Only two characters per account?! o.O

Why is it that when I logged on Shilen that I only could make two characters per account. I honestly thought I'd be able to make 7 characters per account like it was when it was pay 2 play. :mad:

It could also be that you require to buy more slots with NC Coins, i have seen that on other games that changed from montlhy supscription to free to play like Lord of The Rings Online and maybe Rift.

Everything is free but more character slots, more bag slots (for inventory), and more features (mounts, etc)

Maybe this is the case here.

I'd think if that was the reason why they should have made it clear in the info on Goddess of Destruction but I read thru it all before launch & it wasn't mentioned that I recall.

you can create more than 2 on chronos & naia its restricted on 2 only on shilen my guess is the same as zylos to prevent the name steals that would stick on lvl 1 chars

They've specifically said they would NOT be changing char slots when they went free to play:

Unlike other recent MMO ‘Free to Play’ conversions, Lineage II Truly Free does not burden you with gameplay restrictions like blocked features or content, limited character slots, or level caps.

The limit seems restricted to Shilen, so I'd say it's either to let more people get on/get their preferred names, or someone forgot to set the config option for max chars for that server *grin*

id say they just did that for the first few days/weeks, until the server kinda settles, so you cant hoard names ;P

Be interesting to see if they increase the number later on. I can't see myself heavily alting here, but I didn't expect to be enjoying the revamped lower level stuff so much either. Still, if they increase it later (when the population settles down a bit more and they know what they're dealing with), that's fine.

Question for me is how are folks with more than 2 pre-existing characters being handled? Did you lose access to them? Or still have them but have no option of making more?

You could start making chars on Shilen after the update launched and you can only make 2 there for now, so there shouldn't be an option of having any existing ones :confused:

Well hopefully I can make more characters later on Shilen or I'll be moving to Chronos.

I dont see where to buy more characters slots :(

I wish they add some instruction.

Also i hate the tutorial, the line that guide you should be specifict. (Turn, do this)

How about you just make another account. Problem solved.
