Afaik, the only way to get mentee certifikate in our servers is by completing 2nd class change quest in GoD(source: path to awakening section on main site). Whoever has done the 2nd class change before GoD isn't eligible to receive this certificate or any other previous reward for completing particular milestones in game. They advised to create a new toon and start from 0. You need this certificate to be able to sign contract with a mentor
considering that 95% of the exp required to go form 1-85 lies after 80, it seems ridiculous not to give everyone a mentee certificate or whatever it is called.
NCsoft developers pls fix this lot of ppl sad with reason about this.
imo just add this certificate in all chars 40+ and less 85, we no want start new chars just cause of this and is not fair for us.
If they give out the contract it should be only for people people 75 and not third class change yet. Otherwise ill have my buff slaves logged in to give me bonus xp and abuse the system.

Slycutter, your justification for why it shouldn't be done is illogical. Logging alts for bonus XP is already possible through the mentee system. All you have to do is level a character to 40 and they get the certificate. It would barely be beneficial for the mentor for the sole purpose of "abusing the system," however, since it's only what, 10%? It would, on the other hand, be fair that the certs be given to the people who spent the time to level to 40+ but not to 85 before GoD went live. The metee certificate is beneficial all the way to level 85, so why should only new characters reaching 40 receive it?
Ex. New character reaches level 40 and receives certificate. That same character XP's for awhile and eventually reaches level 60, still retaining that certificate. Meanwhile, a pre GoD chracter that was already level 60 does not have one and levels slower than the noob character because of it. Equal level, unequal playing field.
Come on NCSoft, old toons should be treated equal. Keep all the other items and shadow weapons from milestones, but the mentee certificate should have been given out the same as the stone of destiny (-85 of course).
As I mentioned in my previous thread, http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=220415 I found very unfair treatment to all those who have played these payed months and for X reason couldnt get to 85 before GoD comes live.
Personally I have played for very long time and now see that new characters will level more than double speed (+%200 xp/sp + great buffs + bonus gear), seems to be wrong and very disrespectful to all the players that has been loyal to you before GoD update.
Im not asking for free gear or pots/shots, Im asking for the Mentee Certificate to all those who are between 40 with the second class done and lower than 85.
I seriously think that NCsoft need to think about this decision of leaving behind so many players.

@ SlyCutter , dude i had a char before, and with the nickname i like, why i have to start a new char to get the Mentee Certificate ? Its a new system if you want the certificate roll an alt. Just because we have been in this game forever does not mean we deserve to get every new item for free.

I got one on my alt, who was 35 before the GoD update, and then I got her to 40 this morning.
I don't know why they don't just let us claim the rewards up to our existing level; its not like they give anything that's super broken.

Even with an alt, its not like you can transfer the mentee's cert to another character using the Dimensional Merchant.
Just lvl up a new char to lvl 40 , claim the items at the site, THEN go claim the CERTIFICATE at the Dimensional Merchant with the old high lvl char you had before .

Nice try noob... but dimensional merchant items are assigned to specific chars. So this wouldn't work.

OMg People come on stop crying. I had lvl 41 HUMAN WARRIOR prior to the update. Today i did the quest and completed him as a gladatior. I went to Lineage 2 website and path of awakening. I claimed my item. I then took my main lvl 82 TITAN and claimed the certificate via dimentional merchant. Its not that hard.
