In less than 24 hours, thousands of new players have joined, returned to, and celebrated the arrival of Lineage II: Goddess of Destruction. All of our servers, including the new server, Shilen, have reached capacity. Therefore we are happy to announce that we will be opening another server today, on December 1, 2011. The new server, Magmeld, will have the same characteristics as the Shilen server, and can be found listed here (http://www.lineage2.com/en/news/announcements/2nd-new-server-magmeld.php).
We are still finalizing the details regarding what time the Magmeld server will open. Please stay tuned and watched for additional announcements.
UPDATE: We are currently testing the server internally. Players will see it listed on the server selection list but as "Down" while we continue testing. It will be open to the public shortly! :)

I didnt have a forum account so far, and I just made one now, to say this:
I know whole clans, not just people, including my clan, that would love to have a server from NC with EU times, and not Innova.
And if you consider it, there are many players from EU so it is a nice gift for them, the new server to be EU.
Also it is more logical, to have 2 NA, and 2 EU servers, and not 3 - 1, as someone mentioned above.

the question isn't whether people would like to have an EU timezone server, the question is if NCWest is allowed to open another EU timezone server. Don't forget, Innova paid them money for the EU rights I am not sure they 'd like direct competition

I came from a time when we only had three servers and then grew to eight only to shrink down to two. Looking over all of the closed server names at the bottom of the forum, i have to ask.

True no need have 5k cap....... this is not new mmo.. you need learn from past mistakes;P
divine it slowly let ppl lvl... 300 ppl in 1 area trying questing and then gms spawn 19191919919191 mobs does not help to server stability at all..

don't be silly. Game is laggy cause there's 6000 people in one area. As the game progresses and people spread out 6000 is fine.
And no 2000 is not enough, Naia was getting more than 2000 before f2p and it was a ghost town

if you were in game then it wasn't overcrowded, it was under the limit. When you try and fit 6000 players in one exp zone doing one quest yeah it sucks but you can't solve that by opening 10 servers and merging them in a month

Whether you want to play on Innova or not, that's not NCSoft's problem. NCSoft handles the US, Innova handles the EU. NCSoft's not gonna cater to NEW EU players, and they shouldn't.

I guess running a physical server in EU is not an option but running a NA server with EU ingame time is obviously an option since Naia still has EU time inside.
So yeah the new server should have that too because of Siege times etc.
They can not open EU timezone based server...or they don´t want to...or they are shocked from us and need some time to give us answers :D Guys too much questions...but without any answer they are pointless...let the NCSoft guys make their best...I think they should know what to do :-) PEACE :P

I dont know on which planet you live, but i know hundreds of EU players waiting for Innova. I would not just cry about how bad Innova is, i would use Google and use my brain if i were you.

Innova staff on their Forum was more helpful and did answer questions faster than NC ever did.
And as already was written, NC cant and wont open a new EU Server.
Thats kinda off topic but all those people not able to think for themselves drive me crazy - seriously if you were told that Santa really exists you prolly would believe it.
Unfortunately there are currently no plans to open a new server in the EU timezone. Naia is available for all players that prefer this timezone, and perhaps in the future we may offer other options as well.

Seriously, don't people understand that INNOVA is now officially the company which has the rights to run euro servers for L2? NCWest ist probably not even allowed to open a new euro time zone server, because that probably is in their agreement with Innova.

There is 1 new server, Shilen opened yesterday that you can play in right now and today there will be another new server, Magmeld, that you can't play in yet but you will be able to play in later tonight. That's all we know.

i doubt it. Innova is known for its worse service than NCWest, as well as never patching bugs.
yep. and no amount of donations or buying from the store will help, either. Russian forums are proof of that. 13 servers of people buying stuff, nothing is fixed.

There is 1 new server, Shilen opened yesterday that you can play in right now and today there will be another new server, Magmeld, that you can't play in yet but you will be able to play in later tonight. That's all we know.

I wonder why ppl asking for anohter EU server... afterall Innova bought the license for europe so NC will not give us anohter one for sure.
Its a kick in the nuts basicly but i think we europe player have two options at the moment... wait forever for innova or live full and bad ping NA (location and timezone) servers.
Try relogging if you haven't. It seems like trying to log into Magmeld while it was unavailable made it so you couldn't connect to any server without relogging.

ive tried restarting game and relogging since the servers all went GOD, and ive not even been able to get into game yet

Because we have good memory on the past server and if you open with same name you will destroy those memory...
I'm severely okay with NCWest taking the one server at a time approach. When Innova opens up it's servers, alot of the EU customers that are bursting at the seams to get into NA servers right now will be moving. I'm not looking forward to another server merge anytime soon.
Not a problem on my side. restarted client, and was able to logon to Magmeld without any problem (not gonna make a char there though...)

I'm pretty sure they have a contractual obligation not to open another EU timezone one, otherwise I think they would have. Of course, they also might be waiting to see how many leave for innova, in which case you'd rather have one decently populated EU server than 2 fairly empty ones.

The mobs don't spawn fast enough and being from the UK, New Zealand, and Australia we are finding that getting credit for a kill is hard as the server eventually decides another player got the kill. It took a friend three hours earlier to kill the lvl20 spiders. I've had a hard time with the lvl40 mobs but nothing quite so severe.
There were plenty of extra spawns on Talking Tree for quests. Just doesn't seem like the service has filtered through to other quest/levelling grounds.

I know delay is still a bit of a problem, but if you want EU stationed server then you are looking for it at the wrong place since NCWest has no rights for European market.
Since Innova (witch holds rights for EU market) is out of question for major group of EU players, i am offering solution for sieges and TW times.
400 ping or no, we just wanna play bug free game. Innova is disaster.
Skelton, in terms of my friend Kas and the spiders I don't know the full story where she was where she had looked. I seem to remember yesterday that the spiders when I was there were only in the middle field while the orcs and lizards were all over the place. I remember going looking for them because at windmill hill before the update the spiders used to be on the far side of the road that ran past the middle field some way. I went looking for them in in "old" spawn spot but didn't find any.
I suspect the 3 hour spider ordeal was compounded by the fact that the drop rate isn't 100% so when you get lucky to get an uncontested mob there's no guarantee the quest item will drop. While there are some nice changes about the new combine quest line the mob competition is not one of them.
I honestly think NCSoft has had blinkers on as to how popular L2 is on the private server circuit (just check the number of authentication issues posts in the last 48 hours) and have severely underestimated how many people were going to try official. Will they all stay? Unlikely. Many will be unhappy about the strict PK rules now in place, but I also think that it is unfair to expect "regional" players to wait for the drop off before having a go at the game. I can't get on to Chronos at all so I haven't even been able to try the new lvl85 transfers.

I don't mind paying for the stuff here, like vanity items and some packs....as long as the game is fair for all but i will not let myself dragged in a competition "who's paying more" style.
