Hello :) I have rejoined L2 as the title mentioned.
I'm on Chronos, I have a 48 SE and 44 PS on this account (Is not my original account from Prelude, I played on Kain).
I've always loved AW and have always wanted an OL.
The issue is, as the game has become, a lot of solo play takes place when I have time to log in.
I wouldn't mind a Dagger Class, am considering a Bow Class (PR) and am currently raising a Shaman to possible be OL or WC (can't decide which would be best for me).
Such is the question...
-I have a summoner who is in full C grade which is tempting to take the easy route.
-I have no low level Dark Elven fighters to transition into either bow or dagger.
-I have a level 17 Orc Mystic atm.
I'm trying to decide which class and what the pros / cons would be with either decision I make.
Would an OL be useless later? Are they hard to level?
Would going with the summoner be viable for PvP or at the least solo PvE player late game?
Would a Dagger Class be nearly as fun in the Prelude-C3 days?
Or should I just level a Bow Class for quick solo and decent PvP play?
I understand that my post may be TL;DR type material but any advice and help is very much appreciated. As well, any ties to a clan // small group of gamers would be amazing to have after having you read this post.

Level 1-20 is about 40 minutes if you follow the instructions from the newbie guide. 20- 40 is a couple of 2 hour days of gameplay so .. not having a delf fighter is no biggie.
Daggers have pretty much come full circle, they are as strong as they were back in C2-C3. Archers are weaker, their hayday was C5-Kamael and it's gone now. Summoners are *the best* solo PVE characters BUT they can be kinda boring to play. And they kinda blow in mass pvp.
Downside to daggers is everybody and their aunt plays a dagger these days so ... they are hardly sought after toons for clans etc. Unless they are uber geared.
If you plan to wing it solo I 'd go dagger out of the choices you presented
That you have a toon in C grade is no longer any sort of consideration. 1-20 takes 45 minutes and then like 1/2 hour for the class change. Lvl 40 is achievable in 3 hours total for people that can raid, but since you're coming back, I'd say 2-3 days max for you to go 1-40.
Play w/e you're really going to enjoy. Some classes are never going to get parties (PR for instance), so for those you need to have a support box leveling with you. Either way, leveling is much easier now.
Archers at 82 make a good deal of adena, daily. Play the archer with a dagger till higher levels, the vr effect will save you I found the leveling easier that way(I have,85 wc 85 archer).
WC would be the best, especially if you had it on an account opposite of your archer.
Your WC at 85 will combine(so will each of these classes) WC OL BD SWS Prophet, but the buffs in the mean time are helpfull. Groups for those classes until 60s can be hard I think, hopefully more input from others on that. Thats why I boxed one, no parties until predator3 or even cov.
