While Goddess' accelerated leveling is fine and all, I hit level 16 on my new Dwarf very, very quickly. To be honest, I almost didn't notice how quickly I was leveling until I looked up and saw I where I was!
Lineage II was infamous for grind, so is this swinging the pendulum too far the other way? Or is it because there's so little for your character in terms of skills and such early on, so speeding things up let us get to more, faster, and then maybe it'll slow down? Right now I've got a low-level Templar in Aion who has far more skills (combat, crafting, etc) than my L2 Dwarf does.
Just wondering. I'm shocked at how fast its going right now, I don't expect it to stay at this level, and hope it tapers off at a reasonable point. I'm not a fan of excessive grind, but at the same time this seems odd to me. I'm guessing its by design since the quests seem to be more or less in line with my progression, though @_@
I finished a second job transfer quest today, I went from 39 to 42 with the change, and finished another quest and now I am 43 and change and they sent me already over to Ivory tower.
Sweet, good to know. So, it should be more "natural" about then?
If by natural you mean a coupl eyears to reach end level? nope.
If by natural you mean "you still will get a couple levels a day by mostly questing, with grinding for parts/adena OPTIONAL" then yes, it's more natural after 40.
Class change shot me from 39 to 42, I am still in that chain at level 44.
And almost 2 million adena from the prizes; I dropped all the old quests for that char, they are just really really not worth the effort anymore.

Natural as in "doesn't feel like a 10x XP weekend with XP boosters bought and used" :p
And you still get a daily until 76 that will more or less insure that you will level once every two days if you only do the daily, and will provide enough adena to simulate you grinding for 8 hours straight.

Who cares about 16?
Things will probably scale. We get 10 times the adena we used to get but people will start asking 10 times the amount they used to ask for they goods. That's what I think anyway.
I don't know about you guys, but I'm not envying my clannies and the speed they're leveling at at 86. The grind is coming. Just give it time.
Don't doubt it. On the other hand, I feel like I'm on a bike going downhill - a bit too fast. It is good to know that the training wheels do come off, though.

On the plus side, gear under A grade will plummet in price; as there won't be a market for it; you get one weapon set and armor set for free that lasts 30 days; I think up to S grade.
