Is there a reason to disable switch main with subclass just to prevent server transfers? Maybe if we understood the logic in taking all down just to prevent one, it might help. Whom am I kidding? It won't help. Please just put the ones up you can. No one cares about server transfer.

I am stumped from rearranging my subs until I can switch my main with my sub. Can't even do the Dual Class thingie. And I can't obtain the Mentee Certificate because all my toons are over 40 and have finished the 2nd class transfer. Is there any way possible we can obtain the Mentee Certificate another way? Perhaps have the 2nd class change removed off a chosen toon? Or for people who achieved these things pre-GoD to receive these certificates retroactively?
It would sure take my mind off of the Account Services.

Well taking down the service almost 1 month before server update with 1 day notice is just stupid move of u.
shows no respect for they players and paying players.
And as for playing making decisions about chaning class/server/name and so on is the players own choice.
My whole constant is moved exept for 1 person that stayed 1 week longer to sell the last gear and then all of a sudden account service was removed.

We may have other ways to get the Mentee certificate in the future but for now it is only available through the Path to Awakening.

You could awaken as any class you want, and use the subclass certificates to change your subs to whatever you want.
only reson for playing on naia was due to location of the server.
now when both servers are NA based ppl want to move back to chronos to play with old friends and their constant that already was moved.
But the 1 day notice of closing down account service, for 1 month and 1 week and counting, made me lose my constant group and prolly ill just emoquit game now instead.

I understand that some services can't be available for example dual class because it's a new feature from game but change name, sex, character transfer servers (Naia <-> Chronos), change subclasss or change race from awakened char it's not very hard :)
Other services will be hard for example change the 4th class for other, change a dual subclass for a normal subclass, yes I understand that this services will not be available for now, because it's a new content from game :)

have not seen anyone ask to get any of the new stuff changed. what ppl want is to be able to change servers, names and classes just like it was before.

Err... no they're not. Castle sieges, for one example, cater to the different timezones in EU and NA. Players have their own reasons for wanting to move in between the two. The issue is not why, but when will they be able to do so again?

The reson im angry is becous they closed down account service with 1 day notice. my constant moved all toons exept 1 toon to sell the remaning gear.
he was gonna be moved the week after but that didnt happend since they closed accountservice 1 month before god came. with 1 day notice.
so we now have 6 toons on 1 server and 1 toon on the other. just waiting for him to get transfered.
the toon on naia cant do much. cant awaken cus then he will lose all books he gets in server transfer and so on.

This game is trully free. If you don't need account services, simply don't pay for them
There are too many people that needs Account Services because, for example there not was a PTS Server to test our characters.

Some folks need to realize that some of us have our own reasons for wanting account services back up. You're not helping the frustration by resorting to name calling. If you're not interested in the account services, feel free to step out and participate in a thread of your interest.
I feel your pain ownage, but I'm leaning towards NCsoft actually having other issues to contend with that we might not be aware of. I'm not happy to hear that we have to wait until after the holidays, but at least we have an answer. I guess I'll have to blow my Christmas money on another game.

We are aware of multiple requests for account services to return, and they will in the future. At this time I'm afraid there is no ETA or finalized details on what changes will be made to them. If someone was ready for a transfer, then he already sold his items, materials etc, all what he needed for playing the game, just because it's not possible to take all items, what you need. So those people just cannot play, not as they wants.
Many people waiting for their transfer (same for me), but as i see, we won't get it in near future..:( (with so many people, you won't even be able to make all requests in 1 maintenance..)

