Solution: We have created a "grace period" for players that bought the pack within 11 hours after the promo's actual cutoff time.
The cutoff time was November 29, 2011, at 6pm CST; the grace period extends it to November 30, 2011, 5am CST. Players who missed the cutoff but still made the grace period will receive the promo items: Vesper Weapon of Destiny and the 10 Destiny Enchant Scrolls.
We already have a list of all the players that purchased the pack during the grace period: there is no need to contact customer support to request that you get the promo items.
The rules for the promo items received in the grace period are the same rules as during the actual promo: the promo items will be delivered to the highest level character on the server that they assigned the Destiny Pack to. The class of that character will determine the type of Vesper Weapon of Destiny they receive.
The promo items will be delivered in the maintenance on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
The grace period does not include the Elegia weapon sweepstakes: the sweepstakes is over and no more Elegia weapons will be awarded.

"I failed the enchantment on my Vesper Weapon of Destiny and it is gone!"
Some players that failed enchanting their weapon and lost it are asking for a refund.

We understand that it can be frustrating when a weapon breaks on enchantment-- it can happen to anyone, but success can also happen to anyone.
Are you allowing Destiny Pack transfers to the new servers? I only ask because I purposely didn't buy it till the new server was live because I wasn't able to select shilien as an option for the destiny pack at the time.

The FAQ's clearly stated that if it blew up it would reset to +0.
So NC Soft changed the terms and conditions after I made my purchase, which by the way in the US is normally a binding contract for the terms and conditions at the time of purchase.
Let's not go there, as it is not time to argue that yet...
This was made even worse by posting an update on a FAQ without clearly informing me that the terms and conditions changed. This burden was upon NC Soft to accomplish and this FAQ change was not enough.
NC Soft could have easily ran a filter against the people who purchased the Destiny Pack prior to the change to the Terms and Conditions and sent an ingame MAIL to those users that could have CLEARLY notified these users that there were changes to the Destiny Enchants. NC Soft could have sent me a real email to my registered email address just as easily, but chose not to, thereby negating my ability to make an educated decision when it came time to use the enchants on my Duals.
This is the big fail.. I had 6-7 ingame MAILS about GOD, but nothing about the enchant changes to the Destiny Pack. There was also no BIG Notice on the main site,which by the way we could not have accessed the day of the update anyway, same for the forums.
Sace, you have to admit this is an eggregious error on the part of NC Soft and they should make amends for this oversight.
I understand that there was alot going on during this timeframe, but I spent ALOT of money on this and my money and time are worth just as much as anyone's at NC Soft.

Yes, the weapon was technically free, but when you said "permanent," I didn't think it meant "permanently in your inventory."

Isn't getting a set amount of crystals upon a failed enchantment also part of the game design? I suppose there had to be an exception since you would have to make the crystals untradable as well. And not everyone has a use for S-grade crystals.
You should have just set the weapon to be slightly similar to the Hero's Chest: +4 enchant, untradable (but permanent), and let us choose what attribute to add, with a max of 150 (since the attribute on the Vesper weapon currently can't be increased. I suppose that's also part of the game design?).
Wouldn't it make more sense to extend the vesper weapon promotion (without elegia bonus) for another week or so? I'm guessing many more players would have gone for it if they new they could transfer it to the new servers.
It would also give the opportunity to those who blew up their weapons to get a second one.

I agree with you if the success rate was 50%..but its 33%..
I paid for my NCcoin to purchase my Destiny pack over 5 days ago and still am just pending. I have not been able to receive anything from it and still no word after yet another email about where the account still stands. This is not how I expected NCsoft to be as far as customer service.

i suppose i might be upset too at this, however in the wep packs, most daggers are low or mid grade compared to top grade weps of other kinds. its ncsoft, its a game, its not fair. just go with whatever comes and deal with it. thats the fun part.

People want to transfer they s grade weapon into new server. They couldn t choose the new servers so why they are able to transfer they items into new server?

Many people purchased the Destiny package, with a conditions of purchase as advertised at the time, or prior to the actual transactions, which were clearly stating that the Vesper weapon cant be destroyed and upon fail enchant process it resets to +0 , but in a no way stating that the weapon can be lost!

ncsoft is covered by their user agreement and as such they may change items or the function of items at their discretion. these "purchased" items are in fact gifts for DONATIONS made to the server. again, GG. if you want to try and file a lawsuit, especially in EU on a company with servers in the USA, gl wasting 5-10k in litigation, thats before trial.

The thing is that i've payed for ncoins exactly in 30 nov and it told me to chose server, but shilen wasnt opened. After that i waited 1 day to lvl up my dagger to be sure il get vesper dagger in stand or bow or sword donno..i wanted to be sure that i get dagger. I entered in l2 store and i got dinasty pack then to be sure. I got all bonus items but no wepon or enchants, and my questions are : was i suppose to get wepon and enchants ? or i have to talk to some npc to get them ? or Will i still get them ? Pls moderator answer me when u have some time, thank you very much :)

You only get Vesper if you order Nov 29 or earlier. Since you bought on Nov 30, you don't get it.

