Some of you may have noticed some new red names in the "viewing forums" list at the bottom of the page. We do indeed have some new community staff that we'd like to introduce you to.
As we ramp up to the launch of Goddess of Destruction and the new business model that will create a large influx of new players, we have brought on some additional forum staff who will be with us for the next few months.
Please meet Necro_Prince and Lin2Moderator. Lin2Moderator, as the name suggests, will be moderating the forums. Necro_Prince will be speaking to you directly: making announcements, managing player discussions, answering questions, and generally be the voice of NCsoft on the forums for now.
During this time, myself and Moderator1 are tasked with backend work that is closely involved with the upcoming launch of Goddess of Destruction. I will not be on the forums much during the next months, so please direct questions and concerns to Necro_Prince.
Please give our new forum staff a warm welcome! :)
I'm really excited to be here with you over the coming weeks as we prepare for the launch of the biggest, most ambitious launch yet in Lineage II! As mentioned by Sace I will be around assisting with forum moderation as well as making announcements leading up to the release Goddess of Destruction. I'll be peeking into conversations from time to time to see how things are going for you.
If you have any questions or concerns please forward those to me.
I think you may already know from all the stalking you people have been doing, but the community is really messed up with all the stuff that has been happening around.
Sace was the front woman NCI had in this and got too much pitchforks and torches thrown at her. You shouldn't expect less, as now you will be the front man (assuming that because of "Prince").
I am Lux and, although a new player (5 months only) I stick around a lot and try to help people as much as I can. Many forum users do that too and I believe we will try our very best to ease your job. Still, most of us are sincere (Yes, Smittie, I am looking at you :))
All in all, I praise you congratulations on your new job and wish you LOTS and LOTS of patience. Dealing with people is hard, dealing with a community of gamers, most of them older than 30s or even 40s, is nearly impossible.
Good Luck!
@ Sace
Thank you for your good work and the skill to hold on. I know that many things that we didn't like wasn't your fault and I pray that many people see this.

Welcome and good luck!
LF info about your experience on l2.
PS. I have a good advice for you. Don't ever use words like "soon" to us :)
the only question that matters is Will ncsoft take a real action against pvp bots?...im looking for an answer on the point not again some astral answer..."we will do smt"
You wouldn't know me under another name. I'm relatively new to the world of Lineage II so I have a good perspective of the questions newcomers are going to have coming into the game in light of all the new announcements.
Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'll classify "soon" as a four-letter word. ;)

Hey, thanks for the clarification ^^ Take a cookie, and stay with us :)

Is this NcSpeak for you're leaving? Because in the past, any CM that says they won't be around much for a while= quit/laid off/etc. I hope not, but if it's the case, then take care :(

Don't worry, I'm not leaving-- especially not when it's getting so exciting! :) My duties are evolving somewhat so I'll be working on other Lineage II projects for a while. Also, I'll still be contributing information to Necro_Prince to post on the forums, although you'll mostly see his posts instead of mine.

We'll miss you Sace. You are absolutely fantastic here! Necro has some big shoes to fill.
It does sound like a promotion for you, which is great news. I'm glad it's not just us who recognize all the hard work and dedication. After over 7-1/2 years - you're definitely the best of the best.
Glad to see that you may be checking in from time to time, and that you're staying with Lineage 2. We really need you right now - and sounds like you're going where you'll be able to make a bigger/more positive impact on the game and the people who devote so much to it. We appreciate all you do, and I'm sure all that you will continue to do, for the Lineage 2 community!
What do I say? I've already removed that word from my vocabulary. ;)
One of the 12 months of the year followed by a number between 1 and 31. Including a 4 digit number starting with a 2, with a 0 next, followed by 11 or 12 would also be great. If you really want to make us happy, you can even break down time related statements even further, by indicating 3 more sets of seemingly random numbers! Ending it all with an AM or PM would be the best. In the lands of aden we call this mysterious combination a "date". It is ancient giant technology recently discovered by the dwarves, used to communicate important events. The ivory tower claims it is related to ancient geometry and that could be the reason for their fall O_O

So GOD will not be soon .
This.