I think one of the reasons for such delay is, that L2 team are already under huge workload, having to account services at this point will push back all already late petitions/issues etc.
Yes I know, that they have a lot of work. This update was huge and so many new players makes it much harder with all petitions etc. I wanted to say, that if they had 1 man, who make transfers every week, just a few of them (I don't know, how it's work in L2 team, it's just my vision :D), there wouldn't be so much spam, where people asks on ETA, or they cry that they need to transfer. I also need transfer, so I'm waiting. I'm waiting almost 1 month and it is kinda long time. Everyday I have to tell my friends, that I still have no info about transfer date, so we cannot play as a group.. :(

would be a simple soulution to put old account service up but instead of doing that they just ignore the issue and **** on the players that missed their 1 day notice to bring down accountservices for prolly more than 2 months.
It would be nice if you can say what new features would be added to account services. I can't really understand why a gaming company would be holding back that type of information from people especially when the game has been released.
We understand that the team is doing it's best by working on some current issues though I still can't think of any good reason to hold this back. I do believe in drafts. Again it would be nice just to read about it, at least will have some idea as to what to do with new or existing toons.
Lets not forget the game was first released in korea, so I can't see why the transition from korea to the western side of the world should be delayed. Since the game was released in korea first it's a template to use for the western side of the world and should in fact cut time if anything. But yet we continue to see many areas that need improvement or if anything staff expansion to handle player requests a bit more professionally compared to other games which i wont refer here.

As you can see, they are not going to give us any other info about account services. We want to play, but some of us cannot, but noone cares. (I know, we all can play, we can find random party, but losing xp when I actually wanted to lvl up? Exping low sub without equip - I sold it, awaiting for tranfer - no thanks:D).
I think we all have to wait on official info, check this post everyday, check lineage2.com and pray for next week, and after that for next week etc :(

It's kinda dissapointing. People waits almost 2 months now, and noone is even going to give us any info about account services. Most people, who waiting doesn't need new services to be online or even old services to be possible to buy them, they just need their already used ticket to be done. I know, there was christmas and many people has their holidays, but that's the reason, why all people waiting. All players also has their holidays and they have a lot of free time, so they wanted to work on their new equipment etc.

the character transfers with 1 armor set 1 weapon 1 jewelry set (ie whatever is equipped including cape, hat, belt etc), nothing from the warehouse nothing from inventory and adena up to a specific amount depending on the character's level.
as to the NCWest sucks people, there was 0 chance they would enable account services during the holidays. The will probably enable them once the holidays are over and GoD has been live for around a month

And btw, chronos is easier to log in, than Naia, but if you are patient, you can log in in few minutes. :-P

I hope to hell that they do not allow server transfers to servers like Shillean. We are already heavy all the time, and by allowing people from chronos to migrate to Shillean, you would just be pawning the problems of one server onto another.
That would also destroy the balance of not having played for the past 7 years when a character with an unlimited amount of resources comes over and destroys our economy, and dominates the server.

I'm sorry we haven't gotten an answer for you about pending already-applied service codes from before the Account Services were disabled. The free Magmeld transfers are actually a separate kind of transfer than the paid kind that goes through NCsoft.com; that is why the pending transfers (stored in a different database) were not processed with the Magmeld transfers. I am bringing this situation to the attention of my superiors and when there's an update to share I will post it. For now, please create a support ticket about your pre-applied service code still being in pending status. If you've already opened a ticket about this, please PM me the ticket number.
Overall there is no ETA on when paid Account Services will be re-enabled, nor exactly what services will be available. It is taking a while because we are re-engineering the whole process to make it easier for players to use the services once they re-open. As soon as there are updates to share they will be posted.
isnt it lovley they give players free transfers away from chronos but for players like me that waited almost 3 months now i still cant play with my friends on chronos.

No, we won't get any other info. They are transferring people for free to magmeld.. Looks like it's too much work, to do other stuff.

I haven't updated this thread, but I have posted in more recently-made relevant threads that there are no updates on when account services will re-open at this time.
Well, hopefully there will be news soon. Many of us are looking for a transfer to Bartz now that the server times are being changed. On a related note, can you please give some heads-up before services are opened. People have to sell off a lot of items and burn vit pots (as many as can be done) before moving, so the more advance notice the better.