1st of all its not top weapon :)) cuz u get free equipment till S with some easy quests. So basicly if u have weapon and u will use it at required lvl..thats not so overpowerd.
Then again u have lots of bonuses like in package from q, if i think again it was a bad investment if i wont get weapon vesper + enchants. Cuz all who make q will get to S easy and get a lot of useful bonuses from q and site reward, so pls dont tell me its not fair. Ur not playing years here to get S cuz u make it quite easy.
Dynasty pack is not worth it without that weapon at all, all im asking pls give us some answers. I got the ncoins when the offer was on, on the site. After that i loged on my acc and there was no Shillen server to choose,so i waited with ncoins bought till the next day for server to open. I logged char in sv, read on forums problems of vesper weapons missgiven for classes, and i've made that day lvl 40 assisn in order to get 100% dagger.
After that i got dy pack from l2store. So im not asking for any refund, just weapon and enchants after all Christmas is near :) make an effort for thous who support the server.

Erm, this is the wrong thread for that, but anyway's, what you are failing to realize vitality work's on time now, it doesn't degrade like it used to, so when you use a vit item it refill's some of your set vitality time~~
WTF, How you make someone pay $50 dollar's to get a vesper weapon with 10 enchant scrolls just so it could blow up and give 0 except 6 useless weapon scrolls. you see people with +16 by using some **** thing to get it +16 where normal people can't even get a weapon to +4 after paying $50. I have a question about the weapon you got. On the promotion site where i ordered the package there where no link to what weapon every class was to get, it only said you get a weapon suitable for your class. I play on 3 accounts, 2 doomcryers and 1 fortuneseeker. Dc use burning chop or hammercrush, you need 1-handed blunt or for mageskills and buffing 1-handed blunt with acumen. Dc got vesper retributer with healt! how do i use burning chop or hammer crush with this, and for buffing and mageskills you want acumen. Vesper retributer is not a weapon for a doomcryer. My Fs was so looking forward to his new vesper avenger but he got a dagger, its a realy nice weapon but i rather awaken as a gatekeeper than play a dagger, no offense to all you daggers out there its just me. He haven't got any dagger skills and will NEVER awaken as a dagger. 3x3600 NCcoins down the drain, please make the weapons trade able and ad the avenger to the list of weapons to get. On top of that i spent 100 miljon+ on earthcrys because i wanted it 300 earth, now i read that you cant go over 150. Next time let us choose what things we want and then we can choose if we want to buy them.

I bought the destiny pack thinking I can choose the weapon (makes sense to me because half the server will probably change to something else besides their given path). Now I have vesper fists with no great use for them except on sub (which I will probably never use). What was the point of buying the destiny pack again? Not to mention the element on the fists is EARTH when GK is a fire based toon? Really? Fail ncsoft...fail...

nope just Send in a ticket.... they wont give you a +5 nor a + anything just a +0 once they review your case further
The Destiny Pack Preview Promo was a hit! Some players that made the purchase had a less than optimal experience with the promo, however, due to various reasons which we would like to amend.
Problem 1
"I chose the wrong server!"
Several players that purchased the Destiny Pack chose the wrong server when specifying where to apply the item.
Solution: We are currently offering a one-time server-switch for the Destiny Pack, the Limited Time Bonus items, the Vesper Weapon of Destiny, and the 10 Destiny Enchant Scrolls that you received.

This server-switch service will be available for a limited time only, so if you need the server please contact us soon.
A Destiny Pack server switch is only possible if you have not opened the pack yet.

Say the name of your server and character that has the items now.

Please note that the same Vesper Weapon of Destiny rules apply when requesting a server switch: the Vesper Weapon of Destiny and the 10 Destiny Enchant Scrolls will go to the highest level character on the destination server.
Problem 2
"I thought I made it in time for the promo but I just barely missed it!"
Depending on their timezones, some players were confused about when the promo ended exactly. These players purchased the Destiny Pack expecting to receive the promo bonus of the Vesper Weapon of Destiny.
Solution: We have created a "grace period" for players that bought the pack within 11 hours after the promo's actual cutoff time.
The cutoff time was November 29, 2011, at 6pm CST; the grace period extends it to November 30, 2011, 5am CST. Players who missed the cutoff but still made the grace period will receive the promo items: Vesper Weapon of Destiny and the 10 Destiny Enchant Scrolls.
We already have a list of all the players that purchased the pack during the grace period: there is no need to contact customer support to request that you get the promo items.
The rules for the promo items received in the grace period are the same rules as during the actual promo: the promo items will be delivered to the highest level character on the server that they assigned the Destiny Pack to. The class of that character will determine the type of Vesper Weapon of Destiny they receive.
The promo items will be delivered in the maintenance on Wednesday, December 7, 2011.
The grace period does not include the Elegia weapon sweepstakes: the sweepstakes is over and no more Elegia weapons will be awarded.

