So we had a plan to make all summoners and in GoD this will be useless since everyone gets the same summons once you awaken? Trying to read about it I get more and more confused, so basically in the end of the game there will be only 8 true classes?
Yes, basiclly calsses of the same type become a same class, only differencied by their racial bonus. Less uniqueness, but on the other sid,e should be easier to form parties as you don't need to be selective on WC,PP or OL (Enchanter is enought, adn they also take the role of SwS/BD) and then wind or fire nuker (wizard has a toggle to change element), or even Cardi or SE/EE, you only need to look for 1 of those classes.
Lot of classes are going to merge into a same, but still, with the dual class system maybe it's not going to be an issue.

what exactly is dual class? sorry i'm not high enough and still new
Dual class is a subclass you can bring all the way to lvl 99. Just like your main.
So you can basically awaken two classes per char? So for instance I can awaken my main bounty hunter and then go to my subclass cardinal on the same dwarf, make him dual class and awaken him also?

Correct, but you have to lvl the dual class sub to 85 before you can awaken it.
Gonna post in here because I have a question about awakening and I feel a new thread might be a bit much.
Ok so basically, when you hit lv85, everyone becomes one of 8 classes and it doesn't matter which class you leveled up with correct? If so, doesn't that kind of take away part of what makes this game unique? If not, in what way does it matter still?
From what I grasped in the notes the answer is it doesn't matter which you level up with as it basically combines all the classes together to form 8 super classes, but I want to make sure.

There is still racial bonuses...
and seriously, people need to polish up their reading comprehension and searching skills... or more simply, have some patience when looking for answers...