It is possible that server transfers similar to the Free Magmeld Transfers will become available before the rest of the account services open, or otherwise all services will open at the same time. Why don't you just reroll there? It's super easy to level 1-85 now and if hey are friends worth anything, they will help you xp and gear wise. You can transfer later when those services become available and you will have some background on new server too.

Why don't just reroll? Imagine, that you playing this game 2-3 years or more with one character. You actually payed all this time. All of this time, was spent on your main character, where you made all your % by killing milions of mobs (In some time before, it was actualy longer to exp character to 85. For example in good group on HB, you did like 1% per hour (if I don't count powerlvl by aoe there). Remember, that some people had wars, so exp on good spots meant to pvp to get them, or to keep them. So you didn't exp all hour, you could exp only between pvps, so from 60mins, you exped maybe 40mins or so. Count in some deaths, even if you got cardi ress, exp wasn't that effective. Old PK/pvp system was there, so not only pvp between CW.
So, you spent a lot of time to made your character to some lvl, then you did all three subs, because you could benefit from them, and subclasses had some advantages also. Ok, you imagined that? What do you mean, do you really wanna start from scratch? Still think it's easy to just reroll? (Some time ago, there were no vitality, no exp events etc...)
OK, constant party can help you to start again, but you will lost like 1 month(and rest of const party also), before you will get noblesse character, with some equip. Don't forget, that people, who plays some time (I mean years), had good equip, almost all wb jewells, good weapon auguments etc etc. Even If you make new character, you will miss that good equip, what you have on your old character, adenas, quests etc. CP can help you to make all of this, but takes a LOT of time, which you already spent in the game.
Still think, that you can reroll easily? I'm sorry for long post, just wanted to point out, that some people spent their payed time to make some character, and it's not easy to start over again, as you said, because after all those years, you just don't want to, when you know, that you will have your character on server you want in some time.. ;)
Come on.. at least release name changes/gender changes for now. Been waiting for ages for this. And since you were offering FREE server transfers why dont you allow paid ones so people can at least transfer from chronos > naia and vice versa.

not sure what spezion is so no why would you even think that my reply indicates that i was banned lol. i do agree that not having the sub to main kinda sucks because i actually used it so i will give you that one but the rest just deal with it until they fix the services.

There are now hundrends of ppl w8 for services not to say more..
2-5 per day isnt much but ppl would know is on, done slowly but is done and they would be more patient waiting.
And when that system would be ready u would have less to do.
Thats just recommendation since many ppl might leave because their clan / friends are at another server, and is not that easy to make char from 0 for players that are here for years, not to mention the money you could lose from ppl leaving.

In general all account services are disabled while we revamp the payment system and work on NCoin and back-end platform integration. Until this is done, we cannot re-open account services. Meanwhile, server transfers are the service in highest demand and we recognize that recent changes to the servers (time settings especially) make server transfers even more crucial, which is why we are working on finding an alternate temporary solution to enable server transfers, while we wait for the main revamp project to be completed.

Every account service requires downtime to be processed. We cannot force server downtime on all of a server's players for processes that effect only a few players. Downtime would be, at absolute minimum, an hour for all the services to be processed, QA and QC to test and approve the changes, and get the server back up (and there's likely other technical steps I'm not very knowledgeable of, but these are the main ones). That aside, the reason account services are down is because the payment system is being revamped. The Free Magmeld Transfers event obviously bypassed the necessity of having the payment system project finished, but a) servers are generally paid, and we do not currently have plans to offer free ones, and b) setting up and processing the Magmeld transfers was an experimental and imperfect event, and required development time from many of the same teams that are tasked with working on the payment project. So, while it is admittedly unfortunate that its taking this long, and while we certainly understand that we are losing profit the longer it takes, we are focusing our efforts on getting it done once and for all.
Again, we are still looking for alternate and temporary solutions to server transfers, but at this time I have no news about that, nor an ETA for when account services will be re-opened in general. As soon as I do, I'll let you know.

