Yes you should, EU servers are for EU players. It makes more sense for you as far as distance with reference to the servers and it makes more sense for us because there wouldn't be an insane amount of crowding...taking all night to do one quest.

No one said anything about leaving. It is perfectly ok to vent frustrations about a launch of an mmo...
The real question: Why is Shilen the only server that needs special all day maintenance. The way the server is going up and down makes it seem like they don't really know what the problem is. So when in doubt just do trial and error until it works? It's also possible that they want some players to get frustrated enough to change servers.
anyway i still don;t understand admins. Why they have problem to make topic: serwer problems and explain it, we tryung to find problem and dunno when serwer can be again stain minimum time is 5-10h follow this topic and w8 for more info.

Expendable, they have professional system and network administrators as well as highly experienced programmers developing the backend systems in several different programming languages. Believe me when I say, it's not a simple process and even professionals use trial and error to solve problems. It's a part of the developmental and maintenance process, it's called debugging.

People will think twice before PKing, and you need to be a moron to PK by mistake. That's what flag states are for. The game isn't and was never about PKing.

This is somewhat normal for servers, it is possible there was a glitch within the copy of the game that once I character speed leveled to that location and did that exact action that caused the whole server to become unstable then we have a complete lock out. Reason why it looks up but is not is they are investigating what actions were taken before the crash. It is not an easy process... so sit back be patient, and hey if you dun like it there is always delete your character and move on to another server.

I agree that new "reputation" system isnt so good. PK was and everytime will be part of game.

Second... don't you understand guys that the flow of "I want to enter as fast as possible" players is really huge so it's normal even NCSoft's computers crash...
And third for the "I hate new pvp/pk system" players - this system is pretty good and I appreciate it! That should be 1 really good-working battle system - who make pk take the responsibility of killing someone without any equality! That will prevent low-grade zones from high-grade players with the complex "of being the great!". About the others with the stand "Who annoy me I will pk him!" - well since you boast that you are so strong ti kill this "annoying person" with pk, take in mind that you should be as strong later when he return with more people.

He killed three people (pkpping) with my help (I was lvl. 61, they were lvl 40-45 guys), 'cause they were hitting him/ksing him for more than 30 minutes. I just limited myself to heal my friend and he did the rest, pkpping. He found out just later what that pkpping meant. Btw if they don't fix this system, they will see the results. 100% sure about this

Listen up, the reason why the server is goind up and down is beacause they fix many things that require restart of the server, so be patient because they are fixing things.I`ve got an info that after this is done we gonna have an Announcement with the updates.
Maybe they are letting only a portion of players in to test something.
That would also add sense to test and fix things on a playable server instead of a test one. Just becouse people dont get on a test server with such intensity.
My bet is that they are working on login servers stability.

Example, if you go to new quests, all the quests that say "daily" appear to be one time, because they don't work more than once. Unless that is yet another bug; either way, the notes were either translated wrong, or it's a bug. Bad on NCsoft either way.

Or when you starte Daily quest at 60 you had 3 quest wich to chose, not to make all of them. I honestly have the same problem i want to make the others too but i can`t >.<

we apreciate theat you "ncsoft" team released l2 free but seems like you started with bouth left legs in the first day's server Shilen work but in slow motion we have to stay at log in 10 minutes ( i have a good pc) now server have "problem's". Please tell as how many player's logget in informative because theat is your finnest excuse .Thinc you have to rise above the other servers and game's theat are compete with you.

I'd like to thank the people involved in resolving the matter and getting the server back online. Additionally, I'd like to thank the forum moderator for keeping us informed. Although quicker and more-frequent updates would be appreciated, I'm grateful that we got official updates on the matter.

You really do have no idea!! Iv played solo all the way to 86. Not becuase i have a lack of socail skills but my dedication to the game when server population were low. This was because nearly all of you were being cheap skates running around on free illegal servers as you couldnt even pay or show appreciation to the company that created such a great game that you spend so much time playing!
Thats the way a lot of us had to go in the times of low server population. We paid for our subscription to get that privilege and we should continue to get that privilege as that is the way we enjoyed and played the game

when the chars are moving is totally different if theres a family of 4 guys and you see them making a party and going together and living chars is fine but when is just running behind you, is considered 1 guy taking 4 slots, when those 3 slots could be for another two people

the easiest way for resolve something like that about having multiple people with same ip is just that, let dual box but is annoying just seeing the log in screen with ''high traffic try later'' and when i finally get in i see a guy with two chars following him i just do /facepalm
