cheaters keep on cheating in L2.
And if you are holding your hopes up that for some reason GoD will contain some miracle code that will make so that the softwares don't work you might as well quit now.
BB from me too if the pvp isue wont get solved.
As for pve bots. I dont care too much (tho wont take long till we pvping ppl that are few lvls ahead due 24/7 with better gear, again).

I play this game for the pvp, but it aint fun right now.
My last hope is that NC will finally get something working against them (what they are working 1+ year now as they stated at merge) with GoD launch + player recruiting.

Oh I agree with you but I think there is no point hoping for this to happen, but if it would happen I be glad to eat my words :)
Anyway, quitting because of bots is like leaving your work because someone get more payment than you for doing the same thing: It's odd, makes you nervous, it's unfair and it will always exist...
The game is bigger than that... The lore, the graphics and many things more overrule the bots by a very fair amount, as they are common place on any MMORPG.

Pve bots are not many nowdays so no problem there.
As for pvp why should anyone get ****** or angry losing to a bot? (ok you will get nervous for some sec) yet if you think again you lost to a PROGRAM and not a player.
It is not possible for a human to react as fast as the program and even if you could the client has restriction that a player must obey and a program does not.
If bots were eliminated more players would come to l2 yet i aint quiting cause of them
Dreamer, they have zero jurisdiction in Russia where the pvp progs are made and the amount of money involved means they will keep updating them.. as long as the mentality of winning at all cost exist this will not change..
the only thing NC can do is what they have done for a whole whopping 2 TW/Sieges only is manually check during mass pvp events like TW/Siege/Baium/Anthy spawns for such users.. check my comment on this on l2guru..
honestly I don't get it why GM's stopped doing that after 2 TW/Sieges.. even now that's a question they refuse to answer on official like what the hell are they afraid of.. if all clans are equally at risk for temp ban for prog usage the real pr0 players will make the difference and those will keep play the game regardless of what anywayz..
dunno why quit...if they will use programs and risk ban ...i dont need programs to have fun and make some points in pvp..its harder to kill program pt but i try it every time if i die its still just game :)

Side note: Threads upon threads of players stating there would be more players once NCSoft got rid of PVE bots. As we all know millions did not join up once the PVE bot problem was addressed. Back then many said they would quit if NCSoft didn't get rid of the bots, here we are with the same threats yet again. If you don't like it here just leave and stop with all the threats... just go already.

its been like 6 years since I play this game and it has been bots all the way, I am already used to it, bots or no bots is the same for me to be honest
is smt wrong with us..we every day cry bcuz they do nothing vs bots but when we are asked if we quit if they dont do smt vs bots,we answer NO

Actually, inside the minds of people who act like that, the complaining is just because it is.
You see, people's mind is ready to argue and complain for about anything. It's not just my opinion, there are psychological studies on this. We find it easier to say "Hey, change this and that because I'm not liking it!" then "Thank you very much for what you have done well and please try to do better on what you didn't".
Our brain finds easier to brag than to thank, that's just being human. Most people say they won't leave because, in fact, being NC Soft a good or a bad company, they still like the game. They wish it was better and they can't see what they might have been through to get to 7 years with NA L2, but, while they are logged in, they have pleasure while playing and usually don't remember NC West, and, when they do, the pleasure is bigger than that.
This is referred as an "addiction" in some books, though the word has a bad meaning in the streets and common culture.
When the bad feeling overcome the pleasure or when the pleasure is hindered for you have played too much (like an "overdose"), then you can use your so called "logic" and begin to think on leaving...
Of course, emotional and mathematical logic are different and not quite opposite.
