yeah, same here waiting for new servers. For the past few weeks I leveled a DA up to 68 on chronos and 48 TH on russ servers, but yeah who wants to level next to all the maxed out toons.

New servers can be fun for some players, but it takes surprisingly little time for new servers to mirror old servers in their power structure. Cheats tend to be more prevalent on brand new servers since everyone is in a rush to get ahead.
New players whose focus is PvE will do fine, if not even better, on established servers.
New players whose focus is PvP may do better on new servers if they are among the first rush of high levels to control ideal farming grounds. On the other hand, new players on established servers may have the advantage of working with older players who have the gear, the levels, and the know-how.
In short, new servers are nice options, but they shouldn't be a deal-breaker for anyone unless overcrowding becomes a major problem.

Don't worry, ncsoft will find ways to get money , server transfer will be profitable, they will add for sure server transfer sooner or later because it will be a payed service
And i dont see playing among high lvl characters a problem , there will always be a difernce between player, and its true that innova will offer the privilege of an fresh start but i hear that their service its worst then NCI and dont worry , there will be char transfer ;)

if you care to look around in the archives, you'll find there never was any official source of any game information; only announcements from time to time regarding patch notes and maintenance.
over the years i can count over a dozen sites that have been run by players because the official site DIDNT HAVE ANY INFORMATION.
there has never been an "official source" of anything.
matter of fact the sticky in the GoD section labelled "unofficial FAQ" contains more actual answers to GoD questions than the Official FAQ.
don't treat NCWest as being one with its community, it has always and will forever be past arms length.

This thread turned to a completely useless fight between old players and this guy called PWNZone, trolls feeding each other... /sigh.
But... somehow he has a good point, every single person who wants to start playing here when GoD comes out want to play on a new server.
I've been playing on Chronos for about 3 months (long time lurker on forums, just created an account :X) and about 5 years on private servers, we "new" players would love new servers to start over again.
Thousands of new players will start playing here and they are all waiting for a new server to show up, you won't see a large amount of new players right now even if it's F2P just because of what I stated above.
With some solid info about this everything would be easier, but for some reason NCwest is not making things clear for us, is it that hard to tell us that there will be new servers when GoD goes live? >:

well old players have lived last 2 months on SOON timeframe, speculating and making false and true rumors. we all are in the same boat ;)
IMO I think NC had two purposes for what they did.
They wanted to attract players to the official retail servers which is good for all players ....new and existing.
They wanted to somewhat control the RMT but more importantly they wanted to make a sustainable profit. Again that is good for us players because if NC does not make sufficient profit or at least break even this game won't last
I have always advocated that NC should sell Adena. I mean lets face it... what keeps RMT alive are the Adena buyers and according to NC its a billion dollar business. Why should NC not benefit from the sale. According to NC most RMT are using stolen credit cards so that they don't even get the account revenues. Plus the Bots have made many people quit the game. I was paying for 5 accounts and got so fed up that i quit as well.
NC is gambling that if the game is Free2Play people will support them by buying NC Coins. The Coins must provide something that Adena can't buy hence the super buffs. Again ...really ...how many nifty hats are you gonna buy ;)
There is really little benefit for them to provide new servers until they feel that the game is sustainable with the model they have envisioned. On our part we have to be somewhat gratefull that they are providing a free service and understandable that if NC does not make ends meet...not only will new servers not be added but the game won't be around.
Their model still leaves the RMT..... for now. It's going to be somewhat of a fine balancing act for NC. Could they eliminate RMT maybe not entirely but certainly they could put a huge dent in their earnings.
Will the new servers come...if the current people support the existing servers and more people start to play and additional servers are required of course they will add them...why wouldn't they it would make for more profit for NC which is good for us to.
So.....i think we should support NC...... before we start to demand things, like servers etc.........we should be greatfull for what NC is in the process of giving us :)

1.Ofcourse NCWest give chance for server transfer so 7 years OLD nabs with Full Levels Full Gear will Rulle new players.
2.This server is very very old and we all know how much BOTTS was here before and First what i think you cant imagine how much BILLIONS or maybe TRILIONS ADENA BOTS Farmed here for 7 years.... The best compromise would be to cap transfers to the new servers at lvl 75-80. That way returning players could transfer off if they wished, and people starting fresh won't eventually be going up against juggernauts decked out in end game gear even though they'll still have to deal with the fact that RMTers will transfer over their toons as well and pumping massive amounts of adena onto the new server.
I was considering coming back, but only if they implement new servers the right way.

