There is a great deal of players (including me) that don' t like the new update. What if another server, that would be run with the Hellbound client, would be created? For the ones who fancy Lineage' s good old times. Wouldn' t it be great? So everyone would be happy... Without the new pk system!... Without the whole new quest thing!!...

I can see your point my friend. But you should know that you are wrong. Do you want an example? Search into hopzone. You will see that Interlude servers own. Many of us will never get bored of L2' s old content. At least the NCwest guys should create one more server ( I would prefer it would be Hellbound ), see how it would go and act accordingly. They should at least give us the opportunity to have a great L2 time the way we want it. I predict that the Hellbound server (if it will be ever made) will gain much popularity and will always be preferred by many of us.
There are many interlude private servers cause the leaked server files are easy to obtain, cheap and work fine. Not cause people love interlude.
Out of everything I said, it this the only thing that you gave notice to? What I said is that every one of us deserves to have a nice L2 time. And the thing is that it is not just me that wants a new Official server, run with old chronicle files (not too old). I assure you that many people would love that and would be satisfied without wanting the server to be updated. Apart from small changes at least, such as enabling the mail function, the couple dance, etc...
Just like ZuFF says, it's been asked numerous times. The answer is no because Korea doesn't offer support for old releases, so if there's a bug, or an issue, they won't be able to make any fixes. Besides, they wouldn't even be able to run any events as they depend on Korea. :rolleyes:

What I' ve said is a fact, not just my opinion. It has been since months and I can still understand it through the complaints in the forum. It is also a matter that I have discussed with many people. I am not of the ones who want something and say that it is being wanted by others as well, just in order for it to be made. Κατάλαβες?...

That is why even if an update is completely horrid; with everything broken, they won't roll back to prior because the can't since those files were overwritten.
For them to open a new server that is only up to certain Chronicle they would pretty much have to redo it all from scratch, and for some reason I don't see NCsoft spending the money to obtain the code from a source that had gotten it illegally.

That's just your opinion ,you can't go out and start saying "I don't like that ...so change it" ,most of people on the older off servers had almost nothing to do ,an update comes out every 3 or 6 months and by the time the 2nd month end most of people have nothing interesting to do,that's why we get updateds,to give constant fun and interest to the people that are playing the game.
And always the posts about "reroll/launch IL-C4 server" are made by newly starting players,and also a reason why Private servers exist.
Also supporting another server for just what...2k people isn't free..it costs money to launch another server.;)

It's a fact if you point me to data that supports it. Can you? You talking to 4 friends is conjecture, unless you 5 can pay for a server by yourselves. A server needs about 3000 connections minimum to be sustainable. Have you spoken to 2999 people that support your idea?

Requests like these pop up from time to time for a variety of games. The only one I know that actually did something like this is Everquest, but I didn't follow it up to see how successful it was.
Basically, the idea of an MMO is to move forward, not backward. And no, it would not be fun to play on a stagnant server forever. I find that very hard to believe. Are you sure it's not just nostalgia ?
If you don't like something, provide feedback. I don't know how much of it will reach the dev's years, or how much they'll care about it, but that's the risk with games targeted at a completely different audience.

You're being really silly now...if it's that hard to play the game then follow it up with the Newbie guidte,that's why it's there.Also don't disable the tutorials.It's not harder than any other mmo game out there.Aion for example is way much more difficult to achieve a good point on getting geared up and leveled ,and i've played both games ,not just talking out of the blue.

You don' t have to be bright in order to play a game. I' d say, that people who have reached lvl 85 in the official server are probably the stupidest ones. My friends just have never experienced what is to play a MMORPG game before. F.e. I started playing L2 5 years ago. Not much, around 1-2 hours per week. It took me more than one year to learn that if I enabled the soulshots I would strike twice as hard. If you have to learn how to play a game on your own, without anyone helping you or giving you advice, you' ll have to find out things accidentally. The thing is that now you have to find out ten times more things... Many things have changed, many new features have been added, which practically makes it impossible for the newbie to learn easily how to play the game. Prove me wrong...

Hmmm...i'm pretty sure when you create character since what...c3 -c4 the newbie guide at the start place of every race tells you how soushots work and what they do.:) So it's basically your own fault or miss.

Well I start playing Lineage 2 the day that GoD launch. Never had expirience with lineage 2 before and I must say I found it ridiculous easy to follow the game.I took the items from the "path to the awaking bla bla bla" read the site so Im sure I wont lose any quest and all went fine.Now Im 40 and still searching on the world info map for some quest or some hunting spots.They only thing I havent found yet. its where to found the daily quest, but Im sure I will figure that out too :D.So I dont know maybe your friends got frustrated too soon and didnt like the game, maybe the didnt read the quest guide from the site.But For me my lineage 2 experience is too good so far.

Example : Yesterday some stranger walked to me on the internet cafe i was playing asking me bunch of questions about what my pans were for my character and telling me about what she read on the patch notes,thing that amazed me too,but i soon realised it wasn't just 1-2 people's way to deal with upcomming "surprises" of the update.

The game is kindergarden easy to start with, if your friends don't understand English then maybe they shouldn't be playing an international MMO?
Now if you, who seem to understand English fine, find the game harder than it was all I can suggest is you have problems adapting to change. Right now the game takes you by the hand and teaches you everything you need to know about it through the quest chains, and delivers you to second class with all the gear and knowledge you need to start enjoying it. How on earth you claim this to be worse and or more difficult I have no idea.
Now as to whether people that got to 85 on retail are stupid, you are welcome to your opinion but I beg to differ. The first character I created on retail was a dorf back in March 2004. This dworf is now 86 level, has 3 80 lvl subclasses and exists still after 7 years. And she's not even close to being my main character. Now whether that is dumb(er) than playing on random private servers, redoing the same 1-78 grind 10 times cause your characters got wiped or the server closed and ending up in retail as a level 1 in 2011 like you seem to ... well I 'll leave other people to be the judge of what's "dumber"

Well not NcSoft fault really since they are Supporting NA, if your Russian or some where from EU then play on Innova server might help out alot
