I've made up my mind (finally) not to play Lineage II anymore. Though I like the old game as it is now, with the Goddess of Destruction, I thin changes are too big for me that Lineage II becomes more an Aion/WoW alike MMO.
The one thing that made Lineage II so special for me was the diversity in classes. When from level 85 we'll all be forced back to the old main classes, then what's the point of choosing one of the current 33(?) classes we have?
As said on my blog before, I had doubts about the Goddess of Destruction for this, but now I've (finally) made up my mind NOT to play GoD. Instead I've reactivated my old EverQuest II account again to keep playing the diversity I'm looking for (PvP was always 2nd for me in any MMO).
To the Devianne, Naia players, thank you for the 3+ years of fun I've had!
To NCSoft, thank you for giving the best MMO experience ever

I bolded what I did because I have a problem with your statement.
Lineage 2 was/is/always will be a PVP game first and foremost. Everything about L2 is always marketed towards PvP.
Anyway, you're quitting, there is no sense in posting this on the forums, nobody really cares except your friends in-game, and you could have just told them personally. L2 is only going to get bigger now that it's going F2P. Have fun in EQ2. That game was ruined by SoE 5 years ago, hope that doesn't bother you.
You never know, we might have another update in few years time with another prof transfer.
Probably we will.
@Demi, well good luck mate! Nice playing with you. Hope you had a very good time too. Though you should at least give it a small try (eg. 15 days), it will be free to log in :P

This is a purely western phenomenon. The main activity in this game is fighting monsters, and players do it for thousands of hours to achieve top level and gear. Anyone who tries to pvp before then is nothing more than a punchingbag for those that got there first. This is how it has always been. If you've pvped more than you've pved, then chances are that you are a huge botting/ebayer/liar.
You might find the pvp more enjoyable than the pve, and that might be your personal goal, but all the grinding and lore that is forced upon us tells a different story about what the developer's intended or how things "are".

May I have your stuff?
i have come very close to sharing this decision.
i have decided to give Goddess a chance.
but like with all things i "give a chance" it usually ends up backfiring in my face. note to self, shooting a spear out of a shotgun doesn't work as well as it does on TV.
goddess is a big change.
free to play is a big change.
the sad reduction of clases is "needed"
but i always liked playing a rare class, and having friends who play even more rare classes.
you'd think in free to play, you could find more rare classes, but in new 8 class system, a lot will fade to blace even faster.
anywho, good luck, i've always regarded your insights above many others.
you will be missed.
Send me your stuff and I will hold on to it until your return. Anyone that wants to give me their stuff I will hold it or give you cash value when you return.
Just send me your high value items that depreciate over time, if you want to lock in the current value while you are away.
