Dual class essentially allows you to level one sub beyond level 80 and 100%. The requirements are that you have completed the awakening quest and you have a level 80 subclass.
The dual class shares the main class's subclass skills (under Passive skills section - Occupation skills). The dual class will have a blue icon on the character info screen.
Quest Info
Talk to NPC Hadel (same as awakening quest). you must be on the subclass you want to dual class. He will send you to FoD to kill some mobs and then IoP to kill some mobs. as a reward, you get a unidentified twilight necklace and a level 15 soul crystal of whatever color you choose.
