Changing subclasses

General Discussion Started Last reply 20 posts
Hi,

Simple question. Will we be able to change our subclasses to other classes?

I heard something like that, that we can do that, beyond the 4th class selection, we can select new subclasses as well.
its always been possible to change subclasses....

what kind of change do you mean ? change Sagitarius subclass to Phoenix Knight ?
lol..

change i meant that you can change your sub to whatever you want, and it will have same lvl like previously.

sure. as long as they are both level 40, you can be almost anything.
man, if you dont know the answer, why the hell you have to reply?

I'm talking about changing a lvl 80.100 % subclass to another class which will be 80.100%...

got it?
Yes, they will allow you to change your subclass once for all of your subs.

As for being a Kamael player, I didn't change my sub classes upon awakening. But they gave us an item to change the sub classes when GOD first updated.

You can change your sub to any other class if you want when GOD updates.
thanks, sounds good.
another question came to my mind.

I heard that we will receive some item(s) that changes the attribute of weapon.

Is that true? We can change attribute on weapon?

Yes, you will have two chances (with an item they give you in the inventory) to change the attribute of your weapon.;)
thanks for the answers, thread can be closed.
Wait, don't close thread yet.

You can change your sub to any other class if you want when GOD updates.

So, does this mean that the subclass restrictions are lifted once the update is applied?

A light elf can subclass as a dark elf class and vice versa?

Anyone can subclass as an Overlord/Dominator and Warsmith/Maestro?

Edit: Oh, and welcome back, destructor. Ah missed ya!

No. It is one time deal.

If you have existing subclasses now you will get 1 Subclass Change Certificate per each on the day GoD will launch. You will keep the same level and % as your previous subclass.

Same rules as before will apply. For example you cannot subclass Swordsinger as Bladedancer.

We are given this chance because you cannot make a Dualclass subclass that is the same archetype (enchanter, warrior, healer, summoner, tank, rouge, archer, mage) as your mainclass.
the more interesting question is will you be able to dual sub a class and have also one of that type as regular sub ? the restrictions we know of only apply dual sub versus main so it makes me wonder how it goes between dual sub & regular subs..

As far as I understood, you can't get a new subclass that has the same archtype of your main or dual.

But provided you already have one subclass that is of the same archtype of your main or dual, you can keep it, but you cant dual class it.
You will have the ability to take 1 of your sub classes past the level limit and awaken it after you do the "Split your destiny" qest (I think that's what it is called). You will also be able to have the 2 aditional sub classes that you had, so you will still have 3 subclasses but 1 will be able to be above the level limit for subclasses.

That's what Dual and DualClass means, Zoc. :)
But those scrolls are useless for kamaels
Yea just to clarify - there are 2 event options available regarding changing existing classes: sub change certification which allows you to change your existing subclass to another keeping the lvl (not having to get sub to 75 to add a new one at lvl 40). I encountered some restrictions though - if I have a subclass that matches the 4th class of my desired new sub, I cannot change. I have a SH with BD and TH sub and I wanted to change the TH for orc buffer - didn't have the option on the list until I resubbed the BD (it was only lvl 43 so no big deal) to a non-enchanter class.
The second this is the Stone of Destiny that allows you to pick any 4th class after you do the Awakening quest, normally it would be limited based on your 3rd class. But now you can make a dorf into a healer etc. But as said above, it's a one-time deal, not gonna happen to characters created in GoD. Currently I have a working Cardi lvl80 sub and an 86 Aeore healer main. Seems fine to swap between them too. I'm guessing I'll have trouble dual classing it, or not being able to use the Subclass Change certificate, hence my question on that in the Player Questions subforum, but we will see :) I'll try and post back with more info if I can find anything out.

Ok I am in a situation here.

My main is an 82 Hierophant. I have a level 76 Cardinal subclass and a level 40 Warcryer.

I want to switch my Cardinal to a Shillien Saint because Cardinals are basically obsolete now with the new pomanders. However the class does not show up on my list of options when I talk to Reanee (Subclass Master on Talking Island)

Is there a way I can do this without resetting my 76 sub back to 40?

I have two Certificates of Class Change. I was thinking maybe I could switch my sub to say...a Duelist, then switching it again to a Shillen Elder?

Really need help on this please everyone!
I would say try starting by getting rid of the warcryer sub as it is conflicting with your hierophant main. Even though it doesn't seem logical that it affects your cardi-SE swap as those are same type of classes but you never know... Besides if that sub is only lvl 40 then it's no big deal to reroll it to something else (your option of duelist should work fine).
And after that check if the possible sub swap choices have changed. It might be a clue whether the restriction is tied to the hierophant-warcryer conflict, when you check the list if it has for example BD or SwS (as those have the same type so shouldn't be available either).

Sorry I cannot say anything solid as my setup was a bit different... But if after getting rid of the warcryer you still don't get the options I can test it with my SwS - it has the same 4th class as your hierophant so trying to change my current necro sub to let's say EE or cardi should give the same combination as your classes (unfortunately I cannot try to go SE due to elf-dark elf restriction).
