^ Does this mean summons do not require any more crystals or I misunderstood something? xD I found this in the GoD patch notes, btw.
Anyways, I used to play this game around C4 for a month but left because I simply couldn't afford the monthly fee. Thank you for giving a chance to us, players from poor countries, I really appreciate it! L2 was my 1st MMO and it means a lot to me. I will be able to buy stuff from the cash shop occasionally, but not every month, sadly. This option sounds much better than monthly fees! Thank you so much for giving us a chance to play L2! ;_; *bows*

My first char was a summoner back in C4 and as a total newbie to MMOs (and L2) I found it expensive to get crystals. Now that I'm a more experienced gamer it might be easier, but I appreciate the change. x) I'll roll a summoner again. *feels nostalgic*
I dont know how it will work, but ( again, i may be wrong) Seems, that new summons after awakening whont consume anything(exept summoning points), till that, they do the same as now.
Because they have to spend less money on crystals? Maybe it's not expensive anymore but I remember wasting all my money on crystals. xD But then again, I was a noob and it was a long ago. ^^ I haven't played L2 since C4!
I guess she is asking "why" because she said that will only apply to awakened chars. But I think it will also be the same for all kinds of summoners cause it says:

and not: "After awakening servitors no longer require any upkeep..."
Yes but I also read that it will be very easy to reach lvl40 and the exp needed to lvl is decreased by a lot. So it should be faster / easier to reach this awakened thing, too. x) What lvl is it? 75? 85?

And yes you get lvl 40 very fast by quests.
If u could get an item as a drop and crush it for crystals u could use on summons, now u have to pay 500-540 for 1 spirit ore one way or another. And by expenses it isnt cheaper than it was.
I said i'm not shure, cuz i've seen it only on unnoficial l2 info site , thats updated to god thats on innova servers, but there could be a mistake.
Actually, I still think it's meant for any summoners not only awakened, because it is under miscellaneous, not the awakened part, it is separated with a o on the list not a square so it does not belong to the awakened part. But we'll see, lol.
We will see when GoD arrives and we try it out. I'm not sure either cause I do not speak Russian so I can't test it now, but it doesn't take long til GoD launches here anyway.
I didn't know that you have to use spirit ores for summons now. Really doesn't make it cheaper. But maybe players are lucky when GoD launches and their servitors no longer require any upkeep like spirit ores or whatever even when not awakened :)
But on the other hand it also makes sense when it would only apply to awakened summoners.. cause they can have 3 servitors summoned and that would really cost a lot.