will u answer on that or u already got ncsoft disease and try to avoid?
Im wonder, if not Soon(R).... then what?!
-close?
-not long?
-presently?
I'm excited to see it !
Anyway good luck with new duties.
Install L2, play at least few times (best as Necro!) and try to get basic understanding of L2 world.
Not that it helps you to make announcement but for sure help you to understand incoming rage of player.
Why incoming?
Just because they can!
Many ppl come to Msg Boards only when they have problems in game world. More players at forum - forum need more moderators. So for me it's not a good news. Will be nice to see more GMs in game, especally at sieges etc. But anyway, Wellcome to our community and May the Power of Einhasad be with you :)
Also, be ready for massive players rage, when your colleagues, who actually hiding behind your back, make a slip-up. I expecting alot problems, since such a big update will be soon.
Thank you Sace for all your work with us, sometimes was unbelievable for me, where you get so many patience. I expect to see you around in future.
Maybe, maybe not. Gold selling shouts usually aren't that big of a deal in established f2p games, as it's much cheaper/more efficient/safer to just buy and sell gold from other players via cash shop transactions. Cash shops actually kills off a lot of "legit" gold selling and funnels that money directly to the game developers. However, the goldfarmers that get their money from hacking generally remain unaffected. Ncwest may have to work over time the first few weeks but once standards are established by the playerbase for cash shop items, the problem tends to fix itself.
You're asking this like you're assuming pants are involved.
As far as your other questions asked here (and other subforums), I am compiling the most frequent and persistent questions and working hard to get you answers. In the meantime I would greatly appreciate your patience. Cool? Cool.
I will update you as soon as I possibly can. Thank you all for the warm reception.
Questions usually SACE say soon, you NECRO PRINCE what say?
Hey Scorylo,
What do I say? I've already removed that word from my vocabulary. ;)

3 days to break your own rule?
Take care, else you will earn 10 incraftions too fast from the playerbase :p
Sorry, but as good as his intention may be, i don't think that the service will get any better. It's not the mods fault, it's NCwest.
(Tho i would like the idea that players can give infracations to temp ban forum mods if they fail. Or atleast edit/remove/close posts/threads if none constructive :D)

As we are quickly approaching the Goddess of Destruction release I wanted to take a few moments to briefly let you know what my involvement here is and what my goals are for the Lineage 2 community. :)
I was brought in as temporary coverage at a time when everyone at NCwest is actively bringing you Goddess of Destruction as quickly and efficiently as possible. Many of the moderators that you have had interactions with in the past are also responsible for bringing you the experiences that we all enjoy. During this demanding phase, I and others have been brought in to help out where we can.
One of my responsibilities is you, the community. I have been actively collecting your questions posted and formulating them into an FAQ that is currently being answered and will be made public shortly. So all I ask is that we all take a deep breath, relax, and stay cordial with each other. Moderators carry the responsibility of providing a safe, positive environment for everyone, and they will continue to moderate to ensure that happens. See the official forum rules of conduct here (http://boards.lineage2.com/announcement.php?f=137). With a big release like GoD coming it's easy to look at the questions being posted and think that no one is listening. When in fact, we read your questions regularly.
We will be answering as many of your questions as we can, but an important thing to remember is that some of your questions can only be answered by exploring and discovering an entirely new experience in Goddess of Destruction. Many of you are coming to the forums with years of experience in Lineage 2, and have deep-rooted questions that takes someone on the inside to answer. That's where I come in. And that's exactly why we've been working on an FAQ.
When the FAQ is posted, feel free to add questions as a reply and we will continue to get them answered. The FAQ is expected to grow as new questions are made and answered. :)
the most important question will be when will be the PTS server up cause there was a very good reason as to why in Korea all players had a copy of their chars made on their PTS and to deny that to the existing player base here is, sorry but there's no better wording for this, showing a lack of respect to us.

For the bold part:
And cos of that we want PTS to prevent us from wrong choices we can't correct at live servers !!!!
For the underlined part:
And that's why it's better to let the experienced players check out PTS and point out wrong translations etc. etc. like we did in the past.
Don't you think that all the PTS players will catch more bugs then like 5 ppl of NC w/o the "long" experience will?
the most important question is:WHAT NCSOFT WILL DO IN GOD TO STOP PVP PROGRAMS?...WILL WE GET ANTI CHEAT PROGRAM OR AGAIN WE WILL GET SAME ANSWER"WE DO OUR BEST"
lets see if some1 will answer that or again nc team is in avoid mode or who knows mby i get again few infractions bcuz i put the wrong question
i think u guys lose too much time to censor ppl instead of answering us
Yea but he was here like 3 weeks. That's pretty temp, even for a temp lol.
Either way, just curious if he's still here or not.
While we're on the subject of suspicious absences, where is moxie? We're all still waiting for the producer to explain why we got screwed out of a PTS.
Axed? LOL nope not at all. A majority of the moderations are handled by others, I'm coming through and collecting feedback and getting you announcements with most of my time. But thanks for the concern. :)

How about u make a good for the community and tells us if their will be new servers already? I am just saying.. :)

Alright big guy, just making sure they didn't stick you in the basement yet with the rest of em ;)

I'm more interested in how they could possibly think that posting patch notes, as if posting the patch notes was some kind of extraordinary, above-and-beyond measure leading up to an expansion, is an acceptable replacement for actually play testing the new classes.