Although I have no love for private servers, Lineage II going Free to Play will only make a small dent in the lower rate ones, it will not effect the amount of private servers.
I am always curious about these private servers so I often browse their websites/forums to see what they are about; here is what I have compiled as far as what they offer (I still do not like private servers however):
Many players have no interst in retail because of the lack of customer service, insane amounts of botting (yes, there are still many bots), adena sellers, the 1x rates and many just do not like Goddess of Destruction. Other reasons players prefer private servers is the people running them pay more atention to their players, hold more events for much better awards, actually have anti-bot and anti-cheat software in place.
Players do not always care that everything is not 100% as retail, they prefer the pleasure of leveling faster, etc.
NCwest will not chase these private servers, they seldom pay attention to their own servers so nevermind private ones. :)
A fair amount of Private Servers had more online than any one Official server ever even came close to. Difference between Private Servers and Retail is about the same as the difference between Republicans and Democrats. It's just about the same ******* thing, except both sides don't like each other.

I started L2 when there were people playing for 4 years and it wasnt that bad. And i wasnt any punchbag of the top players, they have their own clans, enemies and wars with other top people they care about. On retail top clans dont bully pve clans if they dont give them a good reason to do so. I was playing occasionaly and caught up on the top players anyway.
Also to kill your dreams bout new servers ... you gonna have there people 85 fully geared within a month (probably even faster on innova with anakims but oh well...). And at the end, you dont need to bot, some pople are able to exploit up bilions of adena in one day. So go play to innova but dont come back crying how the evil bots, buggers and e-buyes ruined your little world. Cause they were, are and will be everywhere, no matter where you go to play :)
I do agree that a new server at launch (30th Nov.) would bring a whole load of players to retail and is definitely what NCsoft should do. But I wouldn't say the game will die if they don't.

+1, a small group will come to dominante in no time. First to farm ant queen, baium, etc, and get castle control will quickly start owning everyone else.
On a side note, someone posted about how some priv server players are very good. This is true, but you guys flooding on here and flamming/spamming isn't going to make you welcome among the older players. Retail is different than privates in some ways, and just discounting what the old timers tell you is rather foolish. Like some are trying to explain to you how NCSoft almost never opens a new server for transfers right away, but some feel the need to totally blow it off.
To be honest GoD on Chonos is about fresh a start as you're going to get.
Gear will be plentiful. Market is full of devotee scrolls, transformation scrolls, and buff pots. Even the max levels are having to deal with resetting their skill enchants, their boss jewels becoming outdated, and having to figure everything out again with 7 ppl parties and various buffers being left out. Factions will be wide and varied from old school players, to recent transfers, and brand new private server wonderkids. Resources will be difficult to monopolize with the new instanced raid-bosses.
New War and PvP rules will keep things mixed up among old players, allowing you time to catchup. Which shouldn't be long, as you will only need 1/4th the exp prior to level. It's going to be interesting to level with auto-declare wars, free PKs, and constant rep/fame farming. Your greatest asset at this time is no one knows you.
I suppose you could wait for a new server, but why bother? As others have said unless you're on the bleeding edge of progression don't you end up in the same spot?

Hard to comprehend eh? Well I guess old players dont like the idea of a new server ofc because the new servers will be full with people and that's bad by their way of thinking.

I advice u to make new server so ppl have a fresh start, no one will join existing servers because no one cant compet with 7 yearsold players all gear up and stuff.
I strong believe that if u announce new servers to new ppl and old u will get a massive responde from players around the world and get those guys u play in privates servers and belive me there are thousands of them.
Companies rely on old players but they only survive if they have the ability go gather new players.
1 thing i dont like is this feature pay to win, just stick to fashion items and double xp anything else will kill the game.

I agree resigned up but wont play on older player based servers. Regardless if free or not. Used to play hardcore got borreed went hardcore many other titles. I wont play L2 unless it ison fresh new servers regardless of population.
People need to be patient as there will be a new servers. There is no current ETA, but educated guesses suggest at least one new server opening next week.

When the next one rolls around your working on your first sub. I come back to retail at 44 on my SE. I remember spending weeks in cruma to go from 32-44. I log back in for the first time in 3-4 years and now my SE can transform into a nuker? I go from 44-50 in 2.5 hours. WTF Happened? TBH These people should stop complaining about the current server. They will be begging for people to transfer when there are no existing top a+ armor sets / weapons on the server.

You get free S grade gear when you third-class. They will also be selling S grade gear in the Luxury shop. R-Grade gear requires items only obtainable through quests -- basically, NOBODY has ANY material for R-Grade yet. Not on Chronos. Not on Naia.
