As you know in Goddess of Destruction the Olympiad is only available to Awakened characters (characters level 85+ who have gone through their 4th class transfer to become an Awakened class). Normally, before launching an update that modifies the Olympiad system, the system is turned off so that there is no conflict between the before-and-after changes. For this launch preparation we are doing something different: during November 2011, Olympiad remains turned on so that players can partake from its basic benefits, however Hero status will not be calculated.
The only major Olympiad change happening during November is that Hero status will not be calculated. All the other functions of Olympiad will continue: players may still compete in the Olympiad, do the daily quests, receive and spend tokens as normal, and so on. The last Heroes before Goddess of Destruction launches will be the players that earned Hero status from the month of October. More details about when the Olympiad Heroes will be turned back on will be provided closer to launch.

Turn brains on! If it will be no hero in Dec but hero on Nov it mean that GoD will be installed in Dec and not in Nov. So GoD coming for our servers in 1+ month from now.
In month when GoD will be installed can't be any hero coz 34 hero --> 8 hero.

Ofcourse not. They will turn off the final part of oly, the calculation of hero's. Is basicly a simple SQL query calculating the points and adding a true or false to character database. The bonus is calculated after this step on they 1st day of new month when you can pick up your tokens.
I think as Hero Status as of a field in Server Settings, filled with the ID of the Character who is hero for each class... Don't know, I think this is the better way but w/e...

Let me share my understandings... November's Oly won't have Heroes calculated, so GoD is schedule to hit the servers on a No-Hero month. Our next month like that is December.
PC Commendation event runs until Nov 9th and NC Interactive is keeping players online (AFK or not) until then.
The deadline is the end of Fall: December 21st. If GoD is to hit the servers by then, until November 21st the new payment system must be announced or an amendment into the EULA must be made, or else the EULA would be broken by NC Interactive.
Long story short: PTS is around the corner but shouldn't be live prior than November 9th, due to the events (unless NC Soft Korea or some head up there pushes what's left of the team). GoD won't go Live before the current Hero Status expire in December 1st and wouldn't be after December 21st, when Winter begins...
PTS is probably running at least 2 weeks this time, so it should take long from now...
Thanks for the heads up... I can't refrain from saying that this should have been told earlier to keep people at bay, but I guess you people just settled this up in anyway.

It's not like it's some major thing they have to do to close down hero calculation. The point is, the tokens you get for becoming hero are added after becoming hero. So mostlikely, even if you become hero by being #1 rank, you won't get the additional tokens for becoming one.

What you wrote would mean that noone recieve any tokens at the end of oly moth, so even doin 15 matches for the 20k tokens would be very pointless for anyone.
Not sure how NC gonna do it but I think they will just remove "become hero" button or function to avoid having several heros in same GoD-classes. "hero tokens" you got for 1st place on class list, not for taking hero, so I belive that you will get it.
But tbh dont see big value of tokens. In GoD you need just 220k tokens for top-R set + top-R weapon. But to 220k tokens you need to add 3.5kk of fame +240kk adena. Even with 10x fame receiving, 3.5kk - it's too much (it's like 350k of fame atm). Btw new mastery codex cost little more than full top-R set + top-R weapon (230k, 3.7kk, 250kk)
So I'm not sure what can be use of tokens. Exchange 1:1 for fame ?)))

Sadly their is no change on TW System. TW should be removed or badly redesigned because at this stage it does not make sense. It's just zerg vs zerg trying to take some flags. I haven't seen flags move away from SH for months now on Naia. 95% of the people participate in TW by killing in arena. While the general idea behind TW was to fight for control over an area, mostlikely matching your castle's one. Hence the reason why you need castle+flag of castle to raise clan to 11. And this brings me too this biggest failure of the TW design. No clan can reach lv11 thanks to zerg holding all flags and no possibility of them being moved. So all clans stuck on 10, unless they all reach lv11 before server merges.
Not true we did lose them wards a few times and even had some spectaculair under water fights for them as X took them near the Oly island, this idea got later duplicated on chronos :)
For us losing the wards just means we got some nice pvp to look forward to next TW and no that doesn't mean we would just give them away..
these things tends to go in cycles, a few TW without serious fights means less motivation for ppl to show up to defend which results in the occasional losing of ze wards which again results in high online for mass pvp next TW etc. etc.
btw in GoD or Harmony update Sieges gets redesigned so it's possible things will change significantly..

"30k, 40k, 55k, 75k, 100k" I would assume maybe, if GD is not released until Dec... but I believe NC may be trying to push it to before the month's end.

Actually I started the game back in closed beta, but took some time off for more important things, but it's good to see the maturity level of the forum hasn't changed at all.
I just think it's kinda lame to make such a drastic change after all this time, but as with any change done in the game, I will just roll with it.
