I'm frustrated of the time we have waited the hidden device in "The legacy of cruma tower" quest, but that's not the worst. I went down in cruma, found a party(I'm tank), waited 20-30 minutes and got in that room with mertes which we killed in 3-4 minutes. I clicked on his corpse and hit the return button so the npc took me back at the hidden device. But wtf ... there was no quest item (Mertes's Core) in my inventory. C'mon people we killed that boss and the only one in that party who hasn't that quest item is the tank-me. Should i abort that quest ot what ?!
Actually now i aborted that quest and now it says that i don't meet the requirements for it.
Hi mate, I was stucked at same part... I did killed that boss 5 time because I was not getting Merte's Core... When you talked with linken, do you claim the relic detector? it look like a scroll of scape, my problem was because I dont claim that relic detector.
You are absolutely right about this. I just aborted the quest, waited 1 day and went to another kamaloka so the NPC in it gave me the quest again. This time Linkes gave me those scrolls and i finished the quest without any problems.

You didn't need to go to kamaloka again. Just back to Linkes and click 3rd option. I did the same error. I clicked "tell me about mertes" then i clicked "tell me about relic detectors" and when i saw there was nothink important i just went down to cruma without checking 3rd text. I've searched a lot how those relic detectors look but didn't saw them but i knew i just must find npc TP to get to Mertes. I followed group of players and found him without any detectors.
Hodo, i wouldn't post this if i didn't try all my options first. Yes, i tried the 3rd option but again Linkes gave me nothing so i aborted the quest. Nevermind, i switched the server. Now i play in Cronos(there are much less people in the beginner's territory and leveling is pretty easy)