What's stopping you from using the system you used to transfer people to magmeld? It works, it's set up, and it's ready to go. The Magmeld transfer system is not integrated or compatible with any kind of payment systems, so it will not be used for future account services. There are currently no plans to offer free services. If plans for that come into existence, the Magmeld Free Transfer interface and coding is insufficient and incompatible with other services, so I do not believe we will use that same system again.
Again, we are still looking for alternate and temporary solutions to server transfers, but at this time I have no news about that, nor an ETA for when account services will be re-opened in general. As soon as I do, I'll let you know.

After "Epic Tsunami Banhammer: the most powerfull fight against bots" (to celebrate one year japanese tsunami) we will back to old projects like account services.

ps: changing my main to Yul mostly from being sick of people with anti-backstabs, so dont worry the moment my yul dual class reaches 85 and i spend a lot of money at the Set/bow(300 element, SA, +4), at this moment all the bots are getting banned and anti-backstab will no longer exists :o

Thanks for the prompt answer Sace, but that may be all well and good but we're going on 3 months since GoD went live and 4 months since account services have been down. How long is it going to take? Why does it have to be something done through NCoin? You guys had a working model before.. why not just reinstate it and call it good? Obviously there are a lot of people interested in something being done here.

off the top of my head i would guess NCSoft doesnt want to twist your arm to pay for everything; destiny packs, special items, event items, and on top of it services? can't be sucking so much money or you lose customers who simply cannot pay.
so offering services for accumulated PC points might be a solution to over-charging.
my broad-view would mark it something like this:
NC needed to know how much players were willing to spend on average. first adding the store, seeing the average. then adding cosmetic, and functional items, and seeing those statistics. then add event items in the mix, and special items from promotions. after all these statistics can be averaged out, then some numbers can finally properly reflect the amount of money typically spent by each player, and factor in how much they would like to ask for services such as server transfers which used to sell for 50 USD. just how much coin is that going to be equivalent to... how many people would be willing to spend.... and in the end then you can see a long-term successful business model.

This is not true. We acknowledge that there are benefits to opening account services for everyone, and we are working on making it a reality. It cannot be compared to the L2 Store/L2 Galleria for many reasons.

So tell us, who of NCWest can do then something real? Cos till now we just get ninja patches of which NOONE of NCWest has a clue, while PLAYERS check the Korean wiki and tell it. Considering players have been leaving the game in the last few weeks probably never, and GM's do not read the forums.
I know it's been a long time and we have not been able to share any ETAs yet, but I can tell you that Account Services will return in the future.
Waiting in anticipation for this day coming. I started out on the Original Bartz server GMT -6 and now would love to move to the New Bartz Server GMT -5. I am not a morning person I usually play from 9pm CST till 4am CST.
Hope this will be considered. I been playing L2 coming up on 8yrs a few days from now. I am definately looking to play with a new group of people. After 8yrs of playing with the same people it gets old I would love to see the game fresh again as far as being able to communicate with my own mentees instead of looking up what they said on bablefish lol. The one new account service I would like to see is being able to transfer one toon from one account to another account belonging to the same person :) Many people have asked for this over the years.

My clan would need any Team Speak or Ventrilo room, where we can talk with eachother, but we not really have idea from where to rent one what is work well and also cheap too. Would be much easier if we could get this service too from you.

NC does not have to host such things, their normal game server lag badly enough most of the time. Besides, Ventrilo and Teamspeak server rentals are dirt cheap now, I used DarkStar and for a 50 user server it only costs $9.49/month; they get cheaper if you want smaller ones.

now that dual class can lvl 85+ it should be doable.

L2 has worlds slowest account services
If you request it on wednesday after maintenance you have to wait a week...
In WoW, your request get processed within an hour, sometimes it takes as short as 5 min..
You think a week is slow... I have services pending now for several weeks due to this "Account Services Unavailable" and they never even explained why they couldn't continue supporting this aspect of their jobs. Many companies continue supporting their customers while re-inventing the way they do things or adding improvements. Waiting six months for these changes, they better knock our socks off and make us forget this fiasco.
