I was able to get logged in and was puzzled why i was on talking island, finally got myself ported back to Elmore and was shocked that the town was deserted and just not of people but NPC's! All of the starting towns appear empty as ghost towns expect for the human town....
It did leave me with some questions, so i had to check out what this update was all about. And after reading the walk through it answered them. When you create that new character you start on talking island in the muddled masses along with everyone else deprived of the history of your character, and get pushed through the quests to become like everyone else.
It feels gone is the history and story of LineageII!

Did you read WHY all races are starting at the same place??
Its is indeed following a history you know... Shilen.. the Goddess of destruction... destruction... ring any bells...
Aden its at war... and Talking its the last "safe place" for all races...
Its kinda cool ... :)
If you played Lineage 1 which is 200 years in the future i believe, all classes start on Talking Island because they home villages were destroyed years ago in a war.
Yeah Splat; I don't know if you knew but L2 is actually a prequel to L1; if I recall correctly around 200 years before the first game.
In the future chronicles the dwarves will be gone I believe, and sadly one of the other races too (I don't remember if it's the elves or orcs) so only humans, dark elves and the Kamael(?) stay for Lineage 1.
Btw, welcome back Splatter! I am glad to inform you that GoD is very casual friendly and you won't ever have to super turbo grind anymore to get anything done. It's fast but not "furious" and it does bring the diferent levels on a more balanced ground.
its actually 150 years from L2 prelude to L1
well i dont know about L1 lore that much one thing is for certain elfs are still there since they are a playable race in L1
