Just wondering. I've had conversations about this on other forums, and usually as it relates to free to play games, cash shops, etc. Now, that's a wide range of possibilities, so lets narrow it down to just Lineage II.
Generally speaking, players have two types of resource: time and money. Its possible to be rich in one, poor in the other, rich in both or poor in both, with a variety of reasons why you are what you are.
I'm deliberately leaving "cash rich" a little vague here. After all, there are plenty of other things we can (and do) spend our money on, the economy in many countries isn't the greatest, etc. Just think of it more as fun money you can spend responsibly for entertainment versus an actual dollar amount. Someone who can spend $5 responsibly is cash rich compared to someone spending $5 when they ought not.
Time rich means you have, relatively speaking, a lot of time to play in a responsible fashion. If you can play for several hours a night without any ill effect, you're time rich compared to someone who plays for hours while neglecting responsibilities, going into work hammered, etc. If you can only play for a little while (say, a few hours a week or less), you'd be time poor.
I was wondering, what category are you in, and what do you think of things as they are? Do you think your position affects this view? If so, how? Moreover, how have you adapted to the current scheme of things? How do the changes with Goddess affect you?
