Hi you guys,
I'm Lendras from a foreign country, in Asia. And I have something to say. You may dislike it but you must know that I wrote this by heart.
Disclaimer: I doesnt work for NCsoft.
I didnt play in the offical server before (but I played in the private server that nearly like offical with all strict rules of the game, NO high rate, NO GM shops, NO GM buffs, NO God modes, even NO mana potions).
And this is where you choose to go on: "read" or "not read".
Many days I watch the forum. Read all posts and replies that relate to the new update: Goddess of Destruction. I found out there are someone who never give an idea, someone who like it, and someone who hate it.
In this post, I may talk only to who hate it.
The fact that you should know is when Korean didnt complain about it, your complaint will not change any thing. Just accept it as how it is and will be. It's will now become more easier to breath...
And beside that, you must look into L2's story line. If they remain the same as beginning, L2 will die - as least in Korean, the main market. I'm an Asian and I know about Asian. When the game become old, we will want some changes, events, and something new: Something that never happen before. Something unexpected. None of my friends complain anything about all that changes to L2. We just simply excited and always feel impatient for trying new updates.
This may be called "cultural difference".
I know all you guys love the game so much, more than me, but you must accept it. If anything doesnt change and grow, it will die. That's the Universe's Rule. It's always and always true. It's the rule that cannot be changed.
You may wonder how it works to L2...
You guys may already know that L2 have a deep myth and history itself. But that is the past, very long time before the events of C1. And all events that occurred from C1 to now are heavily depended in that myth and history.
So, what I want to say is: they - NCsoft - cannot add any history to the game to make the game grow! The history now is in your turn to write.
And they - NCsoft - simply reuse the provided materials to create all future events.
If you won't accept those future events... The game have no more reason to stay living.
If you love Lineage II, you must love its changes. Because all changes related to the story line and it's just that simple. "Shilen sacrified her followers" is just that simple. Don't expand it to any other fields like "technically problem" or "lazy working",...
And you may never participate in any "cultural war" because that war will never end. and you just gain more angry, more fire, more bloody exploit for nothing in return. That's sad.
You all can choose the way. Make it easy to breath. And your life will be more happy!
May it be impossible but I just want to see happiness around the world~

p/s: I'm not here to talk about "pay" or "not pay". Because I live in a developing country, where the money exchange rate to USD are so high for us (ex: 15 = 300). And the payment methods is very hard to follow. I'm just wish there will be a local server or a simple payment method.
