OMG this is very upsetting!!! No Forums for 12 hours no Game for 10 hours!!! This is going to be known across this community as black Wednesday, guess I can call some friends and family to get a game of Risk (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risk_(game)) or Diplomacy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplomacy_(game)) going. I hear the outside looks very colorful this time of year.

Don't hold your breath, this is just a normal maintence period. You won't see the hot new login screen until GoD.... and it's pretty impressive if I do say so. ;)

i've used the launcher before.
i had it on my old machine, just never used it for L2.
i had this idea in my head that chronos would be up, while naia would be down, but i guess it was just wishful thinking.
server down time estimated 24 hours next week...
Ya no lol, most games dont do the whole 1 server up and one down lol.... Also since im guessing it will be F2P tomorrow they dont want just 1 server being over flooded
1. I hope "relocated Naia" will work ok for EU players.
I've heard its worked out well for the European City of Heroes players, so hopefully this will have similar results.

Game Servers must be prepared for Trully Free model and both servers should air it at the same time and AFTER the account creation website is already up and running without errors.
Who still wanna buy S80 set for GD ? If you dont have already elegia its pointless to buy one.
Ofc, im so happy i sold my elegia breastplate to some noob for 400mil last week :D People dont realize that the only way to get elegia will still be from auctions. I think that even extreme freya stop to drop elegia in GoD and will drop other stuff.
I did. Though I hadn't too many delay before it, I felt a slightly decrease on it... But Lineage 2 began to ask for more of my HDD
But I advise you only to use it if you have quite wide band width, like 2Mb/s or more (and preferably not ADSL), since it increases the traffic you use at the same time...
Exactly the same thing I have at home... It should work well! :D
Provided your router don't holds TCP packets, but you would be dumb to configure it like that when Windows does that from factory (and that is exactly what Leatrix disable)
Windows and many network interfaces are configured to hold a TCP package and wait for a second one before answering to the sender. It is like this (Tech means technical term, where Ack stand for Acknowledgement):
Server: Client1, I'm sending you packet01. Did you receive it? (Tech: Ack Request)
Client1: <no response> (Tech: Waiting)
Server: Client1, again, did you receive packet01? (Tech: Ack Request)
Client1: <no response> (Tech: Waiting)
Server: Ok then, I will now send packet02. Did you receive it? (Tech: Ack Request Timeout and new Ack Request)
Client1: Server, I've received packet02 and also can confirm that I received packet01 before. (Tech: Double Ack Positive Response)
This shortens the client responses, which saves a few of your bandwidth. Still, when it comes to real-time process (streaming, online gaming and so on), you should want to have real-time responses, at the cost of bandwidth.
Leatrix Latency Fix does that. It becomes something like that (Tech means technical term, where Ack stand for Acknowledgement):
Server: Client1, I'm sending you packet01. Did you receive it? (Tech: Ack Request)
Client1: Server, I can confirm that I've received packet01. Waiting for the next packet. (Tech: Ack Positive Response)
Server: Ok then, I will now send packet02. Did you receive it? (Tech: Ack Request)
Client1: Server, I can confirm that I've received packet02. Waiting for the next packet. (Tech: Ack Positive Response)
This doubles the bandwidth consumed but decreases the waiting times by something nearly from 30% to 50%, provided that you have enough bandwidth to handle it.
