Will GOD support quad cores??

I have a gaming laptop Asus g74sx,intel i7 2.0 quad,8 gig ram,gtx560m 3gb GDDR5, SSD hybrid drive And the current l2 game does not pass 25 fps with al max out,30 with ALT+P . Even so at these low frames it gests like stuck frames 1 sec once in a while.
My question is..why really?i have the almost the best parts you can get on the market now and still can't run this game at max?. My best shot would be is the processor that does not support the game.
So,as the title say...Will GoD support quad cores??
I agree that the game is poorly optimized. I'm also running a quad core setup (Phenom II X4 @ 3.4ghz, 8gb DDR3, Radeon 6870), and the game runs the exact same as when I had an Athlon 64 3000+, 2GB DDR, and a Radeon 9800.

The L2 engine is the same engine as WoW (Unreal 2). Supposedly GoD has some optimization, but I'm not holding my breath. Some videos I've seen of people playing it appear to have slightly smoother animations and overall smoother gameplay, but I have no idea how much better they've made it.

well i did played aion on official, and there with a bit overclock i get 45-50 fps with theyr new graphic engine,if i put the old settings with old engine i get 60+ . Definatelly something with optimization,i really hope GoD will have it done properly!
EDIT: i do hope we get an official response from someone that really knows about it.

Well if you read some patch notes, the graphics engine kinda been tweaked. They also made char movements more fluent and also when they are riding mounts ( i think) but I know for a fact they made riding on a horse animations and movement alot better.

other then that not sure what else they tweaked

LOL. No.
