You get rather quickly logged out of the forum and you cannot save the login, so every time I have to use the full login.
This made sense when L2 was P2P as you only wanted paying customers posting, but really, as anyone can make an account now for free, why not have it as a regular forum where you sign up and can save the login info for much less hassle?
I completely agree with you, also this forum is in dire need of a good makeover. It doesn't look good when they completely change the game and then just change a simple image at the forums. Forum needs to be updated and made look pretty, since this is such a great game it needs it.

Actually, when GoD came out I was expecting a new forum theme with the new expansion... I was pretty disappointed when that was not the case.
yes there is a **** good reason to keep it account bound forum.
otherwise random bo ts can auto create guest accounts or full blown accounts and spam the forums with wanting to sell adena or whatever other garbage..
it's bad enough that forums with hotmail/gmail/etc email accounts are banned from being valid, still get plastered with ****.
Also it is hard to track a users issues, if something comes up on the forums.. they can at least track it to the account.

That is easily taken care of in so many way. A simple way is to require CAPTCHA(sp) on the first 5 posts or heck, also at account creation.
On another note, forums that can't handle spam problem outside of banning hotmail/gmail/etc are stupid.