So, let me get this right.
if you were too stupid to choose the correct server or couldn't manage to work out the timezone differences you then get helped by NCSoft.
If you read the forums and FAQ's when you purchase the Destiny packs and then proceed to blow your weapon (o-err) then you get no help at all.
Good job NCSoft!! Not another penny from me unless this is resolved.

Again submit a ticket support. If you bought the wep before the change to the FAQ most likely NcSoft will help you. If it was after then sorry since the update was in placed before the perches. The pack went on sale like Nov 23rd the up took place like on Nov 27th (I think). So if you bought it after that time frame I dotn think the are going to help

Refund or another vesper weapon should be given for the false advertisments you all been pulling. LOL, there solution is some people are lucky some people are not. That is so far from the truth. I demand refund, vesper weapon, or refund through paypal for false advertisement.

You are lucky you got any items at all for money, it used to be 15 dollars a month just to play. Weapons like those took months to attain. You are just mad because you understand it takes months to attain - really man, 85 is going to take a couple weeks to get, just get a fricken R grade weapon... nice and fair, cuz all other ppl that got a 1h or 2h wep they got it with the proper sa, but duals they where +0 (no sa), and like mine they failed to go +4. so we should get it back with +4 and not nothing.
i dont care for getting the wep +10 or something i just did this to give my BD lv77 a better wep than his +4 mid B duals.

I love how you originally in your promotional offer stated that they would reset to 0 but your answer ignores that fact and points to the website library and the FAQ you personally editted 2 days before the end of the event after many of us purchased that pack. I really expected more from you Sace..................
when they get to you, they will get to you. With the recent laid off they have, I think it might take a little mor etime to process hundreds of these requests, when there are hundreds of other people petitioned for other things.
lol its stupid of NCsoft to allow transfer of the vesper weapons package to the new servers especialy now they are of S grade quality. It wouldve been ok if they had provided a way to get these things easier w/o purchase of nc coins along with the elemental stones but no its still the same old low drop rates for elemental stones and vesper weapons arent even available in the town stores nor do ppl know how to get em in this update other than going to the lvl 80+ spots and spending days of hunting for mats trying to craft one with only a 60% chance of even succeeding, and then u have to worry about soul crystals from raid bosses. Way to make certain ppl overpowered NCsoft.
Rather than having ppl start off in the new server with atleast equal gear and having them work for the better weapons, you have people running around with the highest S quality weapons alrdy SA'd and 150'd just from buying a promo pack. I swear you guys need to think your events more thoroughly than this because you just created such a severe power gap between the promo pack buyer that received vesper weapons and the ppl who did not. You might as well add epic jewelry, weapons/armor and all gear enhancement items in your L2 store.
Hi, i have been waiting over a week for the destiny pack promo to be transferred from server to server. have talked to 1-2 GM's and they escalated the problem and have not gotten a response yet. please help. thanks.
Also, i do agree that the 10x Weapon Enchant Scrolls should be like BEWS where if u fail it goes back to 0.
I am a big fan of Lineage 2 and I always try to see things from both perspectives, players perspective and NCWest perspective, before commenting.
It is obvious that the Destiny Pack Promo, intended by NCWest to be a booster to L2 Store and L2 Galleria within the new f2p model while at same time rewarding players at the launch of GoD patch that were prepared to pay $50, had some design flaws.
First, dual Vesper weapons awarded by the promo have an unfair disadvantage over all other Vesper weapons because all weapons except duals already came with an SA. So we could safe enchant them to +3 and start to use them hapilly. On the other hand, the only way of getting SA on dual weapons is to enchant them +4 to get the respective SA with a 66% risk of breaking. In my opinion duals should have been made safe enchantable to +4. In resume, not all costumers that paid the same amount for the promo package got the same product. This is bad marketing and players are right to complain.
Second, the Elegia weapons awarded with the promo are pretty useless to 99.9% of the costumers who got them. To SA Elegia weapons we need 2022 S gems (808.800.000 adena buying from mamon merchant) and a level 18 soul crystal only obtainable from Antharas, Valakas and Extreme Freya. Although this knowledge is available to all who play Lineage 2, I dont think it was a fair promo gift because in the end we can not use it. So, after realizing that Elegia weapons are not usable by the common player who got the promo package, costumers felt that they have been lured by bad marketing.
After saying the above, I think NCWest can fix these issues easily with 2 solutions: make Vesper Promo package weapons safely enchantable to +4 (so everyone will have a Vesper SA weapon +4) and launch an event for players to obtain S gems and level 18 soul crystals easily (not the type of event that only 10 crystals and 1000 s gems are awarded over the entire server). Players that already broke their weapons dont have them in their inventory or warehouse, give another one with scrolls to every one of them. Anyway, the Vesper promo weapons will never get into market because they are bounded to our accounts, so no real problem concerning the L2 server economy.
I hope NCWest will fix these issues because people need to trust the L2 Store and L2 Galleria to buy from it and now that NCWest business model is based on the items sold to players, if trust does not exist the business model will be ruined and our beloved Lineage 2 will cease to exist.
